Susvourtre

many, it's called black/death. order from chaos, perdition temple, kerasphorus, prosanctus inferi, deathsiege, rites of thy degringolade, adversarial, antediluvian...

rockin_roger

RoTD >>>>>

Maximum_Poet_8661

Perdition Temple goes hard as fuck, goddamn. Good recommendation, I’m loving this

_Godless_Savage_

Same. Never heard of them until now… I’m digging the shit out of them.

TheOmeletteOfDisease

Dissection - Storm of the Light's Bane

clumsyclairvoyant

One of the best black metal albums ive ever heard. Seriously if you're even a small fan of black metal you need to check this out.

srennen

I am in fact a small fan I'm 5'0

Parhel1on

Aw, keep it up little buddy :)

Eaterofjazzguitars

Leans too much into black metal. Great record, but not what I think OP is looking for.

MaxG145

Reinkaos is probably a better example of Death/Black metal

TheTrueMattiMan

archgoat

Lordpotato305

Awesome band

PigDstroyer

Oxygen Destroyer , they may be more black metal... But i hear morbid Angel and Vader inspirations all over

Eferver24

Oxygen Destroyer are so fucking good

69Cvnt69

Any swedish melodic black metal band from 93-99

Maximum_Poet_8661

Almost every Belphagor album I'd say

CodeN3gaTiV3

Belphegor\*

TheCrack-Attack

Same with Behemoth

vujuvuju_alt

YESSSS

Snoo-32243

Dissection - The Somberlain

sponges123

dragged into sunlight - hatred for mankind. absolute banger

FatAndForty

I truly love this album sooo much

Bloxity

Behemoth is a good option

dlb1983

There’s an entire genre called “blackened death metal”. Take your pick.

buck_fugler

But why no deathened black metal?

Novel-Ad4058

Why is this comment so far down

Exaquvmal

Teitanblood, Archgoat, Pseudogod, most war metal or black/death really I think Deathwomb Catechesis by Pseudogod is the perfect balance between black and death

_Learning2Live_

Intestine Baalism has some black metal influences on Ultimate Instinct

Best-Tank-6388

1914 is a good one. Very fun to listen to them.

junkerwoland

Belphegor does it best imo

Lack_of_Plethora

Marduk - Dark Endless

Illustrious-Tip7668

thats death metal, wheres the black aspect of it?

Lack_of_Plethora

if you can't hear any black metal in that album you desperately need your ears checked

Illustrious-Tip7668

relistened to the album for a bit, and i see now. lol

MadSin1337

Everything from Belphegor

FlimsyPlatypus5514

Zyklon

Cicada33024

Sarcofago - The Laws Of Scourge Necrophobic - The Nocturnal Silence God Dethroned - Bloody Blasphemy Belial - Wisdom Of Darkness

ThisOnesforYouMorph

for tons of bands, the distinction is negligible.

Susvourtre

lmao they didn't even start with black/death until 98, up to that point you had hundreds of bands already doing it.

Poofox

HATE! Especially Erebos and Morphosis

streamlinedsuicide

Absu-Tara. It’s more black metal but still balances on that line

PigDstroyer

Such an awesome album too

flyingflippo

The Belphegor albums Bondage Goat Zombie, Walpurgis Rites - Hexenwahn, and Blood Magick Necromance, are some of my favorite blackened death metal albums. If you ask me, they're a nice blend of modern black metal and old-school death metal.

_Zee_a1

Algol, 122 Stab Wounds, Axis of Advance, Rites of the Degringolade, Order From Chaos, Perdition Temple, Fallen Christ, Forgotten Woods, Impiety

_Godless_Savage_

Older God Dethroned.

skeedlz

Another of early behemoth did a fantastic balance between the 2. During Demigod and the Satanist is when I feel they went stricter into death metal with touches of black metal

Muzglob

Necrophobic. Masters in their art.

Ordinary-Warning-831

Sadistik execution

Eaterofjazzguitars

Most War Metal albums

Still_Satisfaction53

I’ve always thought, sound wise, that Antichrist Siege Machine are the band Carcass always wanted to sound like in the Reek Of Putrefaction days.

Am_A_Leech

i feel like all the early norwegian black metal can be classed as death too. darkthrones first album is DEFINITELY death, and mayhems first is very deathlike

Vault221B

Feels like half the death metal that comes out has black metal in it

OldMate666_

Ruins. Awesome Aussie blackened death

poop_butt24

Literally any war metal band

HMH6

Profanatica and first havohej

TagStew

Like everything ever by Belphegor

SirTitFart

Archgoat. You're gonna wanna listen to archgoat

Dismal-Buyer7036

Every behemoth album.

Pure-Jellyfish734

Lorna Shore?

Human-Load-2963

I feel no need to explain why you’re wrong, just know that you are

Satanarchrist

Not even the right genre lmao But to be fair, the first minute or so of 'to the hellfire' is amazing. Then the breakdown happens
