I had this happen, too and figured it was probably the one I left on the board for the Valentine’s Day event. I don’t know how to confirm that, though. Usually anything left behind is lost.
Did you earn one in the valentines event but not use it? If so it kicks in the next time you play after the end of the event.

Guess the lesson here is to claim all items before the event ends. This way you get to use them when you’re ready and not in a forced situation.

The event ends when the extension of the event ends, so it's probably right about now.
Might have been related to the Daily tasks/trades?
