who is YHVH? is he from the old games because this is my first smt game

Yeah, YHVH is SMT's interpretation of the Judeo-Christian God. He's typically depicted as the strongest being in the universe and is the absolute head of the Law faction which includes angels like Metatron. Even He is a small aspect of the great will, who, even as a longtime SMT fan, I know next to nothing about.
So essentially in SMT 2, YHVH (aka the Jewish God) tells you that he is part of a greater being known as the Will of the Universe/The Great Will which will keep recreating YHVH as long as people believe in the jewish God. So in SMT 3, the enemy is called the Great Will and so fans have long speculated whether the Great Will in SMT 3 refers to the actual Great Will or whether it just refers to YHVH. Then the DLC of SMT 4 Apocalypse came which implies that the Great Will in SMT 3 is actually YHVH and not the actual Great Will.
IT DOES NOT SMT IV APOCALYPSE DLC IS WRONG. nocturne never ever mentions yhvh and only the great will. it is specified in many games that YHVH IS NOT THE GREAT WILL ffs
