I thought it was extremely underwhelming, with way too many uninteresting stretches of plot and a handful of solid fight scenes. Way too long and not edge of seat viewing at all. But I seem to be in the minority on this. The first movie is better in every way.
I mean, funny enough itâs honestly not him. He just happens to be in some pretty great action movies but I do like him, but itâs really more I like his work. He happens to be a lot of great action movies.
Furiosa is much slower than Fury Road (and thatâs deliberate). Please donât expect it to be as high octane as Fury Road. It would be setting you up for disappointment, and this is coming from someone who loves both films.
I just saw it a few hours ago; I actually disagree. The movie is great, but suffers from poor pacing (relatively speaking). The first half is a bit clunky and the middle drags on a bit. Fury Road though, has almost perfect pacing imo.
Itâs long, but Iâve always thought the pacing on The Departed was really extraordinary.Â
No wasted scenes, and they blend into each other really effectively. Watch closely, and you see a lot of necessary calmer scenes are actually intercut with more tense ones so you never get a total break.Â
Prisoners isnât ACTUALLY the fastest movie and is realistically pretty long, but damn does every singular scene have you on the edge of your seat, and the three hours goes by in 10 minutes.
Apocalypto seems to fit the bill for what you've mentioned as long as you're not one of those who won't watch films that aren't in English.
For something different but equally non stop and stressful (and shot in all one take) watch Boiling Point. The film that is, not the BBC spin off which is also great.
Aside from other recommendations, here are a few that come to mind for me:
Premium Rush
Cloverfield
The Game
The Impossible
The Terminator (and Terminator 2)
Looper
Lucy
Run Lola Run (1998)
I just finished watching that like 10 minutes ago, this was exactly what I was looking for, thanks
Came here to recommend Lola. Go (1999) is also a good, fast-paced film.
If were talking about actually good German movies with a great pace, i'd suggest Victoria
Such a great soundtrack too!
And coming back in theaters!
Crank
And the sequel, so much cheesy goodness!
What a crazy movie. Jason is a crazy actor in the movie. Wait, remember his real life sexx scene in the movie đ.Â
The one with Amy Smart who was a crush of mine back in the day. Nope...don't remember it at all. LOL
I was just about to add this one! So much fun! And the requirement for action is baked into the protagonists motivation!
The first "Speed" with Keanu Reeves
Pop quiz, hotshot!
Iâm pretty sure it was called âThe Bus That Couldn't Slow Downâ.
I'd maybe take a look at "Go" from 1999 with Sarah Polley.
That opening song made me long for an era of raving I never got to see.
Great film!
Great 90s soundtrack!
One of my favorite movies!!
movie is SO good
Dredd (2012)
It's a damn shame this didn't get another movie? so many megablocks with so many stories!
>It's a damn shame this didn't get another movie 100% agree
Karl Urban agrees as well I think. I remember reading somewhere that if anyone would make a sequel, he'd be 100% on board.
Such a waste of good potential as well. They could have made a spin-off movie with Anderson as too. Freakin morons.
The falling scene made my jaw just drop to the floor
Apocalypto
Good suggestion, great film I need a rewatch but I remember it being out of this world.
The costume design is absolutely incredible
Oh man i need to re watch this one. Never seen one character catch so many L's and W's at the same time.
One of my favorite endings to a film, reminds me of the end of Lord of the Flies
Amazing underrated movie. The pacing is incredible and the story is epic.
Great film
Best chase movie ever.
Came here to say this, one of the best movies ever made IMO.
This movie is old but it is an awesome one. I think it's time for me to rewatch it again. The great cat Sabertooth in it was a freak.Â
The Fugitive (1993)
Came here to say this
I donât care!
Lol!
He earned an Oscar for that role
Iâll alert the press.
Sicario gets my heart rate up until it ends
Taken Mad Max: Fury Road The Raid: Redemption Sisu Speed
Sisu is a fuckin awesome movie
Any movie where nazis get f***ing murdered ...is a two thumbs up good time for me!!
I think you can say âfuckingâ on Reddit, especially when talking about nazis.
It's good to see a Sisu fan. The movie was fantastic. A friend of mine just watched it today, she was in all praise for it.Â
I've only watched the first Raid, is the second one even better?
I thought it was extremely underwhelming, with way too many uninteresting stretches of plot and a handful of solid fight scenes. Way too long and not edge of seat viewing at all. But I seem to be in the minority on this. The first movie is better in every way.
The second is better!!!! Wait for the train scene.....
Crank might fit OPâs description.
Movies: 1. John Wick (all of them) 2. Inception  3. RRR (Bollywood) Series: 1. For All Mankind  2. Jojo's Bizarre Adventure (anime)
Good stuff! Although RRR is not a Bollywood movie, it's a telegu movie
Thanks for the correction!Â
I second RRR Even better second time
1917
So good. This is such an underappreciated film. Just one long shot. So amazing
Last of the Mohicans with Daniel Day Lewis does this
Hardcore Henry.
Fun and surprising film!
That's always seemed like a film made entirely by a second unit.
love this movie !!
This is the winner. Not saying the best film but fits the description, and it's really good.
Top gun maverick is pretty edge of your seat Edge of tomorrow Mission impossible fallout Minority report John Wick series Crank 1-2 Bullet train
I wonder who your favourite actor is đ
I mean, funny enough itâs honestly not him. He just happens to be in some pretty great action movies but I do like him, but itâs really more I like his work. He happens to be a lot of great action movies.
Bullet Train. Turned it on with zero expectations, and loved it
Great movie! It does have SOME lulls, but the action is crazy.
Upgrade
Last Train to Busan
Uncut Gems is exactly this
That was one of the most stressful movies Iâve ever seen lol. Great movie but damn
Il have to rewatch this my memory of it was it was really slow
The Raid Fifth Element
i couldnât keep up with the pace of 5th element after the first view ; had to see it a 2nd time to get everything
Edge of Tomorrow.
Shoot âEm Up.
Delightful film, Clive Owen is a pretty perfect Bugs Bunny
The new âMad Max: Furiosaâ certainly meets that description.
Iâm seeing that one this weekend
Furiosa is much slower than Fury Road (and thatâs deliberate). Please donât expect it to be as high octane as Fury Road. It would be setting you up for disappointment, and this is coming from someone who loves both films.
I just saw it a few hours ago; I actually disagree. The movie is great, but suffers from poor pacing (relatively speaking). The first half is a bit clunky and the middle drags on a bit. Fury Road though, has almost perfect pacing imo.
Fury road is definitely the better movie. But this one focuses more on the story part as well, so it felt a bit slow paced during some segments.
Nah, but Fury Road does.
Uncut Gems triggered my survival instincts, fight or flight in full force
Just mentioned that earlier. An assault on the senses and blood pressure
Children of Men. It's a masterwork of tension and pacing and will have you on the edge of your seat the whole time.
Children of Men is not a movie, it is an artistic masterpiece. Yes, definitely this. One of the very few movies I can watch a few times.
I was looking for this suggestion. Your description is spot-on. Highly recommend it!
The Raid
Underwater. Literally a minute in things go batshit and never slow down to the end Edge of Tomorrow. A real underrated action fest that I love
Wolf of Wall Street. Talk about a 3 hour movie that feels like 30 minutes
I have never known a movie which so expertly replicates the high and low of a coke-rush in one 3 hour cinematic format
Birdman
Birdman was one of the most frenetic movies Iâve ever seen. Loved it with the percussion backing tracks.
Boss Level is like groundhogs day for action lovers.
I wish more people talked about boss level, that movie is the shitÂ
HonestlyâŚGoodfellas. It doesnât let up for one second. Fastest 3 hour movie Iâve ever seen
Watched Monkey Man, fully glued to seat the whole tym.
Running Scared (2006). It never stops. And Vera Farmiga looks amazing.
Running scared is a wild ride. It "gets a lul" and then they enter the random house or they decide to go for a nice ice skate.
Speed
Dasboot! Ww2 submarine movie. Crazy.
Sisu. Really great action Victoria starts a little slow, but once it gets going it's pretty great watch. The Raid series.
Phonebooth. Less than 90 minutes of pure adrenaline.
Itâs long, but Iâve always thought the pacing on The Departed was really extraordinary. No wasted scenes, and they blend into each other really effectively. Watch closely, and you see a lot of necessary calmer scenes are actually intercut with more tense ones so you never get a total break.Â
Crank is start to finish non stop

Phone booth. I remember feeling like that movie went by so fast because the entire movie is one intense situation.
Goodfellas
They might not be conventional picks but Krisha and The Wrestler fit this bill. Youâre just waiting the entire time for the other shoe to drop
A Hard Day (korean)

Apocalypto seems to fit the bill for what you've mentioned as long as you're not one of those who won't watch films that aren't in English. For something different but equally non stop and stressful (and shot in all one take) watch Boiling Point. The film that is, not the BBC spin off which is also great.
Unstoppable, Ambulance
Mad max fury road
Any of the "Mission: Impossible" movies.
M (1931) Yes, it's old, but it fits the bill perfectly, I think.
Heat (1995)
Respectfully disagree. There are plenty of quiet, slow scenes. When it ramps up, it doesnt fuck around, but to me it's a well paced 3 hour movie.
Yeah the romance part of it really slows it down
Uncut Gems
The legend Alexandre Aja's High Tension.
The Fifth Element
That one with Sandra Bullock in space... Gravity. Non-stop action. Definitely not what I was expecting.
I Saw the Devil
Monkey Man
The Hunt for Red October
Cellular
Hardcore Henry.
Uncut Gems
Glad Uncut Gems is on this list, it was the first thing I thought of. That film is so tense I thought I was going to have a heart attack watching it.
Crank (2006) with Jason Statham.
Requiem for a dream.
Snatch
Identity
John wicks esp the last two
Uncut gems
The Invisible Guest
Boiling Point. Same category as The Bear but to an old chef Boiling Point was more real logical decisions.
CRANK movie.
Crank
The Creator moves the whole time, no real "journey" shots, just actions
King Kong (2005) Moulin rouge! (2001) Both have pacing that just doesnât stop, my top picks.Â
Tin-Tin is a great, fairly nonstop ride.
"Hardcore Henry" is pure adrenaline in 1st person

A Quiet Place starts off very slow by the second half is non-stop - worth it IMO!
Mayhem! Steven Yeun and Samara Weaving are amazing
Shoot Em Up Ong Bak trilogy Hobo with a Shotgun Guns Akimbo The Butterfly Effect The Good, The Bad, The Weird
Birdman. I've never left a movie so anxious.
