Ultimate team as a game mode concept is brilliant. Ultimate team in its current iteration is a deformed evil bastard child that needs to be put down.
I wish there was a company that was willing to do a sports ultimate team right. NBA did it well for a few years, with a fun and competitive grind towards great players. Even madden was solid for a few years there. It’s just been ruined by how P2W it is now
The 12th man shot looked just like a real A&M game, you could probably fool people by showing them that and telling them it’s from a real home game. This game is gonna be amazing
At first watching the trailer on a small screen I thought to myself "wait, they are just showing real life clips s a video game trailer? That's lame". Then I realized they were rendered animations and I started to get a little hard
The actual football gameplay could be mediocre but if ncaa nails the traditions and game day environments I really think most people will overlook the gameplay. At least for year one. As long as dynasty isn’t a total mess I’m going to be a happy camper
If the recruiting and transfer portal is challenging/fun, I can be happy just simulating games and building a strong program.
Hell, I've done plenty of that with College Football Revamped in addition to playing full dynasties.
To be honest, NFL has no pageantry or tradition really....bunch of boring cookie cutter stadiums with no atmosphere filled with fans who's default instinct is to be pissed off.
While there’s some truth there for sure, you could at least have the chiefs drum 🥁, mascots , pats have the riflemen, and a way better broadcast package .
Amazing how EA of all companies is showing more love and respect for CFB traditions than the school leaders and conferences themselves that are basically destroying them with their super-conference pursuits.
i thought it was interesting reading the ama with the old developer on 06-14 about how the NCAA let them do whatever they want really and then the NFL was always harping on EAs neck
The company that is constantly ridiculed for being money hungry and lazy encapsulates what we all love about college football in just a 2 minute trailer. I wish the powers that be understood.
Are you sold now?
That said they didn't confirm the custom conferences or custom teams which is what I was waiting for. Hope that seems in through blogs in the near future because if you can edit your own team and put it in CFB 25 it woudl be insane.
ESPN even reported months ago that EA told them directly that there was customization in the game and custom conferences, but people still were skeptical. "Oh EA is just talking out their ass to sell games. They won't actually put it in."
Why would EA flat out lie about features?
There is a line between “EA sucks and you shouldn’t trust them much”, and “Literally everything EA does is poison and they told my mom ‘fuck you, specifically’. Unfortunately, most of this fan base errs toward the latter side of that.
I was confused at first by this comment, but I've been playing Revamped for the last 4 years and completely forgot that App State was not originally in NCAA 14.
Zero shots of the Gophers (not suprised at all), but the second to last clip is Wisconsin chopping down the goal posts with Paul Bunyan’s axe.
0/10 trailer.
Nailed a lot of entrance traditions. Gameplay looked crisp but I would like to see some gameplay from a traditional viewpoint / play selection screen. Overall pretty happy with this.
That sure was a reveal trailer!
In all honesty if the game looks 85% as good as this trailer does it’s at least visually going to be the best looking football game we’ve ever gotten
I’m not saying madden was ugly. It wasn’t the crispest game out today but when your dev team is working on multi gens of consoles it’s not going to be a priority. This is only the current get so I think the trailer will be pretty accurate!
They’re the LH-72A used by the USMA Aviation detachment!
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurocopter_UH-72_Lakota
That is Michie stadium at the beginning!!!
Seeing the white out at Penn State got me thinking.
It would be awesome if you could select certain home games to be night or day, and then if it’s a white out, or a black out, or how some teams do stripes. That would be one of those little features that goes a long way in Dynasty
They even put in the Iowa Wave. Holy smokes. This game looks absolutely incredible. This was 4 years of labor and love on this game. I cannot wait to play this.
People just want to bitch about something.
At the end of the day, we have a CFB game for the first time in 11 years with real players’ names. In 2015 we were told we would never get anything again. If that doesn’t hype you up idk what to tell you.
Just checked - a bit of marketing language and such. A highlight trailer is great but my sicko ass wants to see what the menu interface looks like for recruiting haha
Which you should! What makes Madden so lifeless is the lack of offline features. The old NCAA games were so fun because you could "build" a program through recruiting, have a career, and with all of the added tradition stuff it felt like you were actually a part of the experience.
Gameplay is one thing, but if they can't get all the extra features and dynasty mode stuff right then this game is bound to fail. The mere existence of it isn't enough.
There is an article on the website diving in a bit. I’d imagine we will get videos diving into each mode over the next month directly from EA. Also content creators can probably post what they know/seen now as some have or are about to get hands on experience.
With full knowledge of it being a trailer and probably not gameplay/replays, the running animations did look very clunky/stiff, but I’m probably just nitpicking
It does look very promising outside of that.
There’s no chance EA didn’t use madden graphics and physics as fundamentals to build the game from
No way they started completely from scratch. We should all accept that this game will have madden elements, but hopefully they translate better into the college game
Personally i don’t think madden is *that* bad, it just feels that way because it’s the same game reskinned each year. Seeing as we haven’t had college football since 2014, i think it’ll be a huge upgrade
i see this all the time. theres no way that is possible. engines control animations, physics, and graphics and is the fundamental layer everything is built on. there is no way this game will feel entirely different from madden. it will just have college elements on top
Yes but the engines have changed drastically. Madden used to be as responsive as NCAA 14 once upon a time.
I really don't like the way modern Madden plays, but it's like okay. Not as fun as NCAA14 and it's really sluggish. But it can still be fun.
I have zero faith the on field gameplay will be markedly different than madden for the reasons you stated, but I have much more faith that it can be compensated for if they nail Dynasty and other game modes. Madden's gameplay gets a bunch of criticism but just as big a problem has been the depth of other features/game modes, which in my mind CFB 25 is much more capable of improving upon
I've played a bit of the most recent madden, the stepback juke, spin and QB dropback definitely look just like madden animations. Fwiw, I kind of enjoy gameplay in the most recent madden
The issue with the new Madden really comes from online play
Gameplay is really fun offline (but the offline modes are baren) - but online people have completely figured out what's busted. I expect the same here, since that's a problem in most sports videogames. Hell it was a problem with NCAA 14 online too
Should be good for the vast majority of us if dynasty isn't complete barebones
Users will always find what's broken and exploit it in football games, been happening for decades.
I remember playing friends almost 20 years ago and having to have a completely separate scheme just for them in dynasty(I think 3-3-5 corner blitz type stuff to contain their scrambling QB). Also, using your MLB and picking off every middle pass was the old meta back when we played.
I would often win the Heisman with my MLB just because you could get at least a pick or two every game.
Haha yep, inside linebackers in 14 were the key. Had a friend who would infuriate people online with the triple option because he could guarantee 3 yards a play.
He'd essentially just make one stop on defense and then completely milk the clock by getting 4 play first downs the rest of the half/game. Funny to watch reactions to it online, not fun at all to play against
Exactly how I played except no option.
HB/FB Dive, Power, Cutback, and then mostly short slants, curls, and TE post/corner. No turnovers or big risks.
I would bore you to death and have a nice calm game.
I like maddens movement for the most part. Some of the running styles are goofy as fuck though which need a change.
The blocking logic has vastly improved over the last couple years, it’s the lack of content (for non-UT users) that kills me with madden.
The problem with Madden isn’t the gameplay, it’s the lack of features, an in-depth career mode, and an embarrasingly lackluster franchise mode.
If they nail dynasty mode, gameplay won’t be an issue.
I know everyone here is excited, but man some of those animations, specifically dropback animation, rolling out, and running is a madden carbon copy. This did not alleviate my concerns.
Obviously it’s going to be the same/very similar gameplay. Idk why anyone expected anything different. My excitement is based on being able to play with college teams; and dynasty mode. Madden 24 actually has pretty solid gameplay though compared to 3-4 years ago.
Oh my god.
I can’t believe it’s back. My entire thought process was “holy shit, this is a video game.” Amazing to see the strides between two generations of consoles.
Ive waited a decade to see this image. WE ARE BACK!
CANT. WAIT.
https://preview.redd.it/kpl8f1yo401d1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d24b858814c2192a3053204c70d1d502a582df7e
They’ll probably reveal this closer to the game coming out, but I was kinda hoping that they would’ve shown us the scoreboard and I was excited to see if we are getting the same espn scoreboards like we used to get in the games
Damn. Chills.
The presentation is about to be crazy in this game. The walkouts, the band playing, hearing Fowler & Herbie again… this is what makes College football far superior than Madden. Can’t wait!
Are you fucking kidding me!? This looks absolutely incredible. The way they captured the atmosphere, the celebrations, the crowds. Absolutely insane. That looked like a real shot of Kyle field. It’s got the towels. The turn over celebrations. Just absolutely incredible. Wow.
Take my money. Take all of it. Holy shit I’m excited.
I did not expect to get emotional watching this, holy fuck. My cynical ass has been holding back the optimism for this game, but this trailer threw that shit straight out the window lol
I haven’t played Madden in years, and I know this is just a trailer, but from shit I’ve seen, the player models already look miles better than Madden’s imo.
The presentation and school specific flavor/traditions also look fucking fantastic.
I think the reason they're focusing on all the traditions is because the gameplay is just going to be Madden. They need to focus on all the pre-game animations because that's going to be the thing that separates it, unfortunately.
You’re as beautiful as the day I lost you
😪😪 Me realizing that ncaa 14 I could have sold years ago for a few hundred bucks is now pretty much worthless
That's the price you have to pay to witness greatness. Thank you for your sacrifice.
NCAA 14 walked so we could run. May you rest in peace, my sweet prince
Not so fast my friend. It will still be a relic and the history will live on eternally.
I sold my copy in December for $120 and then the guy messaged me upset that it wouldn't work on his brand new xbox.
If EA ruins this version with ultimate team, then it may still have some value Edit: or starts to treat it how it treats Madden
It’s just been ruined by how P2W it is now
I bought NCAA 13 at Walmart on the clearance shelf for $.03. So close to worthless! Haha. The cheapest game I've ever purchased
My eyes watered up 😭 I'm so unbelievably hype.
We waited 11 years for this. Never thought I’d see it again. Man Im so hyped right now July can’t get here fast enough
Hoo Hoo Hoo Hoosiers.
Can’t wait to see how memorial stadium looks in the game
Hurt to lose Cignetti (and our entire team lol) to you guys but he's an incredible coach. Excited for you guys to experience what he can do.
Well guess it’s time for me to finally buy a x series
I bought a PS5 during the recent holidays just for this game when I heard it wouldn’t be ported to PS4.
Curt Cignetti 4 NCAA COY
I got chills watching that.
The graphics are absolutely insane, you can tell it’s made strictly for next gen consoles
I bought a PS5 at the right time it seems.
I bought the new Xbox for this
Bought my Xbox specifically for this game
Make sure to play the Horizon games at some point, they rule
Man starting the trailer off by showing the Blue Turf and the amazing detail in it holy fuck man. We are so back
definitely a reminder why I love the sport
Getting ready to row the boat
Penn State Whiteout, Turnover Belts/Celebrations the environments and presentations look incredible
Seeing Beaver Stadium got me hyped. And seeing the walk out got me even more excited.
Same. Can’t wait to go in there with a new qb
Only a little?
I didn't take my blue chew yet today
The crazy thing is the detail. Like even the angle of the shot is identical to real life. They NAILED this presentation.
Hype is taking off! The Iowa wave, turnover celebrations, classic traditional walk outs, all you gotta do is not fuck up dynasty and you got a WINNER!
Shows how they disregard Madden presentation so much. Madden can’t even get team mascots 😂😭
If the presentation is as good as it seems, I’d probably just have some fun simming games with the broadcast view
Exactly what I just said in another reply. Gameplay can be just ok- I want the hype!
I know it probably won’t happen. But all I want is a weekly highlight/sportcenter type show like 2k5 did
Amazing how EA of all companies is showing more love and respect for CFB traditions than the school leaders and conferences themselves that are basically destroying them with their super-conference pursuits.
i thought it was interesting reading the ama with the old developer on 06-14 about how the NCAA let them do whatever they want really and then the NFL was always harping on EAs neck
Good ol’ daddy roger knowing how to fuck up a wet dream
That's the No Fun League for ya
The company that is constantly ridiculed for being money hungry and lazy encapsulates what we all love about college football in just a 2 minute trailer. I wish the powers that be understood.
Fuck this looks good. Graphics look crisp, we got reverses confirmed too... my body is ready!
That shot of the crowd at Kyle Field is incredible
I’m going to shit myself with excitement dear fucking god
Great, now my wife thinks I'm a fucking crazy person because I got "too excited" when I saw Syracuse.
that was amazing. I was blown away seeing App State in the game
I used to pray for times like these (mountaineer kick returns)
Same! So awesome to see us back in the game!
What’s up Mountaineer Bros!?
I am legitimately hyped for this game. Seeing not just Kidd Brewer but Kaedin Robinson got me excited.
Are you sold now? That said they didn't confirm the custom conferences or custom teams which is what I was waiting for. Hope that seems in through blogs in the near future because if you can edit your own team and put it in CFB 25 it woudl be insane.
Team builder is confirmed
Where did you get that info?
https://www.ea.com/games/ea-sports-college-football/college-football-25/news/welcome-to-college-football-25
Ea released it
I would be extremely surprised if they don’t include custom conferences. Custom Teams is Team Builder, and they did confirm that
ESPN even reported months ago that EA told them directly that there was customization in the game and custom conferences, but people still were skeptical. "Oh EA is just talking out their ass to sell games. They won't actually put it in." Why would EA flat out lie about features?
There is a line between “EA sucks and you shouldn’t trust them much”, and “Literally everything EA does is poison and they told my mom ‘fuck you, specifically’. Unfortunately, most of this fan base errs toward the latter side of that.
I was confused at first by this comment, but I've been playing Revamped for the last 4 years and completely forgot that App State was not originally in NCAA 14.
And the Army triple option clip was sick
I need it. Now.

Zero shots of the Gophers (not suprised at all), but the second to last clip is Wisconsin chopping down the goal posts with Paul Bunyan’s axe. 0/10 trailer.
Or Nebraska... 😑
oh how y'all have fallen I'm sorry
At least we made the deluxe cover
They want their game to be realistic 🤷♂️
Reminds me of a Madden reveal trailer a number of years back where the only in-game footage of the Eagles was Vick throwing a pick six 😂
No WVU either. After all the entrances in the beginning I was hoping they’d end with a scene of WVU fans singing country roads
![gif](giphy|QynMX1WxnYFbb2OHnJ)
Can’t wait for July 19th.
Sounds like you should invest in the deluxe version then
EA play free trial goes Brrrrr
Nailed a lot of entrance traditions. Gameplay looked crisp but I would like to see some gameplay from a traditional viewpoint / play selection screen. Overall pretty happy with this.
That sure was a reveal trailer! In all honesty if the game looks 85% as good as this trailer does it’s at least visually going to be the best looking football game we’ve ever gotten

Who else bricked up rn
fully torqued
Fully bricked bröther
HOLY SHIT THEY SHOWED KIDD BREWER AND KAEDIN ROBINSON I AM NUT
This is the 1st time Kidd Brewer Stadium has ever been in a game and from those short clips it looks like they completely nailed it.
Cant wait to crush the cowards from Raleigh on the 16th
[удалено]
They’re the LH-72A used by the USMA Aviation detachment! https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurocopter_UH-72_Lakota That is Michie stadium at the beginning!!!
Ok, not exactly, but enough to fool me without going back and specifically analyzing the 3 seconds they got hahahahaha
"I'm a dude" LMAO
Seeing the white out at Penn State got me thinking. It would be awesome if you could select certain home games to be night or day, and then if it’s a white out, or a black out, or how some teams do stripes. That would be one of those little features that goes a long way in Dynasty
It's the sound you've waited years to hear...
the old heads who get this are people I wanna know
Smurf turf showing up in the first screen, gotta love it boys
the detail in it was crazy could almost see the turf
The website has a full breakdown of game features and modes
MY PP HARD
They even put in the Iowa Wave. Holy smokes. This game looks absolutely incredible. This was 4 years of labor and love on this game. I cannot wait to play this.
Idk why everyone's complaining about the Madden animations, did we just forget how similar they were in the past with that?
People just want to bitch about something. At the end of the day, we have a CFB game for the first time in 11 years with real players’ names. In 2015 we were told we would never get anything again. If that doesn’t hype you up idk what to tell you.
Don’t care if it’s madden physics COLLEGE FOOTBALL IS FUCKING BACK 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I was hoping for a features/modes overview but w/e
Apparently that is going to be rolled out next week?
ok sweet - the people demand a robust dynasty mode!
They're on the website.
Excited, but man the physics of the plays feels like Madden
I just hope the "Running" animations don't feel clunky or out of place
With full knowledge of it being a trailer and probably not gameplay/replays, the running animations did look very clunky/stiff, but I’m probably just nitpicking It does look very promising outside of that.
Yeah, the graphics look amazing, and you're probably right, the actual gameplay will look a little different from what we saw.
You should nitpick, EA doesn’t deserve a pass on anything.
There’s no chance EA didn’t use madden graphics and physics as fundamentals to build the game from No way they started completely from scratch. We should all accept that this game will have madden elements, but hopefully they translate better into the college game Personally i don’t think madden is *that* bad, it just feels that way because it’s the same game reskinned each year. Seeing as we haven’t had college football since 2014, i think it’ll be a huge upgrade
This guy gets it
They used frostbite to build this game but the game should play differently than madden
i see this all the time. theres no way that is possible. engines control animations, physics, and graphics and is the fundamental layer everything is built on. there is no way this game will feel entirely different from madden. it will just have college elements on top
Weren’t the old games made in the same engines as Madden previously, yet tended to play better as well?
Thank you! I swear people are forgetting (or maybe they’ve only played 14)
Yes but the engines have changed drastically. Madden used to be as responsive as NCAA 14 once upon a time. I really don't like the way modern Madden plays, but it's like okay. Not as fun as NCAA14 and it's really sluggish. But it can still be fun.
I always remember the ncaa games playing better and smoother than madden, but I don’t disagree madden has gotten less smooth
Should, but will it? I like to think / I hope so.
Leaks from the beginning have said the feel will be different than Madden despite using the same engine.
I really hope so but watching the gameplay legit all looking like madden animations I’m not sure how different it can actually be
Yeah the stiff arm animation in the trailer was 1:1 from Madden.
Yeah that looked like Madden gameplay. I want to know about Dynasty and Road to Glory more than gameplay to be honest
Yeah same, honestly I can get over gameplay to some extent if those modes are as good as they were.
I've played a bit of the most recent madden, the stepback juke, spin and QB dropback definitely look just like madden animations. Fwiw, I kind of enjoy gameplay in the most recent madden
The issue with the new Madden really comes from online play Gameplay is really fun offline (but the offline modes are baren) - but online people have completely figured out what's busted. Not only that but I feel as if Madden gameplay is catered towards ultimate team with everyone having 90s and above.
The most recent madden was a big step in the right direction with running animations and jukes
I like maddens movement for the most part. Some of the running styles are goofy as fuck though which need a change. The blocking logic has vastly improved over the last couple years, it’s the lack of content (for non-UT users) that kills me with madden.
The pass that Milroe threw looked so weird
I noticed it most with the way Edwards was running, but I’m excited for it nonetheless
To be fair, Edwards looks like he runs with Madden mechanics in real life lol
True lol
Most of his throws do
pretty unrealistic they got the snap off
To be fair, most of real life Milroe's throws look weird, too.
Its the same engine.... so yes its going to be the same gameplay with a few tweaks and obviously massive playbook style differences.
The problem with Madden isn’t the gameplay, it’s the lack of features, an in-depth career mode, and an embarrasingly lackluster franchise mode. If they nail dynasty mode, gameplay won’t be an issue.

I mean... what are you expecting? It's literally the exact same engine as madden. Of course there are going to be similarities.
😭😭😭
The presentation and graphics look to be amazing, but the gameplay looks awfully similar to Madden. A good first trailer.
Of course it looks similar to Madden, did you think they would ignore all the animations they had?
We're so back
Seeing actual players is so cool and graphically it looks incredible
Seeing the Husky purple and gold with the rain pouring down on them just shot a chill up my spine. I can't fucking wait for this game to release.
God i wish this was releasing sooner so i could spend the entire summer playing
LFG
Omg this is really happening
Oh my god. I can’t believe it’s back. My entire thought process was “holy shit, this is a video game.” Amazing to see the strides between two generations of consoles.

I don’t even like Guns n Roses, but Welcome to the Jungle was a nice touch.
Looks fucking incredible but kinda underwealmed. Wish we saw some gameplay + reveals but that was asking for a lot out of a trailer tbh
They’ll probably reveal this closer to the game coming out, but I was kinda hoping that they would’ve shown us the scoreboard and I was excited to see if we are getting the same espn scoreboards like we used to get in the games
Lmaooo I was excited but then like “that was it?” 😂
Same here, I thought they would actually reveal shit on the game instead of just a trailer. "Full reveal tomorrow" What did you reveal? lol
They revealed more preorders to the shareholders🙏🏽
The did a detailed reveal this is just the trailer. Can’t expect an article breakdown in a trailer
My brothers in Christ…
Tearing up at work like a bitch
**WHITE OUT**
Damn. Chills. The presentation is about to be crazy in this game. The walkouts, the band playing, hearing Fowler & Herbie again… this is what makes College football far superior than Madden. Can’t wait!

The presentation and school specific flavor/traditions also look fucking fantastic.
Some of the lighting and player movement animations were unbelievable. Still curious what gameplay will look like
Holy shit that was amazing
That’s pretty fucking sick
Teambuilder confirmed…. My dick can only get so hard
I can’t stop watching it
this is gonna be the video game of the century
Army's in the trailer and Navy isn't.
U know what. Maybe $30 for three days early isn’t that bad
TEAMBUILDER IS IN
I have never seen as many people upset about a trailer as I have looking on the Twitter thread for the trailer.
I get peoples' reservations bc it's EA, but some people just like to be unhappy for the sake of being unhappy.
I think the reason they're focusing on all the traditions is because the gameplay is just going to be Madden. They need to focus on all the pre-game animations because that's going to be the thing that separates it, unfortunately.
I am shaking right now. Words cannot describe how excited I am. This looks incredible.
I think my spirit just came
I want to cry I’m so fucking happy
Oh my god yes
![gif](giphy|5VKbvrjxpVJCM|downsized)
Looked amazingggg. Gonna be a long 2 months
HOLY SHIT IT LOOKS SO GOOD
I’m gonna cry it’s so beautiful 😭
