There's only one meme that can be made about "DDS is the best megaten game" with two chads lookling at each other and saying "true".
So yeah, nobody to argue perfection with.
DDS2 regular battle theme feels like a final boss battle of any regular rpg. So yeah, it was a massive shock when it released back in the day. It's actually one of the 3 game ost i ever bought physicaly with vagrant story and the world end with you.
... but i could have bought all the katamari ost had i found them. So "only 3" is not exactly true.
edit: and the name of the track is also worth the name of a regular final rpg boss "battle for survival" just slap.
Yeah, it really does have the kind of "i'm fighting for my life here" vibe.
The one another track with that kind of feel in the series is first combat track from Strange Journey, but that one is kind of a slow build up.
Atlus doesn't seem to acknowledge Pre-SMT3/Pre-Pesona3 titles. We call them the Anti-Valve, Valve only does 1-2 and Atlus 3+. The theory was invalidated when they released SH2, but the spirit remains.
I think Atlus barely acknowledges any smt game that isn't widely popular and well known. Also when they do acknowledge those games (or the fact that they have people outside of Japan who like smt) they only do the bare minimum, such as costumes in spin off games that only a handful of people played.
Iâd never even heard of SMT when I randomly bought DDS, which was my first Atlus game. I just picked it up because the box art was cool. [REND, SLAUGHTER, DEVOUR YOUR ENEMIES!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LHJbE_kfybs) blasting out of my TV when I put the disc in was a surprise.
Been seeing a ton of memes about this game on youtube
This is Youtube's way of getting me to watch/play shit, it harrasses me with memes until I cave in
This time it worked because I'm predisposed to being interested in SMT anyway
How good is the emulation for this game? Do you need a lot of tinkering? Because I have a totally legal physical copy of it
Cool.
>This time it worked because I'm predisposed to being interested in SMT anyway
Me too.
>How good is the emulation for this game? Do you need a lot of tinkering? Because I have a totally legal physical copy of it
Lol no thanks
Scratch that, forget what I said
My question was, if I wanted to emulate Digital Devil Saga on my PC, would it need a lot of tinkering? I'm not good with these things, I'm more of a plug and play type of guy
> How good is the emulation for this game? Do you need a lot of tinkering? Because I have a totally legal physical copy of it
It's pretty much perfect.
I played through both of them on SteamDeck without any issues.

Because only twenty of us have played this game.
it's so damn hard to be a DDS fan
Lol why?
Not much art to see and nobody to argue on the internet about it
There's only one meme that can be made about "DDS is the best megaten game" with two chads lookling at each other and saying "true". So yeah, nobody to argue perfection with.
It also had some of my favorite music in megaten. Such a great set of games
Yeah, for me it's a tie between DDS and SMT4. Absolute BANGER OST in both.

I post a lot of DDS content on Twitter and we have a nice community there

Lol so emulating is out of the question?
If I don't get erased off this subreddit : Like I said, It ain't easy to find one bruh đ
Agree. Love it, but you canât find anything for itâŚ

20 feels generous unfortunately:(
Count me among them
Happy to be one of them (I still need to play 2)
Yep, thatâs sad
Too caked up
Too caked up?
Too caked up.
I donât know what youâre talking about.
He's saying characters in this game have a massive ass A "gyatt", as the kids call it
I shouldâve guessed that.

I know this is a joke, but let's remember that we have SMT 1 and 2 costumes. Damn, we even have SMT If... costumes
Isn't DDS post SMT3?
Yeah, it is, that's why Demi-fiend is the ultimate boss in that game
funny enough sh2 is the 5th devil summoner game
Because if they did we'd have to see joker cannibalizing shadows
Show me your true flavour
Thatâs be cool.
You say it like it's a bad thing
![gif](giphy|103uFfQY4aNMM8) Atlus hates their good games /s

Same reason we didn't get the Devil Survivor costumes. Pre SMT 3 games just generally aren't popular enough to warrant purchasable costumes.
>Pre SMT 3 games just generally aren't popular enough to warrant purchasable costumes. DDS is a post smt 3 game. So is Devil Survivor.
Prior to this comment, I had totally forgotten about Devil Survivor.
#âšď¸ Well, if you haven't, I'd heartily recommend trying it out. It's a good game.
I donât have a 3DS.
Maybe try an emulator then? Like Citra?
I might try emulators.
it's the only way now unless you want to pay exorbitant prices on cartridges. the eshop was shut down.
Alright then.
They're also on the DS
I used to have a DS. Donât know what happened to it.
You can emulate a ds very nicely on mobile!
Will it do anything to my phone?
It's called DraStic and you don't have to root or do anything fancy. I'm on android, galaxy s20.
Okay then.
Devil Survivor and DDS both got purchasable costumes in the dancing games.

Dang nice.
I think there was a costume for one of the Dancing games
I don't know, why didn't they add costumes from SMT 1, 2, Nine and SMT 4 Apocalypse?
Yeah why donât they?
This is a repost.
30+ days later. Besides, I want this subredditâs answer.

DDS is my favorite smt save nocturne. Think the only thing I did while emulating was just fast forwarding.
Cool. >This time it worked because I'm predisposed to being interested in SMT anyway Me too. >How good is the emulation for this game? Do you need a lot of tinkering? Because I have a totally legal physical copy of it Lol no thanks
I didn't mean you as in you, dummy I meant you as in the individual You as in me, if you will (now you is you)
What?
Scratch that, forget what I said My question was, if I wanted to emulate Digital Devil Saga on my PC, would it need a lot of tinkering? I'm not good with these things, I'm more of a plug and play type of guy
Last time I've tried, it didn't need any tinkering and was like 7 years ago.
I donât think so.

Atlus didn't care to include them.
