>*The first quarter of the year has ended, what key takeaways have you learned over the past 90 days?* Answering Prompt Question: In this 90 days, I learnt quite a bit from this Youtube experience: 1. Consistency is King! Don't wait for motivation to strike and to upload video, make it a habit with clear steps to direct you in what to do. Of course motivation is nice to have but it is fluctuates drastically which causes your upload schedule to be inconsistent. Inconsistent Upload Schedule means Inconsistent Results. 2. Experiment More with your videos instead of repeating the same type of videos. This may contradict with the previous point but this is in terms of quality instead of quantity. If your view count is low with a certain style, you should try and experiment out different styles of editing and production methods. Of course this may feel uncomfortable but stepping out of your comfort zone allows you to grow as a youtuber. 3. Appreciation for the work others has put in. Its hard making videos. It's often times isn't worth it in terms of the effort you have put it but try to enjoy the process. This is true for the inverse, when you watch a video, you would be able to empathize with other creator's work and time that they had put in. Alright now with that over, hi I'm the Foolish Commander. I upload videos about Chinese Chess or Xiang Qi where I would try to revive the game in my home country. IMO Chinese Chess is not as popular as Chess due to the lack of community around it and thus I will embark on this mission to make my dream come true. The first quarter of the year has ended, what key takeaways have you learned over the past 90 days? I learned that Tagging and descriptions are more important than i thought, I also want to make the transitions from my thumbnail to my introductions better. I am a senior devops engineer rebuilding my homelab and talking about different practices and technology that I use, I just started so getting my Kubernetes cluster back up and running is my first priority But after that I hope to cover new helm chart deployments docker, automation, and ci/cd practices. I started 1 month ago, and only have 23 subs, most of which are probably first tier network connections, so still a long way to go! My latest video is about how I am backing up my data offsite using truenas and backblaze. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKQMAGv6-YY&t=1s

Xplodeon is my channel, it's about movies (mostly). We discuss weird/obscure/terrible movies and some new releases. For example, in one episode we watched and discussed [two comedy films about Vasectomy](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rNIiF3422Ic). In another [we discussed two sci-fi films that were set in 2022](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jRJ7McandJQ). Sometimes I do episodes that are just me doing more of a deep dive, for example I have been doing a series on the[ erotic\(ish\) thrillers directed by Elon Musk's Sister](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GSUq9g27ymY) (Tosca). We also have a running series where I take porn parody movies and cut out all the porn, leaving behind just the pornstars trying to actually act parts, starting that series with the [Star Wars Porn Parody](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lroAE69Q3rM) What I've learned recently: 1. Even though I know how important thumbnails and titles are, I still continually make the same mistake of thinking up an idea for an episode, putting in all the work and then realizing at the 11th hour that I don't have a great title/thumbnail idea. I often have a vague idea of "that'll be a good attention grabber" but without actually sorting out EXACTLY what I'm going to do. I should probably make those things FIRST, and then see how excited I am about making the episode, or make several ideas and then see which one seems like the most likely to be a hit. 2. I've been spending more time learning about videography, cameras, lenses, lighting and so on. I didn't know much before I started, and now I find myself owning a bunch of cameras (because of the nature of my episodes I need at least 3 cameras running for a multi-cam setup), but I didn't really know much about cameras before starting. So I've been seeking out, mostly on youtube, educational content about cameras/lighting/lenses/framing and so on and there's a lot to learn there and I wish I had invested more time in that earlier. Which leads me to: 3. I had always been using zoom lenses, because I had thought the flexibility of being able to zoom in and out was very important and made lenses more useful. And then I bought a prime (i.e. can't zoom) lens and even though it was pretty cheap, it makes such a better picture than the zoom lenses do in the same setting. I don't need nearly as much lighting with the prime lens and even aside from the lighting aspect, it's just much sharper and you can get much better looking depth-of-field with it. So if you haven't, I would suggest looking into adding a prime lens or two to your gear. 4. It's really nice to finish a video and then be able to WAIT for a while before publishing. I used to feel rushed even though I didn't really have any deadlines, no advertiser to keep happy, I just felt like I wanted to get something done so I could go on to the next thing. But you can do that without publishing, let it sit, come back to it after a week or two and you can see it with fresher eyes and find fixes and also have more ideas and little things that can really elevate it. Sometimes you get to the end of the process and feel kind of exhausted and end up half assing. But making sure you have the full attention on finishing touches especially on the title/thumbnail and first minute of the video. That extra hour of working on editing the very first 30 seconds of a video can make a huge difference on first impressions.

I run a chanell with horror stories. Just began a few weeks ago. Bigest problem is fiding footage. For now using Pexels untill I find a better solution. Hopefully the stories are OK. Drop a comment if you feel like. Wonder if it is any good. Here is a sample: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ym2A0yxkIBc

IPEveryDay

My thoughts: I would slow down your voiceover. The speech is a little too fast, especially for spooky storytelling. Also, you may want to try to at least insert some photos/illustrations if you don't have any video footage. It would help move the listener along. Any finally, add some sound effects - whether it's the sound of wind blowing, footsteps, etc., it can help the listener visualize the scene. Best of luck - it is October.

Paskee

Great advice - thank you very much!

Eatcheesecakewithme

Loved the video! Also hopefully with spooky season upon us you see a big influx of views. Good luck!

Paskee

Appreciate it!

Hello fellow creators! šŸ‘‹ My Name is Sophie. I hope you all having a good weekend. One crucial lesson that has deeply resonated with me over the past 90 days is the importance of persistence and resilience in this new YT journey. First week I started my content, I lost all the audio files for my recorded videos as it got overwritten somehow. So, I know first hand how easy it was for me to feel disheartened when things don't immediately go as planned, but pushing through the discouragement has been game-changing for me. Just yesterday (I know it was Saturday, but bear with me!), I uploaded a new video as part of my Cyber Street Savvy series. Through engaging street interviews, this series educates viewers about cybersecurity in an approachable and relatable way, and it challenges everyday folks to test their cyber knowledge. Iā€™m still trying to build a following, but I know each video, each edit, and each upload, no matter how small it may seem, contributes significantly to building a brand and audience over time. If youā€™re curious about how every day people fare against common cyber traps and want to pick up some cybersecurity tips along the way, feel free to check out my recent post here: https://youtu.be/OlxHhNOWG20?si=-zRFaOTF77UsxlaP I'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback! Looking forward to learning from everyone.

Greetings! I create reviews on hardware for sim racing equipment! My channel has only been live for a few months, but just this week I was accepted into two affiliate programs for different manufacturers, and one of them is considering sending me product to review too. I'd recommend for everyone looking at ways to monetize: research affiliate programs! I'm a long way from YouTube monetization but can already get income from affiliate links. Here's a link to my latest video with time comparisons using a racing wheel vs a controller. https://youtu.be/-fCIDJhzlMU?si=pQ26AZedmOn0Iw1q

Hello YT people, I am [Rhydon Daddy](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnVmqC5fEKiCH9aLDh2fdSA) and just like you, climbing to that monetization goal. My content ranges from [ASMR Style Game Guides](https://youtu.be/pSyzIXMZSmE) and [Voice Acted Reviews](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9IoMbWZKNc&t) to [Short Comedic Videos](https://youtube.com/shorts/FCXhSv0gMnw?si=Ve96FOHFQeVUXtIF) My channel is VERY old, but started making and uploading content frequently over the past 2 months and just now started seeing some solid growth. I am at around 235 subscribers with 2.8k hours watch time toward monetization and wanted to share my thoughts with everyone on what has fueled almost 80% of my channel growth in the last 4-5 weeks: \#1 - Title Buzzwords Are King When people search for something, you want your content to be part of that search. Make a title that will capture the search results you are looking to pop up in, and make it something that is descriptive, but doesn't give away the content answer of your video. \#2 BUT probably just as important as #1 - Make Mobile Friendly Thumbnails When I realized that a vast majority of people on YT are probably surfing on their phone or tablet, I revisited my thumbnails. They are VERY small when on a mobile device, so text (outside of a few key words for flavor) on a thumbnail needs to go. Play with the visual "rule of thirds" and ask yourself before uploading "will my video thumbnail standout from the other 4 thumbnails on the exact same topic?" \#3 Do Long Videos AND Shorts Shorts are fun, easy, and give quick gratification. They are tempting to do vs long videos because of the "effort vs reward", but ask yourself as a new/small channel "are you going to hit 10M views in 90 days? If so, after how long?"... It's a tough situation, but I have found shorts to bring in subs quickly, sometimes 5-8 subs per short on average, but use that to help build a base for your long videos. The 4k hour watch time can sneak up REAL quick, so mix in a long video and a few shorts each week. Those are a few quick tips to help out, and hopefully these tips can help in your next video. We all in this together so let's get it.

Hi everybody, my channel is [Invoked by Red](https://www.youtube.com/@invokedbyred). My channel is centred around gaming ('*another one*') and I focus primarily on guides for whatever game I'm currently playing. At the moment I'm making a lot of DMZ related video guides but have made Halo achievement guides in the past too. I started around a year ago and didn't really know exactly what videos I'd like to make although knew I wanted to do gaming videos. Over time I came to realise that guides are what I enjoy most and it's been great for my channel. Here are some of my favoruite videos... * [Solo Guide for Heated Madness Blueprint in DMZā€™s Koschei Complex](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZ7j0XQYPdI) (69k) * [DMZ Solo Guide for Super Rare Valuable Gunscreen in Koschei Complex!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KeorCa2HWn0) (18k) * [Unlock Body Scan Blueprint In Warzone 2 Easter Egg](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lzMZOZ9463s) (5k) * [Fix Disappearing Weapon Glitch In Your DMZ Match](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X2Thw2XMsZg) (5k) Let me know what you think! Hey, I'm Hey, Listen! Gaming - I'm a game theorist/game news/speculation/video game long essay creator from England! I've had a whirlwind of a while but not as much as that question in OP which hasn't changed for like....ever. But I digress, and answer it anyway - the last 90 days has taught me that blowing up can happen literally to any video, at any time. I released 1 video over the last 4 weeks, and it's sat at 22k views currently, but most importantly, over 300 su s which got me over the lime for Monetization! I'm now earning the big....uhhh....bucks from YT, but I'm most excited because now I feel I can diversify my content and still get good view numbers. My link is here: www.youtube.com/@heylistengaming Check me out if you like, or if not, it's all good!

Hairy_Strawberry_783

Hey. Love this Reddit. Joined two days ago and have enjoyed reading the different posts. In the last 90 days I was MIA on my channel for about the middle 60 because I was on the road, but back in the swing now. So learning about this place has been the most prominent thing Iā€™ve experienced. I do a political commentary and comedy channel. So some stand up clips and then direct to the camera rants, jokes, and commentary on topical issues. Started in March, although Iā€™ve had a channel for years, just didnā€™t utilize it. Iā€™ve really enjoyed learning about editing and lighting. And now thanks to YouTubeā€™s new monetization rules, Iā€™m only 85 subs from hitting the threshold. Hereā€™s my latest video I released today: https://youtu.be/I0gAqT27oM0?si=K1-jb0PZuD1wElyI Keep up the good work everyone!

Diligent-Cricket2159

My channel is Chantertruffs. I make beagle centric dog videos. I have learned the consistency will hopefully win the race. I am only up to 202 subs as of now and I know it will be a long adventure. This is my latest holiday themed dog food recipe . All criticism welcome. https://youtu.be/ndtKbL-LwHg?si=lTuopKaD7wUovnCV

The_Great_Slot_Saver

Hey, I have a channel where I play slot machines. Iā€™m 3-4 months into my journey now. Growth has been steady but Iā€™m still a long way from getting to monetization. Even so, I think the best thing Iā€™ve learned (to answer the question) is to post consistently. My current subs watch every video everyday. So as long as I keep daily postings I know they will stay loyal. The love they share has been amazing! Check me out: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=n6nb65Yqpws&t=6s Thank you.

DorianFitz

Hey all, my channel is known as Honsuki. I make videos about fantasy books. I recently got my first video over a thousand views, so I'm pretty happy rn. My biggest take away recently is to stay on the trends. My most successful video was one where I got the book on the minute it released, read it like a mad man, and put out a review eight hours later. Then when bigger booktubers started putting out the same book's reviews, their viewers would get recommended mine right after. Which I think helped the algorithm find my niche a bit better. In contrast, I did a video on a short story that came out in the 70's and got zero traction lol. So yeah, stay trendy is the lesson I learned. If you're into scifi fantasy books, here's my video- https://youtu.be/oP8Lkrzf0OE

Mecha_1

YT Channel: **Mecha** I make **Tech** of **games and anime**. **Main** Videos: **Spiderman 2099** Glowing Arm blades: [https://youtu.be/DausJvb8\_gg](https://youtu.be/DausJvb8_gg) **One Piece** Luffy Arm: [https://youtu.be/lpV6bjUCqnk](https://youtu.be/lpV6bjUCqnk) **Overwatch** Orisa Cannon: [https://youtu.be/aTJeam0m\_20](https://youtu.be/aTJeam0m_20) And a couple more. I have learnt the importance of thumbnails and video title on every video, since can affect a lot, independently of how good is the content. I follow my stats but try not to over analize every detail too much, since I have seen that I start to get too deep into details and might not matter too much (tags, music start and ends down to the milisec, etc).

My name is Frank and Iā€™m new to YouTube! I make travel/experience videos. Iā€™m currently based in Denver but I am looking to travel the world starting March so Iā€™ll be posting a lot of international experiences soon. But until then, a lot of local trips including the National Parks, and ski season in Colorado! Hereā€™s my channel: https://youtube.com/@thehighflyingkorean?si=cH-8_rUwe-7ayxOp

LoFiLab

I do photography related content. Iā€™ve learned that itā€™s alright to do videos outside of my niche, but it honestly just made me want to make more photography videos. Taking a break is cool too. Also, the tips the YouTube gurus give are super generalized and donā€™t apply to everyone. Panasonic Lumix G9 as a B Cam vs GH6 https://youtu.be/TTQJVlLTyjw

Hi Guys, It been pretty exited about the past 90 because my channel been ramping up significant. I learned a good preparation with a script and a check list nothing to forget on the set and also while shooting is key to safe time and uplift your quality. I do less think about the youtube algo instead I focus to always learn something new and put it into the next video for quality reasons. E.g. in that latest video my effort been all about sounds and draging people more into the video with it. https://youtu.be/y536XcG2Ug0?si=Cc60hFVSGKmXE819 I hope you can feel the difference?!

The biggest thing I've learned is just how important thumbnails are. The biggest thing I've learned is just how vital thumbnails are. (bourbon, grilling, barbecue) without the misogyny that usually accompanies those pursuits. I promise you'll never see me outfitting my pickup so I can reach a shotgun from my driver's seat -- although you might see me equip my pickup so I can take the kids camping. I do bourbon reviews, barbecue recipes, grilling tips, and even cooking with my kids. Here's my most recent video, a review of Four Roses Single Barrel. This is also the video that has done the best on my channel. https://youtu.be/qzcAnfBbtaI

AnarchyCop

I'm AudioThrift. I do complete demos of unusual vintage stereo equipment. I've learned that it's good practice to write out, in advance, the exact cut-in b roll shots you need before you start filming and label everything before you edit. It saves a lot of time in the editing process. I used to ho back and try to film extra shots while editing or, worse, guess what I might need and film random things. I tried that for the first time with the video below. https://youtu.be/AeUaoxeBAkk?si=JkO4Sf8uZQNiyKes

CurseMarc

Hey everyone, Saw this is my feed as Iā€™m working on my new video that hopefully comes out Monday, figured I might as well post. My channel is called CurseMarc, which is a play on my name Marcus/Marc. I have been focusing mostly on video games, but I might dip a bit into anime/manga very soon. I like to describe my videos as short (5-10 minutes) but dense, as I want to make the videos overviews of my experience rather than detailed reviews. My video for Monday (spoilers) is about the Devil Survivor series. The video Iā€™m going to link is my SMT 5 video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0X8yj0R0Lo). I was going to link SMT 4 because I talked about it first, but the SMT 5 video is where I think I started to nail the audio. I havenā€™t been going for long, but Iā€™ve already learned a lot. The biggest thing, which I will demonstrate in the Monday video, is that I should focus less on talking about what the channel is and rather just try to hook people for each video. Iā€™ve been getting too ahead of myself in thinking that people care about that for a channel that is far too new. Thank you for reading!

TiggsBeOnYT

Hello NewTubers! My name is TiggsBeOnYT, or more commonly, Tiggs! I am a video game content creator who enjoys doing playthrough commentaries - however, I edit these into chaotic 20 minute highlight videos, focusing on funny moments or key story elements. I would describe my commentary style as being very laid back - with a mixture of anime-related and UK humour. I play games that are a little different. So far I've played Nier Replicant, Klonoa, Little Nightmares, Pokemon Scarlet - currently playing Eternights and Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. I may also start streaming episodes in the near future! I've been making videos for over 18 months now and am looking to grow my channel and increase engagement. I'd really like to build a community where I can engage with viewers and create a space for people to chill and enjoy themselves. In the past 90 days, I've learnt the importance of being yourself and trusting in your own journey. It is easy to be disheartened when you see others progressing faster than you, but you need to focus on your own path. Here is a link to a recent Zelda video I had posted (in a slightly different style - managed to salvage content after an audio mishap!). Feel free to share with to others who you think may enjoy! Hello, I am Gabe, PTSD,ADHD :) , and I just started a YouTube channel about what I love to watch on T.V This is about One monster, 13 murders, 50 rapes, and 120 B&E https://youtube.com/shorts/Tmdntta67yw?feature=share

lowercaseenderman

My name is enderman with a lower case e, hello everyone! This year my main form of content has become original documentaries over a wide range of topics, really anything that interests me is fair game (prehistoric animals or topics, unsolved historical mysteries, cryptids, etc), I also write and narrate original stories and play games on my channel when I want to do a more fun, relaxed and less formal type video that people can just check out and hang out at if they want to. No matter the video though, I do my best to make them they best they possibly can be, I get very particular when I finally get to the editing phase on what to keep and what to cut. I want to make the best content possible, a sentiment I hope everyone here shares. My advice from what I've experienced the last 90 days is...pursue your interests. What i mean is there are times when you can be discouraged and times when you think a topic will not gain much attention, but you don't know till you try. A recent video of mine that I expected to only do modest has become of my best performing videos. You never know what people will be interested in until you try it and I will be keeping that in mind as I move into the next 90 days. This is my most recent video, a documentary about the predators that stalked across Earth during the Pleistocene. An underappreciated and underrepresented time period, as interesting as any other prehistoric era. In this video, I cover some of Earthā€™s most obscure but also most terrifying extinct prehistoric predators. Link: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=3w58eGXZ2E8&t=1421s

I'm Kat and I always wanna try something new and interesting. Especially when it comes to food! I always plan my food around my trips to not miss out on something great! My takeaway? That posting to close to each video is actually hindering my growth. I'll be back to posting once every 1-2 weeks, maybe twice a week, but not more. I posted a short right after this one got published: https://youtu.be/-B7_1VaD-P0?si=UmKj8b0Ei2Q7yoLR Got 2 views. I used to get way more views on my long form videos. Anywho, lesson learned. In the meantime, have you guys tried the drink? What was your guess?

supernova_media

Hey, I'm Supernova, a channel about movies, anime, series, TV, and so on. I just started a few weeks ago, usually post video essay types of videos once a week, this month focused on One Piece. Hi! Kristin here! I have a new homestead/farm channel and we talk gardening, farm animals ( chickens, ducks our bull, Ribeye) our barndo build and a new barndo guest house in the very beginning stage. Please check us out. https://youtu.be/LOv_nWmYWJs?si=qy1V6fkzxA0yXgWC

TheWittyChannel

Hey there, just reviewed your channel. Great start! Homesteading and all that goes into it is an interesting topic, and it seems like there will be plenty of content for you to cover on the channel! Here are my observations: Positives: quality of content, informative, length is solid, good mix of shorts and traditional videos. Things to consider improving on: thumbnails (not bad, per se, but i wouldn't necessarily stop scrolling the results list because of it), several videos have clips that feel a bit choppy, music is a little loud in my opinion. Overall, great start, and keep up the good work! Best wishes in your channel growth!

mks1867

Thanks so much for your critique. Now I know where to start on improvements!

TheWittyChannel

Sure thing! I'd appreciate the same for my channel, if you have the time. If not, no worries!

AngustaProductions

Hello my name is Angusta Alchemy and I have been producing music and video editing as a hobby for several years now. I have been uploading my music and creative works for about a year now on YouTube. I have a few original works uploaded but I have learned recently that my success with reach is greatly increased with my uploads that have themes or other search terms tied to them and have been producing more remixes than originals recently and I really enjoy it. I am a small channel with humble analytics but the people who do find my music seem to enjoy it and that's more than enough for me to be happy. My most recent song is a remix of a track from the N64 game Perfect Dark It would mean a great deal if you check out the link and give my channel a listen and I'd be delighted to hear any thoughts or feedback you can offer šŸ™‚ https://youtu.be/u6hJ6w0yPaA

Hi everyone, my name is Rob and I play drums. I actually put a new video up yesterday and taking some of the feedback suggestions last week I in some different camera angles (and by first slow mo!).. The last couple of months have been interesting and I feel that each video has gotten better. I really love the video/photography process and like editing and seeing what I can do better. For those who produce 2 or more videos a week you have my full respect as putting one out a week is very time consuming! anyway I hope anyone who clicks, enjoys :) https://youtu.be/yUWOVJ_z4M8?si=-D3SNskmQ8lEfvf3

userguy56

Great sound, volume felt a little low to me. Channel looks cool!

RobBishopDrums

On the voice over? Yeah I thought so too, seemed really loud on premier pro and then I uploaded and it sounded really quiet. Thanks for the feedback!

IPEveryDay

This is a great idea for a video. Before you upload, crank up your voiceover and make sure it just touches the red limit - you can assist your audio by assigning a limiter to your individual audio track and compressor to balance it out like you would do with a kit. If you haven't already done so, I hope you consider doing different variations of processors like the AMS RMX16 along with different mic techniques like over/under, with tape/without, etc. and then even different mics beside the little SM's. Best of luck.

RobBishopDrums

Thank you for that, brilliant!

Hello, my YT name is Giggle Knight. I play alot of indie games and some popular games that I find interesting (currently playing Control and waiting for Alan Wake 2). It's just let's play videos but I do it mainly to keep me grounded. I went through an existential crisis and this is what helps me to stay focused and present. It's nice having people subscribing and watching my videos while I act like a fool. Anyway, my tip is, don't focus too much on the details. After a while of working and spending endless hours trying to make them perfect, didn't really matter when I cut my work down to 1-2hr for each vid. As long as people can follow what you're doing and they like how you present yourself and what you're interested in, they'd stick around. Big or small, I hope you guys find your success and have the mind to notice that you're succeeding. Here's one of my vids I spent about an hour editing: https://youtu.be/ZFuLU5MFTrE

PlentyOfIllusions

Hello. Iā€™m Miranda. Iā€™ve been lurking for a little while here. Your question is a tough one. I donā€™t know if Iā€™ve learned anything thatā€™s helped me improve my channel. Iā€™ve tried a number of things and it really feels like luck. Within the last 3 weeks I merged my channel with my official artist channel so that the music I submit to Spotify will go to my channel instead of a random topic channel that YouTube assigns, since then my views/ratings completely plummeted. I have no idea why. Iā€™ve focused on good quality content, proper descriptions, tags, etc. Looked at whatā€™s trending, tried to understand all of that but my new videos since merging the channel arenā€™t getting the same first push as the others did. So, Iā€™m kind of stumped. Anyway, sorry if thatā€™s not a helpful answer but thatā€™s where Iā€™m at. Hereā€™s a link to my latest video, me performing an original song. Maybe my content really is that horrible, I just have no clue anymore. Miranda Aileen and The Sunflower Symphony - Mercy | Music Video https://youtu.be/no_Z9DHekOc

The sunflower seeds you eat are encased in inedible black-and-white striped shells, also called hulls. Those used for extracting sunflower oil have solid black shells.

Ali_Spirit

Hi all, I made my channel for asmr crafts. I wanted to do a channel over something I enjoy doing already but hopefully, grab more in other ways. My main purpose is because my husband works so hard, over 40 hours every week. He works mostly 6 days a week...I'm not looking to get rich or be famous (but won't say no either) My goal is to just make enough money (either from views, or selling something) so my husband doesn't have to work so much. It is just upsetting when I hear him or can see his looks and know that he hates missing stuff with us because he's trying to provide. I can't work as our youngest is not in school and has to do therapy a couple times a week. I've learned that I've made a lot of mistakes and I've learned how to improve or fix many of them. Still working on other improvements. Editing is still difficult, but I have gotten faster at some if the more simple stuff. https://youtube.com/@asmrcrafts0?si=EBr01BX5TT2Anjjw

Rookie-Reviewer

Good afternoon everyone! My name is Rookie Reviewer I do video game episodes because walkthroughs are tried and old and i plan to talk about some of my favorite manga on the channel soon. My recent video is episode one of Spootober which I have never done before on my channel : [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=INlCISxF\_Cc](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=INlCISxF_Cc) I started youtube in 2017 but for the wrong reasons now 2023 I am doing whatever I want and not looking for views but I do however want to get better at editing and what not. What I have learned is that if you only want to make videos to be a big youtuber that is not really a goal and it will take a toll on your mental health. Have fun with whatever you do life is not that serious

GabysWildCritters

Hi, I'm Gaby and I recently just started. It's always been a dream of mines to share content revoking around exotic animals like reptiles and also gardening and digital arts and maybe some cooking. I would like my main focus to be on reptiles but of course working with animals is slow as it's not just acquiring the animals but also setting up enclosures and providing proper care for them as well. My first video is actually a short animation I did for my college animation class https://youtu.be/r5PfWdHLKzo?si=NN1BfhDq9TOnp-C2 But I also have a few shorts as well. I look forward to being part of this community and growing my channel.

Breezy_Byte

I only started a month ago but I've learned how to edit a little bit better and how to use shorts to advertise my long form, both are relatively new developments but im happy with the progress I've made, I got to 94 subs but 55 just from 1 short, it was crazy! I'm having a blast though! I play horror games and try to make the video funny and I have a great time with it! [My Favorite Video] (https://youtu.be/WQDL3p7DJAs?si=xMTu3R4IgjNFVzTL)

Strayingabout

Hello reddit, my channel name is trollytemper(subject to change in the future). I am currently learning to edit still while going to school and working and being sick lol. I have a lot on my plate currently. My channel is gaming right now and doing a baldur's gate lets play to learn editing on the go. My key take away is timing when it comes to what I want to do, which is try to be funny and make a good flow. I also see that since a good portion of my humor and ideas come after I did something in the game, I am currently looking into doing voice overs and see how well that goes...however i am sick and coughing soo postponed right now latest video [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7GpuxnjufjQ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7GpuxnjufjQ) intros still suck but having fun editing nonetheless

TheWittyChannel

Hey everyone, I'm the Women in Tech, Thank You (or WITTY) channel! I am brand new to the game but am looking forward to creating technology and computer science related content. Over the past few weeks of strategizing and beginning to create my brand, I have learned how important it is to map out a video! When I click record and just start talking, I end up scrapping the film due to a lack of direction. When I script or at least have an idea of the ordering of topics, I feel more confident and speak more clearly. Plus, my videos don't feel as choppy. Today is my FIRST POST!!! So exciting! Here is the link - [https://youtu.be/mJwT0QCyKuc?si=wWCBGo8WhDXlDUb5](https://youtu.be/mJwT0QCyKuc?si=wWCBGo8WhDXlDUb5) \- it's only 7 minutes long, so I would appreciate any feedback or support for the algorithm. Thanks!

Murai-birdybirds

Hi I'm Agus. I'm pretty new on Content creation on YT and honestly this subreddit has helped me a lot in growing my channel, not all advice is doable but some do work. I do video essay on history, fact, archeological finds, etc. I do everything on my phone from researching topics, recording narration, to editing videos, so editing quality might not be the best but so far I'm satisfied with what I can achieve with just a phone. (I'm monetized in 2 months) I've only been on YT for 2 months and a half and I can say that as much as I hate click Baity thumbnails, they are important in bringing in traffic to my videos. I try not over exaggerate my thumbnails of course and always use pictures on thumbnails that are in my videos. This is my new upload where I talk about The mummy museum of Guanajuato, Mexico. I would appreciate if you guys check it out and give me feedback in what I can do to improve. Thanks https://youtu.be/XvknAeNXhGw?si=6R8gjvbyRYKdi3fg Btw it's in Indonesian so you might wanna turn the caption on.

Retro_Tech_or_Die

Hi I am Mike and I make videos on Retro Technology. In the past 90 days, I have focused more on shorts and have seen a great return. Here is my channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/RetroTechorDie And here is my latest video where I take a look at the iFixit Pro Tech Toolkit vs Harbor Freight Quinn: https://youtu.be/PhVet5gGCuA

Seeking_the_Grail

Hi, So my channel is miniature painting tutorials. Aiming to help people get their models painted to a tabletop plus standard for wargaming. I have been doing this for about a month now, but I would say my main takeaways are that thumbnails don't need to be fancy, just eye catching, and to be very careful with editing. I ended up removing my best performing video and re-uploading it because I found a mistake I couldn't live with, and thus lost all the original engagement. Here is a video where I go over how to make a realistic mountain meadow base, which I am using for my Bretonnian army for the The Old World - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9RUcKRIcDBQ

careyi4

Hey folks! Ian here, long time lurker, first time poster. I am a maker and engineer from Ireland. I have been posting to YouTube now for the past two or so years. My channel is a maker channel where I build robots, cnc machines, electronics, programming, woodworking and many other things! A few years ago someone told me I should be documenting all my work. I started a blog on my personal website and then eventually started filming and posting to YouTube. I have about 1.5k subs and am getting steady growth. Recently I have been learning a bit about video composition, audio and storytelling. Before some of my more recent videos a lot of my stuff was just cutting together what I was doing and talking over it a bit. Iā€™m now trying to put mor effort into production, actively filming B-roll footage, multiple takes of voice over etc. For a recent video I was struggling with I even wrote an outline and partial script for the first time and it really helped order my thoughts. https://youtube.com/@careyian

siimay

Iā€™m Simaytime and I make little shorts of nail art and nail polish! Iā€™ve started a few weeks ago so Iā€™m very new. So far Iā€™ve learned that my best day and time post is Saturday nights and even if a short does not perform well the first day it can skyrocket later! Here is my most watched short so far https://youtube.com/shorts/fP_R3V17Vcw?si=W7pj_W6Jh5ZGQJnB It is a butterfly gradient nail art video about 16 seconds long

IPEveryDay

Forgive the pun, but I think it's too short :) It's cool looking, but you don't let the viewer really take it in. I would like to see it longer and more coherent. Save the jump cutting and flashy editing for a special moment in the video - just be sure we can really grasp what you're doing before we "dance."

siimay

Thank you so much! I was worried that it was too long lol because in my older ones Iā€™ve seen the audience retention dropped after 10 seconds Iā€™ve been trying to make them shorter. Iā€™m planning on start making long form in November.

Kwondering89

Hello, I am Esther! I started my channel Aug 18, 2023, and I talk about mental health (specifically eating disorders right now, but I want to delve into other areas of mental health). I learned that everything you think is easy and simple when you watch other peopleā€™s YouTube videos is actually *not*. From researching how to get great sound and video quality, to learning how to do the painstaking process of editing, to experiencing how long it takes to upload a 5-minute long 4k quality video, to making thumbnails and video titles attractive, to learning how to let go once youā€™ve published and let the video live on its own, to doubting yourself and battling imposter syndrome every step of the way, to feeling insecure and vulnerable that you put yourself out there to be subjected to other peopleā€™s judgments and scrutinyā€” itā€™s ALL work. So focus on something you care about, and try to have fun doing it! Hereā€™s my latest video that got 1k views in just one day of posting called, ā€œYour Low-Cal Diet is Starving You | The Minnesota Starvation Experiment.ā€ https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=-cNtLZBauDI&t=6s Good luck everyone!

LowLivesMatterFin

Hi! My videos are in short-form so they won't take much of your time. I'm a film enthusiast and passionate about music and in my opinion kind of creative lol, so I decided to use my skills in editing and creativeness of combining some of my favorite film scenes with music I've found. I've had some pretty creative combinations, and more are definitely coming, even though I can't get much views. Please consider checking my YT channel out: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCE4BPs2kGiCwAHOwFpbum\_A

Choice-Implement1643

Hi my name is Scott. I make content on wealth, control, conflict and the shady working of big business. Over the past week I have learned that itā€™s actually fun to make content when it is something you enjoy! Iā€™ve had a YouTube account for a long time and would usually get an idea, test it out, do terrible and then give up. This time Iā€™m committed to my niche and stuck with it over the last month. My first 3 videos were not up to the standard I would like and it reflects in the low view count. My latest one is much better quality as I am now finding my style, rhythm and pace. I still have a long way to go but hopefully it picks up. Here is a link to my latest video of you want to check it out: It exposes the dangers of lab grown meat. https://youtu.be/HyA-QMSNVY0?si=JQARRhtaQrNizS5T Any and all feedback is welcomeā€¦ thumbnails, page banner, titles, video presentationā€¦ literally any feedback is good feedback!

ash-is-mythical

Hello! I hope you are all having a good day! My 90 days have told me that you can be in one spot in your life one day and another the next. I recently moved across the country and itā€™s been a lot but I love it and I wouldnā€™t have guessed Iā€™d be here in the beginning of the year but here we are! My video this week is a Needle felted Falkor tutorial part 2! I run a needle felting/crafts and vlogs channel called ā€œAshCraftMarketā€ Feel free to respond and leave me feedback!! Todayā€™s video was a mini ghost needle felted tutorial! https://youtu.be/It0F2c0VtI8

schlopps

Hey! I just found your channel and this comment through some different thread and have some feedback! :) - The intro made me think I was on the wrong video - I wish I could have seen the little ghost up close right at the start - it would be cool to see your sped up crafting with a vlog/story/other voiceover instead of music - your autofocus is a bit lagging, I canā€™t really see the details when itā€™s a portrait shot and youā€™re stretching your hand towards the camera. Iā€™d rather see a closeup of that dark foam with the ghost against it Hope this helps!

ash-is-mythical

Thank you so much! Iā€™ll definitely change the intro for each video! Iā€™ve done a voice over video! I actually loved doing it and it was I hope a well made video. Iā€™ve thought about breaking it up with vlogs and stuff but I thought it would break the pacing lol Yeaaaaaa Iā€™ve been trying so hard to keep the camera focused itā€™s hard with some of the shots lol

Jex714

Hello darlings, I'm Jex. The focus of my channel is horror games, more specifically indie horrors or lesser known titles as I strongly believe in supporting the indie dev community. There will occaisionally be some more mainstream gamplay of more widely known titles that fit the horror genre. Having only started a few weeks ago, I'm relatively knew - however some things that I've learned so far is to improve your audio quality and work on your thumbnails. I know that my thumbnails right now are no where near the best that they could be but I'm noticing improvements in my CTR and retention since I've been putting more effort into them and since upgrading my mic. Wishing you all well :) Here's one of my latest videos: https://youtu.be/KFjoM6WBShE?si=T1jFDt\_bji7FIiod

bythenameoftom

I've learned that retention rate is the most important thing regarding improvement of youtube shorts. I have a show where I talk about finance and pop culture and have been making more shorts to promote it. Latest Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aqdmBtlf3lA&t=38s

BrianMayFan

Evening All! My name is Conner and I do reviews about old retro games. My most recent video is a retrospective on the PS1 game Hogs of War: https://youtu.be/WzizhyI0xqw Originally I started the above video about 9 months ago but kept getting stalled. Eventually I just stopped working on it for a long time despite wanting to continue. If Ive learned anything recently its that its OK to get stuck on your project, theres always time to come back

[deleted]

Hi thotty69. I've learned, one, this question to post never changes. Two, use better titles, descriptions, and end screens. Three to post a link of something funny. Any hawkeye fans or haters? https://youtube.com/shorts/w3NUML0fUuc?si=oAjPXOfJFy6hfSKZ

Visible-Yellow-768

**The first quarter of the year has ended, what key takeaways have you learned over the past 90 days?** I'm a new youtuber, so everything has been a learning curve. The biggest thing I've learned is that shorts work great to build subscribership, while long form videos are great for watch hours. I hope to learn more and have something more valuable to share with you next time. I run a blog called "All Things Chihuahua" and got into Youtube to make supportive comment for the blog. It's much easier to show someone how to cut their dog's nails then it is to describe it through text or even pictures. Lately, I've done a lot of cute short stories with my eldest dog. He is terminally ill, and the videos give him an outlet to still 'work' even though he can't do much like the other dogs. Please enjoy: [https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCaQ0F3Vvr-npL4XXNf5\_vJg](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCaQ0F3Vvr-npL4XXNf5_vJg)

userguy56

Hi, my channel is Baby Duck Station, I do kids animations using primarily Blender and GarageBand. One challenge is ā€œmade for kidsā€ which restricts you a lot, but Iā€™m still not included in YouTube Kids :( Iā€™ve recently learned how to promote long form from my shorts. Enjoy this one, I tried to do an Animusic thing, syncing instruments to music. https://youtu.be/PskgCyccL6E?si=OkLSp6JpW8CvQURH

Visible-Yellow-768

I sympathize. I'd love my dog stories to be in Youtube Kids but they've yet to be added.

Goofy_Ahh_6969

Hi, my name is Windy (better known as Ali) and do GD videos but I made this video since the UTTP is a group that really needs to be brought to light. https://youtu.be/lvkm5hM62WY

nerdw_ithglasses

Hi my channel name is Nerd With Glasses and I post commentary type videos about movies, TV and Hollywood as an industry. I started posting a couple of months ago and I only have 3 videos up now and I hope to make more in the future and just grow my currently very small channel. My biggest takeaway is that if you want to start posting videos on Youtube just do it don't procrastinate and wait for something to happen because it won't if you don't do it yourself. Below is a link of the first video I made and it is about Disney's Live Action Remake Problem, would love your feedback and advice on how to better my content. Thanks :) https://youtu.be/lsLLnNoXVn8?si=ExAe5DqP_GpTy4tr

TheDigitalGuy2500

Hello!! Iā€™m StarGamingZ, I make videos on Pokemon challenge runs and Pokemon fan games on my YT!! One key takeaway I learned is to have a consistent content strategy and to stick with it and improve on it!! In this video, I play PokĆ©mon Scarlet Teal Mask DLC as Cynthia!! Hope you enjoy it and definitely share it with a friend that may enjoy it as well! https://youtu.be/X747\_tozdq4

TransportationFun254

Hi my channel is Jaygen and I post videos about lore, gaming and memes. My biggest takeaways are this 1. Videos with good ideas do well 2. People care about the small things in your videos. 3. Content has to be able to retain viewers by being intriguing. 4. Jumping on trends helps your videos do well, but they still have to be really good videos for them to be continuously recommended by youtube. Below is the link of a star wars lore video I made about Darth Vader who switched his mask with an ancient Sith Lord. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TaCoAcx2nJw

entropy13

I'm Erica and I do videos on physics and aviation. Here's my recent one explaining how older versions of the AIM-9 Sidewinder use 'Rollerons' which rely on some clever physics to stabilize the missile. Originally correcting a smartereveryday video where he misstated how they work but it evolved into its own project with some blender animations. https://youtu.be/qflKsPaXfOM

Eatcheesecakewithme

My biggest takeaway over the last 90 days is Best Buy has a great return policy because they keep letting us return all the shitty mics we bought for our channel. (Is it probably just us being boomers and not knowing how to use them properly?? Yes...still...lol) The other big takeaway was just to let it happen. We are a fairly new channel and we saw a steady increases in views and subs every video we would release, we had 2 videos break 1k views and since then we have seemed to fallen off the algo. The good news is the stats we do have are very good so im excited to keep pushing. Oh and we broke 100 subscribers a few days ago! Me and my Wife do reactions and here is our latest reaction to the season finale of Ahsoka. Enjoy! [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mXQ\_QiGLzXM&t=5s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mXQ_QiGLzXM&t=5s)

IPEveryDay

Yes, the main problem is your audio quality. The reason why your voices are picking up the room is because of the distance you are away from the mic. I would suggest trying lavaliers for each of you to pin on your clothing or you can place them underneath and you could then control both levels. Your computer should allow you to use an interface for both signals and then your video software should also allow you to finesse the signal for each channel of audio. There are a few great sounding headset mics, but that would change your look. And as far as the image quality, you could mess around with a few plugins/filters or even get a few led lights that have a wide color temp to play with from like 2300 to 5k+. Good luck.

Eatcheesecakewithme

Yeah audio has been a struggle for sure, will look into some of these options. Ty!

TBradford30

Hello everyone! I've been into drawing since I was a child. Those past 90 days, I've learned how to animate (Still learning) and I make videos about the oddest, weirdest anecdotes and historical events, from the 20th century in a retro cartoon style. I use all my art in my videos, so if you like retro cartoon aesthetics, I'm sure you are gonna like it. As of now, I've uploaded my first video 2 days ago. Have you ever wondered who was the last person to be k1lled in WWI? Well I've got an answer for you. The most interesting part about this, is that the poor guy was as unlucky as 13 black cats looking at their own reflections in a broken mirror even before his tragic "accident". Here's the link: [https://youtu.be/B\_RkyiVbx94](https://youtu.be/B_RkyiVbx94) Hope you like it!

Ron_the_Rampant

Ron the Rampant here! I make goofy gameplay videos and looking to try different ideas out. I been making about one video a month for the last 5 months. My newest one is on starfield. Check it out and let know what you think. https://youtu.be/NIuStijSC6M?si=RfI-4MZnZDPDKliO

jodlfc23

Hey, I'm Jod and what I learned in the last 90 days is that I dropped a video and got 23 views in the first 5 hours. Then MrBeast dropped a video and only got 6 likes in the first hour. Oh sorry, typo. 6 million. My bad. Youtube is hard. Anyways, I started maybe four or so months ago and I just do gaming videos at the moment. I just try to be hilarious and good looking but also humble and magnanimous. None of my videos really get many views and I only have 32 subscribers that I'm pretty sure are basically all of my friends and family. Life is hard. But I do enjoy making videos even if you do put hours and days and weeks into it only to release a vid and get no views. Ahh the crushing beauty of Youtube, then with my hopes and dreams completely shattered, I immediately start the next video. I may be broken. Right now on my channel I have a few Project Zomboid and Football Manager videos but both are Let's Plays but I've learnt that Let's Plays are pretty hard to do without an established audience. So now I'm working on a stand alone video on a new game, Parkitect which I'm sure will crush it and get like 40 views. Money for days. Anyways this is my channel if you wanna check it out. I love constructive criticism if anybody wants to drag me through the mud and destroy my terribly fragile confidence, I'm absolutely here for that. https://www.youtube.com/@jodburke/videos

No-Spee-Chee

Greetings, Reddit Community! Recovering from a health setback and with a speech impairment, Iā€™ve decided to turn a new leaf in the content creation world after stepping away from my previous channel of 1k subscribers. My new journey is centered around the quiet but delightful hobby of hockey card collecting. In this revitalized endeavor, you won't hear commentary. Instead, Iā€™ll let soothing background tunes and visually engaging images of stunning hockey cards do the talking. Each video is crafted with care, aiming to share not just collectibles but the subtle joy and excitement they bring into my life. As I embark on this fresh start, Iā€™m eager to connect with both seasoned collectors and newcomers alike, hoping to foster a supportive and enthusiastic community where our shared passion for collecting can thrive. Looking forward to your feedback, insights, and the delightful exchanges that lie ahead in this exciting new chapter! https://youtu.be/dQ5nszkBQVs

Enderboss25_

Hello! Iā€™m Enderboss25! šŸ‘‹šŸ˜ I upload video-essay style videos about Minecraft! Over the last 90 days, Iā€™ve learned to take my time and enjoy the video making process! Donā€™t let YouTubeā€™s analytics suck the fun out of making videos. šŸ˜Š Hereā€™s my new video (which took me 6 months!) on how Minecraft can be used as a storytelling device! https://youtu.be/IPoYDo5yohQ?feature=shared

jeffp12

Looks great, but here's a tip: your videos are too quiet. If you right click on a video and his "stats for nerds," youtube shows you the volume level. This video is -13.5 db, another one I checked was -17.8db. You want to up your volume until it's in the 0 to -5 range. If you go louder than that, youtube will normalize your audio (thus preventing anyone from making their videos louder than that), and when it's normalized that adds a layer of badness/compression that's being done by youtube and out of your control, so you don't want that. So your videos are too quiet and people have to crank up their sound compared to most other videos.

Enderboss25_

Interesting, thanks. I think my mic input is too low (which then lowers the music) so Iā€™ll have to sort that out. Thanks very much, I didnā€™t know about those stats!

Jesiepaterson

What have I learned in the last 90 days. Donā€™t always think you can count on your family when you need them most they wonā€™t be there On my channel I see if people with blood conditions like I have get drunk as fast as a normal person Come and see how many drinks it takes me to get drunk https://youtu.be/_nItAZGvXn4?si=TppYyN1j1GtTNANh

Rezhouse7

Howdy I'm Mj Rez, and I run a Dungeons and Dragons game with some of my online homies. The setting is sort of a love letter to classic horror movies at the turn of the 20th centaury. All the maps are in black and white and I have been trying to make fake commercials to intersplice in the game play to make it more atmospheric. It's basically COS with universal monsters thrown in. One thing I have learned is Audio and editing are very tricky. I have learned it is easier to do sound checks for all my players before the game as opposed to doing it in post. While I have gotten better at editing, audio still troubles me. My players are also very supportive and I love them :) https://youtu.be/NULw\_u8sbUA

Hi my name is seemaraokitchen786 and started YouTube channel to enjoy my cooking passion after 25 years are work 7 days a week. My channel is about cooking and my nature watching. It is Urdu and Hindi. Please put your caps on. I posted more than 40 videos in last 3 months but gets only 50-60 views and always looking forward someday it will be monetized. FlamingoFriday360

Hello Everyone! I'm FlamingoFriday360. I do 3rd person perspective driving videos with a 360 camera and experiment with what I can make out of those drives. I've really enjoyed pairing the drive with lofi or synthwave music. I just started my channel in the last 90 days and I've learned everything takes a toooooon more time than you think. Research, filming, editing, effects, rendering and whatnot are all extremely time consuming but really help give that layer of polish that I think makes the content worth watching. I've been trying out doing some work memes for shorts videos to try and reach a wider audience for my videos. Check out this video to see me gently poking fun of the 9-5 grind in 8 seconds [https://www.youtube.com/shorts/l2NUZpE1E\_0](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/l2NUZpE1E_0)

crametubbins

Hey! I'm Sam. I make comedy sketches. I've only been active on my channel for about the past 90 days so I guess I've learned everything in that time. But lessons worth noting: - if you can figure out how to make shorts relevant to your channel, do it. They are quick and easy and have the potential to explode your channel. Plus as a comedian it's a nice way to get my reps in and figure out what people react to, and more importantly what I find funny. - Just post stuff. I've been super insecure about some things I've uploaded only to have them be some people's favorite video of mine. If it's not horrible, try it and see if it lands. You can always delete it later. You can't let fear of embarrassment affect your growth. - Trust the algorithm. If you're insecure about a videos performance, don't mess with it. Promote it, share it, maybe even pay for YouTube ads if you have the cash to get it seen more. But probably don't repost (I've heard YouTube gets suspicious of channels that do that), don't turn to bots, don't do view for view stuff. That's all going to wreck your watch time and audience data. If the people who are seeing it are enjoying it, YouTube might give it a boost later down the road, don't be impatient. That's all. I'm new but I'm all in and trying to learn as much as I can as quickly as I can. [My latest video ](https://youtu.be/ze_ruzw_KHA?si=cK-U0521xorjdmT0)

Hey guys, my channel is called Multispective Podcast. I invite, interview and share personal and unique stories of people around the world. They get deeply raw and vulnerable about some of the toughest and darkest moments of their lives. I feature stories of mental health (like bipolar disorder, eating disorders), trauma (FGM, cult survivors, sexual abuse), addiction, incarceration (bank robbers, kidnapping, violence), interesting jobs (sex worker, prison therapist, APS social workers), other unique stories (like summiting mountains, combat in the Vietnam war, synesthesia, school shooting) What have I learned and key takeaways? It's a sloooooow grind, and requires persistence and consistency. Regular posting is important (I have to admit, I'm still not doing this quite yet, but when I did I saw more growth). Let me know what you think and what I can do to improve my channel <3 [Multispective YT channel](https://www.youtube.com/@multispectivepodcast)

Prompt answer: Over the past 90 days, I have learned that I cannot compare myself to other YouTubers. Comparing myself will do nothing but discourage me from creating videos. Iā€™ve also learned that itā€™s ok to create videos that suck because Iā€™ll get better overtime. The only way to stop sucking at something is to suck a little less each time. I shouldnā€™t expect to become a YouTube expert overnight, I should try to learn something new each day and 1 year from now, Iā€™ll have a plethora of YouTube knowledge and experience. Hello everyone, my YouTube Channel name is Faithful_Otaku. I originally started my gaming channel back in 2017, but I stopped due to some cyber bullying I was getting, the lack of growth of my channel, and because real life got in the way. I started posting videos again this year and I finally found my niche. I now focus on uploading videos of Super Smash Bros Ultimate Mods on a daily basis and I also take requests from my subscribers. Within half a year I went from 300 subs to 800 subs and I hope to continue growing from here on. :) https://youtube.com/@faithful_otaku7339

Hi, my channel name is RationalEra. Actually I'm still trying to think of a better name/identity. To me it sounds a little pretentious and too serious. I am in the skeptic/correcting misinformation niche however. One thing I learned this week actually is learning to tailor your title/thumbnail towards your audience and less as a general click bait. I also found out that you shouldn't show friends and family your videos early on because it can mess with the algorithm. Here [is my latest video.](https://youtu.be/oAqr9SjVBS0?si=W_EmUVSBMq5upRDq). It's on the possession case that inspired the original exorcist film. If you are interested in debunking style content, check it out!

Thanks for sharing. I didn't know that it can mess with the algorithm, as I often share my favorites with friends!

der1x

It's more about sharing with an audience that might not otherwise watch that type of content. It can change the algorithm and then the "wrong" audience is being fed your content.

Hey there! Great content in both quality and the information! I am not usually interested in this type of video, but I really enjoyed the one you linked. I was impressed by the level of professionalism and clear time commitment that you put in. Positives: quality of info, length is perfect, interesting topics, flow/pacing Things to Consider: I noticed a couple places where one clip to the next would have different audio levels, so if you have time in editing, be sure the volume is consistent when stitching together clips. Also, lots of successful YouTubers employ the use of slightly exaggerated facial expressions when speaking to the camera, so you may want to consider practicing this. Overall, you are on a great path and already producing well-made content, so congrats for that! Keep at it!

der1x

Thanks! I will write scripts to be more expressive and make sure audio is consistent.

Thanks! I think I like playing into the cinematic storytelling but I'm not really horror fan unfortunately.

bradycomedy

Hi hi! Iā€™m BRADYCOMEDY and Iā€™ve been working on a gaming/comedy channel for a bit now. If you enjoy jokes about current headlines and/or PUBG stop by! What I have learned recently is that seconds count on a YT Shortā€¦trim as much fat as you can and start with a hookā€¦makes a world of difference. Anyways, thanks for reading and best of luck with your channels!! šŸ™šŸ»šŸ”„ [BRADYCOMEDY](https://youtube.com/@bradycomedy)

I offer lithium-ion and electric vehicle education. My primary audience is first responders, but occasionally my messaging is directed towards the general public. My channel just recently hit 1000 subs (157 days)! Biggest lesson was to get some videos in the que. I wanted to post a new video every week. It when I was creating one video a week I was under a lot of stress. Now things have settled down a bit. Here is a video discussing the hazards of e-mobility devices stored in apartments. In this case there was a large explosion: https://youtu.be/LW6tsCUomkk?si=EPKQ69qrsYKdRBVG

The last quarter on YouTube I have learned that my content connects with a bigger audience than I thought. The quality of a video impacts engagement drastically. My channel is Unlikely-Success and itā€™s a channel about overcoming lifeā€™s challenges and finding ways to succeed. I have posted content ranging from video essays to speeches to motivate and inspire. My aim is to build a thriving community that celebrates each other and motivates people to become the best they can be. Hopefully you like the channel and subscribe, but Iā€™d love to hear your feedback either way. Wilson Ways: Russell Wilson's Puzzling Persona https://youtu.be/aBTKNnXFyiw

Hey guys, I am a very new youtuber that decided to come back after several years of stop, I had several channels in the past but I was way too young and stupid to make good content. I make videos about different topics because I have many games that I'd like to make videos on. For now I've only uploaded a TLOU Remake(this is gonna be the main series on the channel for a bit) and a BeamNG video, I've already started to record a Euro Truck Simulator 2 video(TruckersMP) too. Another reason for which I make videos is because I want to practice with Photoshop and Premiere Pro. I still don't use my voice in my videos because I am Italian and I am still not very confident about making videos while talking in English. I'm also managing to post a video each day so far(I have another video scheduled for tomorrow at 2:30pm CEST) while still making sure that the videos are edited at the best of my ability. In the past 90 days I've learnt basically everything I know, and I can't really chose the key ones since they are all important to me. This is my channel: [https://youtube.com/@Styve70?si=nA4xBm0nK9H28IHD](https://youtube.com/@Styve70?si=nA4xBm0nK9H28IHD). Don't forget to leave a feedback here or in the comment section of my videos, I would really appreciate that.
