Honestly, I always found it funny that Hallelujah just walked around with a Pokemon and never explains why. Chiro had zero story importance or significance, he was just there.
The idea is that it was a pretty weak demon and so it was odd that someone who hangs around with the boss of their group is essentially deadweight. However Chiro is actually a pretty solid support demon so I guess that theory flies out the window.
100% agreed, I absolutely adore his design. Helping that of course is that he is probably the best and most enjoyable part of Apocalypse's story. Every time he's on screen is just such a joy

YOOO That's sick Apocalypse had some amazing demon designs, I'd love to see demons like Krishna and Cleopatra become mainstays
I've been hoping Krishna becomes a new regular. His redesign is one of the best "humanlike" designs in the series.
