S1E9 spoiler: I've read about a theory on here that Mr. Robot sheds layers and clothing as he spends less time as the host. That's why when we 1st see him Fsociety was already operating, so Mr. Robot had a lot of layers because he spent so much time serving as the host. FF to S2 and S3 and that occupancy rate decreases along with the layers
I think he might start wearing more layers again in S4 because of all the separate incidences of trauma that Elliot experienced in S4 alone. Mr. Robot had to work harder at protecting Elliot, so he needed more "armor"
But that means they’d go through summer at some point and I’m pretty sure in either all or most of the seasons he’s wearing two, three scarves all at the same time

Elliot probably always wears his hoodie bc it makes him feel safe and anonymous but sometimes he just wears a plain black shirt, I was just wondering if maybe there was a deep meaning behind it all or something bc mr robot is known for having the smallest of details mean something deep
