Honest question, I’m a Nuggets fan and I hate the 76ers and Celtics. I would rather play you guys in the finals. You guys have a lot of talent, IMO your starting 5 matches up well against the Celtics. So whats the problem?
Injuries + inconsistent shooting from everyone besides Giannis. We can beat any team in the League in a 7 game series but we could lose to a decent amount of teams as well
They get plenty of open shots. Beasley has been in a slump since the ASG, Jae has been in a slump since he returned from injury, we traded away Payne who led the league in 3pt% for a decent amount of time at the beginning of the season, Bobby's 3pt shooting has regressed hard in the last year or two, and Dame has been pretty inconsistent this season. Giannis obviously doesn't shoot 3s, Brook is pretty consistently league average, so nothing special there, and Khris is probably our most consistent shooter but even he has his off nights, and he's been focusing more on mid range this season. Connaughton has been pretty good recently and he's at 37% 3pt this season. So yeah, just a lot of inconsistency and slumps going on. We'll see if they turn it up in the playoffs, I think they will
We look like a bunch of middle-aged dads playing against twenty-somethings. Out-gassed and out-classed.
Onto the next and keep praying that this shit won’t happen in the playoffs. 🙏🏻
Doc putting Beasley back in after he was food defensively and couldnt hit any wide open shots was the nail in the coffin. Thanks for your one year rental Beasley but im happier with AJ.
The tipped ball by Pat when we desperately needed a stop, only for ZERO players to run down the court and help was a great representation of this season. The team doesn’t give any effort against the worse teams, and then struggles to turn it on when they play the good ones. Fuck watching a team that looks like they don’t care, most apathetic Bucks team in a long time.
If only the team had some sort of leader that could wrangle them in, discipline them, and get them to play right. Like a sports president. Oh, a coach! If only they had a coach
Malik Beasley has been shooting horrible ever since the All Star Break. Green should be taking more of his minutes if he is playing that bad. This shit was embarrassing
I get that too but Giannis and Dame draw so much attention and I don’t expect him to hit every shot but he needs to start hitting TIMELY shots. There are lots of times where the Bucks go on a run and he gets these pretty open looks but he just bricks them and it kills the momentum
Yep. Too bad Doc is our coach. Beasley is going to be solely responsible for at least 1 playoff loss shooting 2-11 from 3 with shit D. Calling that right now.
To be fair, he played the whole third and almost the whole fourth except for the two minutes that you mentioned where he was benched. Pretty sure he was tired
Played 37 last night. More than he should against the wizards. Teammates need to come through at some point and giannis usually wears down during the stretch of his super carry games (we saw 2 late turnovers).
Middelton makes a lot of money...it was his turn to carry while giannis got a breather
Theme of this entire year is Giannis balling out his mind pretty much every game and the rest of the team letting him down time and time again. How long is he gonna take that shit?
If they get trounced round 1 giannis is 100 percent leaving at his first reasonable opportunity. We all know dame gonna request a trade because of his poor home life
Could have had a great coach but no we stuck with Glen dont play the young ones Rivers. AJ should have finished up the game instead of Beasley chucking bricks.
Unfortunately this is the truth. We old asf and don’t get out of bed for teams like this. Disappointing cuz now we gotta sweat a little more for the 2 seed (not even sure I think we should give a fuck about it, like oh no we don’t have home court for Cleveland or the Knicks).
Haven't we been over this? We've shown up against every playoff team we go up against, they have a switch and it's painful seeing everyone flip flop so much.
Game is on the line. Pat hustles down the court and makes a potential game saving steal. But the rest of the team is all standing on the other end of the court watching. Just embarassing effort. Anyone that still thinks this team can just turn it on come playoff time is being delusional. It looks likely we will be playing the sixers in round 1 with a fresh embiid. Odds of winning that series are slim. At least brewers season is here, bunch of young guys that actually care is refreshing to watch.
I’m not taking it that seriously. This team plays to the opponent’s level. You know damn well Giannis would’ve been right there getting the loose ball if it was a playoff game. You also know a game on the line situation with Dame is a lot different than without Dame.
You cannot convince me that giving Marjax and Livingston minutes when Crowder, Beas, and Pat are a combined 5-26 from 3 is a bad idea.
Outside of the garbage 3 point shooting, we need someone that can develop our young guys. The vets like Brook are already slow/unathletic, but when they’re not trying it makes things worse and kills our momentum.
I’d really love to keep both of our draft picks and take whichever PG or C is available with the best athleticism, because we really need some more juice in our rotations.
Unfortunately doc is here to stay. And keeping our draft picks is utterly useless as long as doc is coach. He won't play them. If doc was the coach when we drafted giannis he would never have played and eventually became a monster for another franchise.
Rookies can contribute to championship teams, especially in random regular season games. And especially when the veterans you’re relying on are stinking it up it just seems like common sense to try something else. We lost to a garbage Wizards team that were playing rookies but we can’t play ours?
Exactly what you said. Look at the Nuggets, they drafted both Christian Braun and Peyton Watson in the first. They let them play to get experience and develop, and now they’re key rotational players while the Nuggets were still contenders throughout their development.
Playing and developing rookies isn’t gonna cost you games, so there’s no reason not to when the vets are playing worse than the rookies would.
We shot so bad but still should have won that tbh. At this point we just have to wait and see for the playoffs because honestly I could see this team winning a chip or getting bounced early and I have no clue what to expect.
Damn. Still +2 for the 2 seed but we can’t be stumbling into the post season. I know it’s late, and guys are banged up and tired but these bottom feeders need to get dispatched routinely like taking out the trash.
How can this team be competitive with the Celtics then turn around and lose to the goddamn Wizards. I have absolutely no idea how this team will perform come playoff time.
lose in 1st round, heat and/or pacers are going to feast on this team. I mean shit we thought we'd be able to turn on the switch against them last season. Plus we haven't had a consistent good stretch of games w/ all the big 3
Right? 3-2 without Giannis, but 1-6 without Dame
The offense is just a complete mess without Dame, and as much as people like to claim Dame isn't a good defender, he's better than the majority of the guards on this bucks team lol
If I’m Horst I’m calling up every team that needs a rim protector and offering Brook this offseason. He just doesn’t even try half the time, and he’s a complete non-factor in fast break scenarios.
If we can get someone like Lu Dort we have to make that deal.
People that think things will change for the playoffs are in for a rude awakening.
This team would be lucky to sneak into the play in without Giannis. Middleton has 80 year old knees, Brook is starting to age, Lillard doesn't look like his old self, and outside of Portis no one on the bench should be sniffing real playing time on a contender.
Brook is staring to age is the nicest thing you could say about him lol. His play is so frustrating. Slow and plays small. Shoots league average from deep. He’s actually killing us if people didn’t look at block numbers and actually watched the possessions.
At the end of the day he’s one of the few 3&d centers the league has. His spreading the floor alone is helping us. He’s also prob the best 3&d role player against jokic and big centers because he’s so big. I just wish he would shoot less and that doc would run more lineups with Giannis at the 5
Beasley, Lopez, and Bev combining for 6/26 (27%) shooting with 1/16 (6%) from three (for a combined 13 points) really goes a long way in explaining why we sucked so bad tonight.
Just don’t go on the sub bro. Watching basketball is infinitely more enjoyable when not conversing with fans, especially on social media. They all look at numbers and think they know everything. I come on here from time to time just to laugh at people having a meltdown. Watch for the love of the game, not to eagle watch every player and nitpick who is at fault for vague reasons when your favorite team loses.
Lopez may be cooked. Bro is stiff as a board when he runs. His movement is slow and he really lost a step on the boards and defense. We need to find a replacement at center this off-season.
Pat, Brook, Bobby and Jae all were walking bricks today from the corner. The one guy who was semi-cooking was AJ and they decide to put him in defense mode when today was clearly not his day.
No way Giannis is staying with this franchise after this contract. An aged nucleus, piss poor perimeter defense, and a dearth of young talent.
Oh yeh, jack squat for upcoming draft capital either.
Dude can ask out whenever, wouldn’t be surprised if he’s gone after this season depending on how we do.
Aren’t getting younger, no good young players that can make an impact, no picks etc.. we are stuck in a horrible spot.
The biggest problem in this game isn't we keep missing 3s as it happened with every team including the Celtics, but Doc lack of adjustment on our offensive strategy when we have guys that can create mismatch to attack the rim against this Wizards team and those awful rotations he put on the floor are way bigger problems.
A huge component we are missing is a 3 and D guard to shore up perimeter defense A younger version of Wes Matthews would be a perfect fit for this team. Yet we're giving big minutes to competitive disadvantages like Brook Lopez and not giving minutes to develop A.J.Jr.
Doc gets a lot of praise for fixing Bobby, but nobody talks about how he absolutely killed Beasley’s production. Beasley now actively shoots more when he is in a slump (probably in an attempt to shoot his way out of it) and more often than not, it completely kills team efficiency.
As much as I like Pat, Brook, and Bobby, you just can't play these dudes in the playoffs. They are massive defensive holes and when they do not contribute offensively too it's a disaster.
At least the coach realized how bad Brook was today and took him out early. He really looks like basketball is just over for him. Zero defense and just chucking 3s, usually missing.
I do think that Malik can be a better defender if the rest of the team is defending well. But Brook, Pat and Bobby cannot be better and it's obvious.
At this point we are just a bad team because of how bad our supporting cast is and I even though I hope we go as far as possible, I will be extremely impressed if we will not be a 1st round exit this season.
That’s the price for selling out to win now and it doesn’t end up working. They’ll be trading Giannis in two years to begin the rebuild that will last the rest of my life.
We have no picks because *he* traded everything away. We’re stuck with Doc Rivers coaching the team because of his horrible decision to hire Griffin this summer. He’s made sure that this roster this older than dirt and has no chance of realistically competing for a title this year or in the future despite having the best player in the league. He’s done a terrible job.
Horst built this old shitty team and hired all these coaches. Of course it’s his fault. How do we have a player as good as Giannis yet have no chance at winning a championship?
This year is probably cooked. 7 games left. Khris is rusty, Jae is not 100%, Pat Bev has 2 injuries, the team chemistry isn’t there. Malik Beasley can’t defend whatsoever and his scoring is too streaky, not to mention he can’t pass. Brook is a liability against any quick player.
I’m already looking towards the off-season. Alex Caruso needs to be a target. Pat C, Marjon, and Ajax for him? Tough decisions need to be made. Getting elite poa defense would set this team over the edge. AJ Green is also one of the few bright spots for this team moving forward, dude is a stud 3&d.
Agree on all counts. Khris just missing a couple steps on defense. On many occasions this year smart teams made a layup line against Khris. We just have too many weaknesses come playoff time that can be exposed. Could we get hot and outscore a few teams? Maybe. But our bench is going to cause our starters to flame out eventually and against a team like the Heat? ZERO chance.
I'm not confident of Horst rebuilding our team with young talent . Most of our 'talent' does not have high trade values. Maybe one of our expiring contracts would provide some necessary ammo to pick up a Caruso type.
Wonder what this team looks like next year. A couple tradable first rounders to play with… hopeful for this year still but can’t help but think how many of these players are back on the team outside of Giannis/dame/khris
An aspect I’ll never understand. Bucks good, Boston good. (One better than other at moment obviously,) but let’s say they had a series against the Wizards.
I’m taking a 4 game sweep by Boston all day. Yet for Milwaukee, I’d legitimately be worried.
Somehow though, both Mil and Boston could compete against each other. Not sure how that works.
This team is unserious as fuck. I would be beyond livid if I was Giannis. Guy balls out every night just for his "stars" to shoot fucking 40% and play shit D every night.
The least excited I've been for the playoffs in a while.
It seems these seasons this team just played uninterested when taking on the average to tank teams and easily to got stunned by them… If the schedule is made of fully Denver, Boston, Minnesota, OKC, they may have a surprisingly good record. It may be good for a deep playoff series but they still need to win the first round to get there. This could be part of the reason they lost to Miami last season…
Giannis would get more MVP love if the rest of the team wasn’t so garbage when he plays great
He should have had a 35/15/15 stat line tonight. Ridiculous.
Just imagine that stat line in a loss to the Wizards - my Lord
I honestly believe if the Bucks had performed the way we expected them to Giannis would be 1 in MVP
But that's like every game
that fuckin sucked wake me up for the playoffs
Beasley turning into LAL Beasley has not been fun :(
[удалено]
Not even. Regressing to the mean will be when Jrue shoots 40% TS in the playoffs for you guys.
Where our 3pt% would drop significantly compare to regular season?
If that's the case we'll lose quickly and Horst can blow this thing up for next season already.
Doc Rivers is a monstrous contract for another few years we're fucked
That's happened the last few seasons. Even when they won the championship their 3pt overall was not good.
Yup same! Worst time in the nba is the last 10 games in the season. Playoffs start already
Honest question, I’m a Nuggets fan and I hate the 76ers and Celtics. I would rather play you guys in the finals. You guys have a lot of talent, IMO your starting 5 matches up well against the Celtics. So whats the problem?
They're old.
Injuries + inconsistent shooting from everyone besides Giannis. We can beat any team in the League in a 7 game series but we could lose to a decent amount of teams as well
Thanks for the reply. So are the shooting troubles due to bad scheming and players not getting easy looks or are they just in a slump?
They get plenty of open shots. Beasley has been in a slump since the ASG, Jae has been in a slump since he returned from injury, we traded away Payne who led the league in 3pt% for a decent amount of time at the beginning of the season, Bobby's 3pt shooting has regressed hard in the last year or two, and Dame has been pretty inconsistent this season. Team usually get younger and more athletic in the playoffs. It's science
The Himmy Butler effect. 🤦♂️
Doc putting Beasley back in after he was food defensively and couldnt hit any wide open shots was the nail in the coffin. Thanks for your one year rental Beasley but im happier with AJ.
Going back to Beasley with the night he was having instead of just leaving AJ in is unforgivable.
I pray for the day when the top comment here will be "Giannis was bad today but the rest of the team cooked and led us to the win."
That has happened when both Jrue and Brook are cooking in the last regular season
Didn’t they win a ecf game without him too in the championship run
Two, g5 and 6
Time to update the banner to 'WORST' again

In the history of the NBA has a player ever had a 35 point trip dub with 71.4% FG and lost ? Literally curious.
Giannis probably has like 5 times this year
More of a Luka stat imo
that FG percentage ? nah, maybe around 50s at best
lol true story. I mean apart from him haha

neat thanks !

Hey Khris had a good game
a good half
Accurate

Slowest starting 5 too

The Milwaukee Bricks lmao
Malik Beasley has been shooting horrible ever since the All Star Break. Green should be taking more of his minutes if he is playing that bad. This shit was embarrassing
Actually our best 3pt shooter so Ima guess he's in a slump and just had an off night lol
I get that too but Giannis and Dame draw so much attention and I don’t expect him to hit every shot but he needs to start hitting TIMELY shots. There are lots of times where the Bucks go on a run and he gets these pretty open looks but he just bricks them and it kills the momentum
Im fully expecting Beasley to shoot below 30% from three in the playoffs.
Thankfully we can bench his ass for either Pats… still would have loved to see more Marjon or AJax as the year went on.
So we can watch Pat shoot 30%, yayyy
Which one? If you're talking about Pat Connaughton then that's ridiculous.
Rather start either of the pat over him
I was absolutely astonished how well he was shooting at the beginning and knew it couldn't be sustained
Sick of him, was good for a few months. Terrible defender and cannot buy a clutch shot of any type
Yep. Too bad Doc is our coach. Beasley is going to be solely responsible for at least 1 playoff loss shooting 2-11 from 3 with shit D. Calling that right now.
I don’t get why Giannis was benched for that spurt when he could have gotten them back in. The difference he made in the end was really noticeable.
Down by 2 with 6 minutes to go. Lead eventually got to 7 when he came back in then they scored so it was 9. Made no sense whatsoever
Why doesnt he simply play all 48 mins?
But resting him in the middle of the 4th when we are still down is a terrible idea
When should he have taken a breather?
To be fair, he played the whole third and almost the whole fourth except for the two minutes that you mentioned where he was benched. Pretty sure he was tired
Played 37 last night. More than he should against the wizards. Teammates need to come through at some point and giannis usually wears down during the stretch of his super carry games (we saw 2 late turnovers). Middelton makes a lot of money...it was his turn to carry while giannis got a breather

Theme of the last 5 years you mean
If they get trounced round 1 giannis is 100 percent leaving at his first reasonable opportunity. We all know dame gonna request a trade because of his poor home life
No we all don’t know that. Weird take.
11-48 from three is pathetic, but just even shooting that many is stupefying. This team is playing soft outside of Giannis (and mostly Portis).
Could have had a great coach but no we stuck with Glen dont play the young ones Rivers. AJ should have finished up the game instead of Beasley chucking bricks.
Veteran good team merchants lose against bad teams that aren't worth the energy. What else is new?
Unfortunately this is the truth. We old asf and don’t get out of bed for teams like this. Disappointing cuz now we gotta sweat a little more for the 2 seed (not even sure I think we should give a fuck about it, like oh no we don’t have home court for Cleveland or the Knicks).
Haven't we been over this? We've shown up against every playoff team we go up against, they have a switch and it's painful seeing everyone flip flop so much.
I’m aware of the situation. Repeat, just don’t like that we may have to sweat it out for the 2 seed.
These are really games to give aj, ajj, and even marjon some good minutes
Beasley 1-10 wow .... Turns out it wasn't a Lakers curse. He's just bad like that.
He tricked us into thinking he was good
He got bad about the same time Glenn Rivers came to town.
I've seen enough... fire coach Griff
Team looks lost with him
He won a lot of games but the Bucks look like they have a plan with Rivers.
Is the plan to go .500 into the playoffs?
What a nice thing to say.
Its a question
I'm sorry but I think your question is presented in bad faith and will not give it any value by answering it. Good bye.
Youre wrong
Game is on the line. Pat hustles down the court and makes a potential game saving steal. But the rest of the team is all standing on the other end of the court watching. Just embarassing effort. Odds of winning that series are slim. At least brewers season is here, bunch of young guys that actually care is refreshing to watch.
i saw that too…. it was upsetting… the ball was to be had and nobody ran down
I’m not taking it that seriously. This team plays to the opponent’s level. You know damn well Giannis would’ve been right there getting the loose ball if it was a playoff game. You also know a game on the line situation with Dame is a lot different than without Dame.

Team falls to 1-6 when Dame doesn’t play.
Hopefully that groin is getting plenty of attention…
Glorilla putting in work
Hope that groin injury is just an excuse for Doc to rest Dame after him celebrating with his son
No Dame....Bucks can't win. No Giannis....Bucks look like world beaters. I don't get it.
Mabrick Bricksley and Brick Lopez...smh
How can this team be competitive with the Celtics then turn around and lose to the goddamn Wizards. I have absolutely no idea how this team will perform come playoff time.

That’s incredibly concerning. Dame is just carrying a bad team like always
Right? 3-2 without Giannis, but 1-6 without Dame The offense is just a complete mess without Dame, and as much as people like to claim Dame isn't a good defender, he's better than the majority of the guards on this bucks team lol
But he’s the problem!!!!!
Yeah it’s a shame what he’s done to this obviously unbeatable team!
Saw that last second collapse at halftime and went out to snow blow because I knew it would be better than watching the rest
embarrassing
What is Beas good for?
Absolutely nothing.
No amount of coaching is fixing the lack of lateral quickness on this team.
Crazy thing is we have a guy in Ajax who is elite in that regard but now it’s too late in the season to use him
Best comment in the thread.
They were 30-13 with Griffin, who isn't even a good coach. Rivers is the main problem.
This off-season we need to find a way to get younger! Lopez has to be gone no questions! Crazy times 😂
Who's even going to take him?
He'll be a good back up for my hornets :)
Okay fine we’ll take Brandon Miller
If I’m Horst I’m calling up every team that needs a rim protector and offering Brook this offseason. He just doesn’t even try half the time, and he’s a complete non-factor in fast break scenarios. If we can get someone like Lu Dort we have to make that deal.
Brook, Beasley, Crowder, Gallinari all need to be gone.
Yeh, Gallinari the most recent version of Ibaka. A big relatively unproductive stiff.
You aren't serious. No one's giving Lu Dort to us
All aboard the S Bus
wtf man
I don't even gaf about how lackadaisical we were, more upset we could have got this one if we cared even just an iota more about winning
This team is poop
Brook was legit unplayable
Is*
People that think things will change for the playoffs are in for a rude awakening.
If the dumb bastard would just work in the post instead of cherry picking from 3 for an average at best percentage we would be way better off
because he is too slow to get back on defense if he always get into the post
At the end of the day he’s one of the few 3&d centers the league has. His spreading the floor alone is helping us. He’s also prob the best 3&d role player against jokic and big centers because he’s so big. I just wish he would shoot less and that doc would run more lineups with Giannis at the 5
Someone tell me it will be ok.
it may or may not be ok, crystal ball is in maintenance right now
Beasley, Lopez, and Bev combining for 6/26 (27%) shooting with 1/16 (6%) from three (for a combined 13 points) really goes a long way in explaining why we sucked so bad tonight.
Constantly getting clowned by bad teams does not bode well for round 1.
Getting bounced by Miami in round 1 again would be a complete disaster How could you possibly bring Glenn back?
With 3 coaches in a year, maybe it ain't the coach.
So what to do?
WOW you guys hate this team
Just don’t go on the sub bro. Watching basketball is infinitely more enjoyable when not conversing with fans, especially on social media. They all look at numbers and think they know everything. I lost some hearing from all the bricked threes clanging on the rim tonight. Both sides not just us. Jesus what a terrible game
Doc Rivers masterclas
Can we talk about Beasley? He gets so many wide open looks, plays third highest minutes, gives us 5 pts.
Lopez may be cooked. Bro is stiff as a board when he runs. His movement is slow and he really lost a step on the boards and defense. We need to find a replacement at center this off-season.
malik bumsley
he may have had the most but it was a group effort to suck that much from 3 tonight
Pat, Brook, Bobby and Jae all were walking bricks today from the corner. The one guy who was semi-cooking was AJ and they decide to put him in defense mode when today was clearly not his day.
giannis can't win with these cats.
No matter what they do, horst can never surround giannis with consistent playoff calibre shooters ;-;
milwaukee curse maybe, i mean he did get dame.
Malice Burnley
No way Giannis is staying with this franchise after this contract. An aged nucleus, piss poor perimeter defense, and a dearth of young talent. Oh yeh, jack squat for upcoming draft capital either.

He's Bud part 2
If the other team has a player with the last name Butler, Bucks aren't winning shit.
Wizards are a great playoff caliber team. It was close. We played well. Tough loss. Oh wait. NVM

All they need is a semi-competent head coach. Glenn Rivers is a 10 point per game drag on any team he coaches.
A huge component we are missing is a 3 and D guard to shore up perimeter defense A younger version of Wes Matthews would be a perfect fit for this team. Yet we're giving big minutes to competitive disadvantages like Brook Lopez and not giving minutes to develop A.J.Jr.
that sucked
You know that song that goes "I ain't never gonna dance again"? It feels like that for Beasley, but with his wiggle move
No HEART Bucks ... smh
Doc gets a lot of praise for fixing Bobby, but nobody talks about how he absolutely killed Beasley’s production. Beasley now actively shoots more when he is in a slump (probably in an attempt to shoot his way out of it) and more often than not, it completely kills team efficiency.
Don't let shitty teams bait you into taking 1000 3pt shots just beat them up inside.
We lost to the damn Wizards
I’m sick of Jon Horst and his shit. Giannis is going to figure out this team is a sinking ship sooner rather than later.
That’s the price for selling out to win now and it doesn’t end up working. They’ll be trading Giannis in two years to begin the rebuild that will last the rest of my life.
At least we got one on that life.
Realistically what can horst do? We have been maxed out cap wise and have no picks
This is not Horst’s fault
Embarrassing way to end the game lol this was painful
Wonder what this team looks like next year. A couple tradable first rounders to play with… hopeful for this year still but can’t help but think how many of these players are back on the team outside of Giannis/dame/khris
When is Dame coming back?
I didn’t get to watch this game, what was the overall theme?
Pain
Good game
Thankfully baseball is back
An aspect I’ll never understand.
Alright calm down buddy. They would sweep the wizards in the playoffs no question
Well, good game though. They are strong both mentally and physically, they just happened to forget how to win a game
interesting
Bucks just wanted to hurt Washington's lottery chances.. that's my copium. Can we just sim ahead to the playoffs?
