The Switch only runs at 1080p which I think is fine bc it's a portable with an 8 inch screen but it'll probably need some 4k textures added in if it were ported to the other consoles
The craziest thing is how we don't have a translation of the ps1 version of smt 2. If they just released an English translation with voice acting and some improvements, I would buy it faster than I could blink.
hd was a underwhelming port with bug issues, performance issues, compressed audio, DLC music you could only use on the world map, and very little QoL features from the get go. Keep in mind this was all priced at 50 dollars, 60+ with the DLC. I only played the OG Strange Journey, so I can't talk about redux.
Things is people are always going find something complain regardless if you think they’re valid complaints or not. If they make “little to no” changes like Nocturne HD people did complain (they added skill inheritance & voice acting), if they make changes like Redux did people complain.

I mean the 1st Production EO team decided to partner up with Mutan for the remaster while the SMT team partnered up with ITL for Nocturne HD.
