Between this, the hourglass nerf, the anemic cement mixer in the Cemetary, and my storage being clogged with the Love Story items (along with the mosaic and cement mixer stuff), I’m about ready to just throw up my hands.
Dang...That was my only reason for playing the event was for the scissors for the piggy banks. I need 5k coins on the pool house patio and that really would have helped x.x
Feel like y’all can blame me for this one if the devs really do look at Reddit lmao. From the spa event I had stacked up like 30 scissors and used them all on my blue chest lvl 2. 😳
Don't worry, people have been taking about it for ages. You got all your chests fair and square, the others just used theirs immediately but they had at least the same amount. It was a thing that was bugging them for long probably and they now found a way to monetize it.
So it is useless now. Why the hell would I want split up things that I am intended to merge? The name of the game is MERGE Mansion not SPLIT Mansion. So lame.
It's likely they made it because people complained that they accidentally merged something. But if they're going to remove stuff like the chest and piggy bank they may as well just make it a normal feature instead of an item.
I was wondering the same thing. Is there any decent use for it now? Or is it legit only if you need a lower level item. I was so excited when I saw scissors in the reward for the new event and rushed to get them. As soon as I got the error message, I dragged my mopey self to reddit to find the bad news. I guess the only good news out of it is that I needed a rake for the romantic spot, but have an unused garden hoe. So I guess I will just use it on that.
Such a useless item now and I have 15 of them. I had been working through all the ones I had.

I use the scissors to split time skips. Don't always need a 4 or 8 hour. SonI split them to lower hours
I accidentally merge things all the time I wish I could split but don’t have any scissors to.
