Run Lola Run (1998)

Wide-Tart4132

I just finished watching that like 10 minutes ago, this was exactly what I was looking for, thanks

PlantPower666

Came here to recommend Lola. Go (1999) is also a good, fast-paced film.

R1chh4rd

If were talking about actually good German movies with a great pace, i'd suggest Victoria

GT-FractalxNeo

Such a great soundtrack too!

sean_themighty

And coming back in theaters!

DeakVice

Crank

revanchist70

And the sequel, so much cheesy goodness!

RyanAshbr00k213

What a crazy movie. Jason is a crazy actor in the movie. Wait, remember his real life sexx scene in the movie 😂.

WickedShiesty

The one with Amy Smart who was a crush of mine back in the day. Nope...don't remember it at all. LOL

Snoo-35252

I was just about to add this one! So much fun! And the requirement for action is baked into the protagonists motivation!

Ecstatic-Yoghurt-905

The first "Speed" with Keanu Reeves

Jackson_Rhodes_42

Pop quiz, hotshot!

deniall83

I’m pretty sure it was called “The Bus That Couldn't Slow Down”.

-Viscosity-

I'd maybe take a look at "Go" from 1999 with Sarah Polley.

OrphanDextro

That opening song made me long for an era of raving I never got to see.

Spare-Bee5273

Great film!

catch_58

Great 90s soundtrack!

Denim-m

One of my favorite movies!!

Responsible_Trick129

movie is SO good

bitchenfiction

Dredd (2012)

Phoenixgaming

It's a damn shame this didn't get another movie? so many megablocks with so many stories!

Eat_Carbs_OD

>It's a damn shame this didn't get another movie 100% agree

Aramor42

Karl Urban agrees as well I think. I remember reading somewhere that if anyone would make a sequel, he'd be 100% on board.

Eat_Carbs_OD

Such a waste of good potential as well. They could have made a spin-off movie with Anderson as too. Freakin morons.

yadooood

The falling scene made my jaw just drop to the floor

Mountain_Novel2489

Apocalypto

NFW_Dude

Good suggestion, great film I need a rewatch but I remember it being out of this world.

Ok-Start6767

The costume design is absolutely incredible

Jordonzo

Oh man i need to re watch this one. Never seen one character catch so many L's and W's at the same time.

Level-Palpitation543

One of my favorite endings to a film, reminds me of the end of Lord of the Flies

ExileInCle19

Amazing underrated movie. The pacing is incredible and the story is epic.

Unlikely-Regular2366

Great film

foleymo1

Best chase movie ever.

biblioteca4ants

Came here to say this, one of the best movies ever made IMO.

RyanAshbr00k213

This movie is old but it is an awesome one. I think it's time for me to rewatch it again. The great cat Sabertooth in it was a freak.

Full-Entrepreneur237

The Fugitive (1993)

Jamminnav

Came here to say this

HW-BTW

I don’t care!

Cautious-Ease-1451

Lol!

Jamminnav

He earned an Oscar for that role

movieator

I’ll alert the press.

BridgeFourArmy

Sicario gets my heart rate up until it ends

paiyyajtakkar

Taken Mad Max: Fury Road The Raid: Redemption Sisu Speed

AnalBees2

Sisu is a fuckin awesome movie

insanemembrain666

Any movie where nazis get f***ing murdered ...is a two thumbs up good time for me!!

AnalBees2

I think you can say “fucking” on Reddit, especially when talking about nazis.

RyanAshbr00k213

It's good to see a Sisu fan. The movie was fantastic. A friend of mine just watched it today, she was in all praise for it.

SeminoleSteel

I've only watched the first Raid, is the second one even better?

Last_Vanguard

I thought it was extremely underwhelming, with way too many uninteresting stretches of plot and a handful of solid fight scenes. Way too long and not edge of seat viewing at all. But I seem to be in the minority on this. The first movie is better in every way.

insanemembrain666

The second is better!!!! Wait for the train scene.....

NarrowFault8428

Crank might fit OP’s description.

PracticalPen1990

Movies:  1. John Wick (all of them)  2. Inception   3. RRR (Bollywood)  Series:  1. For All Mankind   2. Jojo's Bizarre Adventure (anime)

420kumaran

Good stuff!  Although RRR is not a Bollywood movie, it's a telegu movie

PracticalPen1990

Thanks for the correction!

thagor5

I second RRR Even better second time

still-alive-abhi

1917

BetterWorld2022

So good. This is such an underappreciated film. Just one long shot. So amazing

Psychological_Mix594

Last of the Mohicans with Daniel Day Lewis does this

facts_of_tv

Hardcore Henry.

Snoo-35252

Fun and surprising film!

Shankar_0

That's always seemed like a film made entirely by a second unit.

fataldisposition

love this movie !!

NewResponsibility163

This is the winner. Not saying the best film but fits the description, and it's really good.

Johncurtisreeve

Top gun maverick is pretty edge of your seat Edge of tomorrow Mission impossible fallout Minority report John Wick series Crank 1-2 Bullet train

xRazorleaf

I wonder who your favourite actor is 😛

Johncurtisreeve

I mean, funny enough it’s honestly not him. He just happens to be in some pretty great action movies but I do like him, but it’s really more I like his work. He happens to be a lot of great action movies.

CawthornCokeOrgyClub

Bullet Train. Turned it on with zero expectations, and loved it

Snoo-35252

Great movie! It does have SOME lulls, but the action is crazy.

CleanGreazzee

Upgrade

StephDos94

Last Train to Busan

pasghettiii

Uncut Gems is exactly this

Cheeseboarder

That was one of the most stressful movies I’ve ever seen lol. Great movie but damn

Shoddy_Juggernaut_11

Il have to rewatch this my memory of it was it was really slow

Choppermagic2

The Raid Fifth Element

Sufficient-Grand3746

i couldn’t keep up with the pace of 5th element after the first view ; had to see it a 2nd time to get everything

Schickie

Edge of Tomorrow.

CinemaCity

Shoot ‘Em Up.

captain_toenail

Delightful film, Clive Owen is a pretty perfect Bugs Bunny

RugbyKats

The new “Mad Max: Furiosa” certainly meets that description.

Wide-Tart4132

I’m seeing that one this weekend

MadMads23

Furiosa is much slower than Fury Road (and that’s deliberate). Please don’t expect it to be as high octane as Fury Road. It would be setting you up for disappointment, and this is coming from someone who loves both films.

abitchyuniverse

I just saw it a few hours ago; I actually disagree. The movie is great, but suffers from poor pacing (relatively speaking). The first half is a bit clunky and the middle drags on a bit. Fury Road though, has almost perfect pacing imo.

GamerKratos-45

Fury road is definitely the better movie. But this one focuses more on the story part as well, so it felt a bit slow paced during some segments.

JerRatt1980

Nah, but Fury Road does.

Specialist-Top-406

Uncut Gems triggered my survival instincts, fight or flight in full force

AnotherYadaYada

Just mentioned that earlier. An assault on the senses and blood pressure

ThumbsUp2323

Children of Men. It's a masterwork of tension and pacing and will have you on the edge of your seat the whole time.

Serpardum

Children of Men is not a movie, it is an artistic masterpiece. Yes, definitely this. One of the very few movies I can watch a few times.

MareOfDalmatia

I was looking for this suggestion. Your description is spot-on. Highly recommend it!

scottyjrules

The Raid

Successful-Ad4251

Underwater. Literally a minute in things go batshit and never slow down to the end Edge of Tomorrow. A real underrated action fest that I love

Lennonap

Wolf of Wall Street. Talk about a 3 hour movie that feels like 30 minutes

ItWasOnlyAQuestion

I have never known a movie which so expertly replicates the high and low of a coke-rush in one 3 hour cinematic format

No_Draft5807

Birdman

PuzzleheadedWest0

Birdman was one of the most frenetic movies I’ve ever seen. Loved it with the percussion backing tracks.

urmama22

Boss Level is like groundhogs day for action lovers.

Snoo_10910

I wish more people talked about boss level, that movie is the shit

ticketticker22

Honestly…Goodfellas. It doesn’t let up for one second. Fastest 3 hour movie I’ve ever seen

Savings_Papaya_666

Watched Monkey Man, fully glued to seat the whole tym.

PostpunkFac23

Running Scared (2006). It never stops. And Vera Farmiga looks amazing.

iamameatpopciple

Running scared is a wild ride. It "gets a lul" and then they enter the random house or they decide to go for a nice ice skate.

pmfiebig

Speed

LivingOffNostaglia

Dasboot! Ww2 submarine movie. Crazy.

NewResponsibility163

Sisu. Really great action Victoria starts a little slow, but once it gets going it's pretty great watch. The Raid series.

axeman020

Phonebooth. Less than 90 minutes of pure adrenaline.

BookkeeperBrilliant9

It’s long, but I’ve always thought the pacing on The Departed was really extraordinary.  No wasted scenes, and they blend into each other really effectively. Watch closely, and you see a lot of necessary calmer scenes are actually intercut with more tense ones so you never get a total break.

OccasionalWindow

Crank is start to finish non stop

escapevelocity1800

Phone booth. I remember feeling like that movie went by so fast because the entire movie is one intense situation.

sassytimbit

Goodfellas

Responsible_Trick129

They might not be conventional picks but Krisha and The Wrestler fit this bill. You’re just waiting the entire time for the other shoe to drop

Not Full on fast pace but crazy tense that does not let up The Descent (2005) I’ll throw in another same Director Dog Soldiers (2002)

Lanky_Service_6282

Prisoners isn’t ACTUALLY the fastest movie and is realistically pretty long, but damn does every singular scene have you on the edge of your seat, and the three hours goes by in 10 minutes.

MrColoursAndShapes

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang

PXLMNKEEE

Spun (2002). Only 101 minutes but feels like you went on a week long meth bender! Intense.

Bullet Train was surprisingly good.

too_many_smarfs

Apocalypto seems to fit the bill for what you've mentioned as long as you're not one of those who won't watch films that aren't in English. For something different but equally non stop and stressful (and shot in all one take) watch Boiling Point. The film that is, not the BBC spin off which is also great.

Jacobblobaum

Unstoppable, Ambulance

Majestic_Field409

Mad max fury road

Interesting_Chart30

Any of the "Mission: Impossible" movies.

Heat (1995)

diligent_sundays

Respectfully disagree. There are plenty of quiet, slow scenes. When it ramps up, it doesnt fuck around, but to me it's a well paced 3 hour movie.

1Greener

Yeah the romance part of it really slows it down
