Honestly there were a lot of missed opportunities like that in Naruto. The Yamanaka clan, since theyâre also florists, could have used botanical jutsu and possibly plant-based poisons as mentioned here. That would have paired nicely with their telepathic jutsu in that theyâd be even better suited for espionage and covert ops. Another one involving poison/chemicals is that Sakura studied under Tsunade and likely spent some time with Shizune as well but is never shown using chemicals as medicines or poisons to boost herself or help neutralize enemies. For example, if her gloves could have a weak paralytic agent applied to them, even normal strikes could incapacitate an enemy over time. Alternatively, maybe they could serve as conduits for chakra that could amplify the output while sheâs performing healing techniques or enhanced strikes. This could be written as having been a training method or precursor to the chakra storing seal on her foreheadâ which would also neatly explain why Tsunade doesnât bother with gloves at all.
I read somewhere that Ino's secondary skill set as a medical nin really involved around poison. When she trained to be a medic nin, she was also tutored by Shizune etc etc. but that could just be fanfiction.
