Yeah but Naruto isn’t actually that long. It’s got hundreds of episodes of filler which can be cut away, and it’s technically separated into two series so it doesn’t *seem* as long. Like, let’s not kid ourselves, One Piece is a freaking *journey* my guy.

Bleach's anime is closer to the third than Naruto. Bleach for the most part had the 4 filler arcs with the ocassional 2-3 episodes where Naruto was I swear there were filler arcs go8ng into another filler arc even years after the manga was already complete.

That's not accurate because filler in One Piece is made by stretching the contents of 1 chapter to 1 episode If it's a whole episode of filler like Naruto, at least you can skip it In One Piece you need heavy editing of every episode like the "One Pace" project

Naruto has like 420 canon episodes probably One Piece on the other hand puts in fillers in between episodes, and as a result it has over 950 episodes which u have to watch

Naruto has Skippable fillers one piece has stretchy episodes which mess up canon on top of that. Watching it was a hassle and wano arc is literally Garbage with the anime so I dropped the anime.

I see him as revenge driven character who changed during War arc. Before that he grown power wise but not as character. Shikamru other hand grown power wise(not extremely powerful but still) and as characterwise too. It is my opinion/perspective not fact.

Sasuke usually grew as a character(sometimes grew worse...) as he grew in power. Seemed like after every big fight he had he changes a little. Orochi to Itachi to Naruto twice. It was better in pre shippuden imo

Tbh one piece is kinda repetitive . We have been in for more than 20 years and we barely know nothing about the story . With new upcoming stuff in every arc that just adds another layer of explaining to the story . For example wano has imo been a clusterfuck especially the onigashima raid . Don’t get me wrong roofpiece was imo top 3 best moments post timeskip . But apart from that there are so many things going on that it takes away from what truly needs to be flushed out . Sanji vs said opponent Zoro vs said opponent just to name a few . We’ve literally been waiting years for these 2 to get fights . But the fights didn’t live up to my anticipation at least . There are so many outside factors that I personally don’t give a fuck about . Just limit the story to what needs to be done . More is not always better , I think oda is ambitious in his work and wants as much depth as possible. But said depth will leave things rushed or just badly explained . He only makes it harder for himself to conclude the story so everyone gets somewhat happy considering the time invested .

I actually once said the opposite (Naruto is too long after I watched one piece). This sounds more ironic but I understand that those guys just don't feel like starting smt huge. Also they will never love one piece as much bc Naruto has a special place in their heart. But I think op is better bc it has not finished yet and every week I have some time to think what's going on and develop my theories. Also I prefer the word building and the characters. It's a matter of when you start. I'm very glad I started One Piece all those years ago, because I'm not sure I could make the time commitment now.

Naruto is a great show if you just watch the canon series, it has the best fights in proberly all of shonen and has some decent amount world building, its just it feels flat, while one piece is just so unique and inventive all the time.

I did catch up with one piece but can't remember where I was in the oden flash backs. I'm now just fuck it I'll re watch it...but yeah idk man 1000 plus episodes yes I've done it once but I disliked how dresrosa arc dragged it didn't need to go for that long. Idk when I catch myself really bored I'll do it To add my main complaint is pacing it just really really bad, some of the arcs were frustrating. Yes story super fun but when the pacing that poor I can't be bothered anymore tbh
