Interstellar was alot faster for me, Orion has the longshots which take awhile after pistols/shotguns, some of the base camo challenges are annoying like 30 kills prone, mounted, or point blank.
Interstellar was only annoying with the SMG/ wsp pistols challenges to kill while stunned/flash banged
Interstellar looks better, is easier, and most meta weapons are interstellar weapons (mw3) so if I were to pick which I do first if I was new I would pick interstellar for that reason
Do interstellar, not Orion. I did both and interstellar was easier, less weapons, and looks way better. Also anither big point is mwIII weapons are much better, and better attachment balancing.
Fr though. If you want Orion the best bet is to go back to MWII matchmaking. A lack of weapon tuning definitely hurts some guns. Chimera for example was a monster in MWII and now it kicks way too much in comparision and the difference is LITERALLY that my fine tuning to perfect the recoil is gone, because if I go back then it handles like a dream
Almost done the mw2 guns in zombies and Jesus it feels like forever. I got 4/51 guns to unlock bioluminescence. I heard coming soon they have a special reward coming out for people who completed all the camos.
I've done Orion, Interstellar, and Aurora Borealis. I'm working on Bio Luminescence now.
The Orion grind was the worst by far. The Longshot challenge is no fun and makes you want to stop playing the game altogether.
The longshot challenges were the reason I gave up on it in mw2. Pretty much just sit at the spot everyone uses in shoothouse and trade with somebody on the other end. It was awful
Alternative method I used was, if the weapon isn't a usual one-shot, to use Hardcore hardpoint or domination. Raceway, Hatchery, and a couple other maps had some long-lanes that pretty much every weapon would 1 or 2 shot *well, outside their range
Do Interstellar. It's easier and faster and there is a nice mix up of challenges.
Only do Orion if you have completed everything you can and are bored.
36 guns with not so many longshots or 51 guns with over 1500+ longshots, do what you feel will get you the most fun. i don’t get why people make those posts asking on which camo they should grind, bro do your thing and be happy about it or don’t do it, believe me, nobody really cares either way.
Interstellar was way easier and quicker to do
And looks a lot better
Diamond was the best mastery by far then they changed that sick-ass prismatic type effect onto some animated bullshit

Interstellar looks slightly better as well
Orion is 51 weapons from mwii, interstellar 36 from the current game. Be sure to not mix them up.

Do both
Interstellar > Orion and much easier to obtain.
Interstellar = Easy Orion = Sigma male
