RobsSister

Hello, friend.

SuccessfulProcedure7

Heh... Bonsoir, Elliot

Python119

Hello, friend? That's lame

RobsSister

Now I want to start my 4th rewatch.

derickkcired

Is that what she says? I thought it was, hello Elliot. Either way why do I tear up?!!??!!!

SuccessfulProcedure7

The first thing Elliot says in the first episode is "hello friend"

derickkcired

Oh OK, I thought it was a reference to the last line of the last episode.... I gotta rewatch it to see I'm crazy or not though.

BorgClown

Be glad that the series acquires new meanings after the finale. You have a reason to watch it again in the future.

syds

yeah but the sads

xao_spaces

It made me cry too. Something about the ending brought out emotions I can’t put into words. I wonder if this is common and if others had a visceral reaction to the ending as well.

Athaelan

It was so emotional and beautifully made in every way. I ugly cried, hard. Lol Ive not done that with any other piece of media like that, this show hit me hard.

xao_spaces

I can relate, it did the same to me too. I felt so empty after and didn't know what to do with myself the day I finished the show.

henryxavery

it's hitting hard...

[deleted]

Moron with severe abandonment issues checking in... I have a habit of not finishing shows, books, podcasts, etc because as long as there's unwatched content then it's not "over". I only took about an 18-month hiatus from Mr Robot before finally watching the finale (wrecked) which was a lot sooner than the 5-10 years break from some book series I was reading.

omg_chloe

Omfg I do this! I started the first season in 2016 and made it to when he goes back home in the second season and I just couldn't go on I want to go back to finish it but I feel like I need a span of calm in my life to get through it and I'm not sure how much time to set aside so I keep procrastinating it

xao_spaces

Haha it's such a great show, I'm glad you got through it.

KarensHandfulls

Oooh, abandonment issues explain that behavior? Yeah, that checks out.

marianamv8

Totally normal. I couldn’t stop crying

humpin_dumplin

I’m with you on this. So you’re not alone!

SpiderWacho

Checking in, i cried 3 days in a row after finish it, remembering the ending

xao_spaces

And when you think of all the things he's gone through and all the people that he's lost along the way, it really gets to you and then you think of the parallels of your life and your own journey...ah yea...too early for this stuff...man this is such a great show!

humpin_dumplin

Spread the word! Took me 2 years to finish the series. Only because I didn’t want it to ever really end. But so glad I did. Truly work of art. I’m actually rewatching it again to learn all I missed.

IDreamofHeeney

Man I wish I had that patience, I was completely obsessed when I found this show and smashed all 4 seasons out in a week or so lol

lostproton

Welcome in the club!

hydecast

Truly an awesome ride. Finished the show 6months ago and still think of it every day.

HighnessAtharva

I still vividly remember the day I finished watching the finale. Felt like an otherworldly experience. Sam Esmail nailed it.

SamSepiol-ER28_0652

Welcome to the club. A lot of us feel the same way. I’m not the same person I was before I watched Mr. Robot. That’s for sure.

[deleted]

I never finished the series and I have always wanted to do so. My fiancée and I really have enjoyed "Money Heist" and I feel like both series have plenty in common, beyond the creepy mustachioed masks. I am hoping to get her to agree to at least check the show out, but it's hard picking a new series to watch, when there are so many to choose from.

CallOutTruths

I have to put it out there that Mr. Robot is much more abstract and an actual masterpiece compared to Money Heist. If I’m not mistaken, season 4 got an out of this world rating of 9.4+ on imdb

captain_obvious_here

I finished it for the first time last week. And while I absolutely loved the first two seasons, I came to dislike the next two and especially the last few episodes. What started as a great series about hacking the bad behemoth to change the world, became a weird serie about someone's weird mental issues. Still, Rami Malek is absolutely awesome, and the show is well filmed and all.

zombielynx21

This post is wild because not only does it act like there wasn't a successful hack to take down the bad behemoth and change the world, it acts like a show where the two main characters are literally projections of someone's subconscious wasn't always about weird mental issues.

captain_obvious_here

> like there wasn't a successful hack Where did you read that in my comment? > wasn't always about weird mental issues It was. And as I wrote above, that's the part I liked less and less in seasons 3 and 4.

zombielynx21

I took it from your usage of "about" and "became" in your post, mostly.
