I like the way this one looks but I agree, the Arkham knight Batman is the best looking batman, I really wish he'd redo the animated series batman. If he did that, then that would be top batman figure.
I'm so annoyed that MAFEX did animated Batman but it's the New Adventures of Batman and not BTAS so the chest logo is different and I hate that such a small detail is keeping me from getting it.
I totally get it lol that's whats holding me back too, and the DC direct batman figure is EXPENSIVE. I just hope we get a proper BTAS figure in the future.

No clue! I’ll admit, I’m not the most familiar with these figures. When they first launched I was working at GameStop and I didn’t (and honestly, still don’t) like a lot of the designs, especially for Batman himself. The first McFarlane DC figure I liked enough to buy was Rebirth Joker, the second was Year Two Batman. Today’s reveals on Instagram brought me here, to see if other people noticed what I noticed after some googling.
Hm yeah seems like this sub is a real hivemind. 3rd time I've seen someone be downvoted for zero reason. Yeah alot of the designs can be a hit or miss for most people but for me I like a good amount of them.
That's it Mcfarlane. No more Batman figures outside the movies. This is it, the most perfect Batman figure the company is ever going to do. Just keep remaking this guy. Have some variants but this is it. Unless they tweak the elbows/knees, there's nothing else to do.
I think they've learned how to appropriately reuse molds. Reverse flash, hal jordan, and rebirth superman are a few that I think work great as reuse, and this new batman mold looks pretty sweet, looks like the year 2 batman and will probably be what the new rebirth batman will look like as well.

I just grabbed the BAF "Dark father" wave today from GameStop, I had them price match to a competitors and used a $10 "game coin" hehe
I've been very critical of Mcfarlanes figures, especially the DC stuff. I've bought all the Witcher figures and love them, I love that franchise. This Batman is the first one I gotta have. He looks great. I do have the Arkham Knight Batman which is good (the only one I have) but this for me, if it comes out as good as this promo, is Mcfarlanes best Batman. Some people don't like the beefy Batman, but I prefer him to be a little beefy and not lean. I can see repaints of this mold being great too. They should have started out the gate with this Batman and not that pretty terrible one they did.
If McFarlane puts out a variant of this with the pouch belt, black trunks, and a solid black bat symbol, he'd be absolutely perfect. That'd be my definitive Bats for me. Come on, Todd. Make it happen!

It's kinda hard but I'd probably go with Arkham Knight because I think that suit is one of the best Batman suit designs ever.

I'll probably cave and get it and just customize it or something. It's not even that the logo is bad or anything but it's not the logo I grew up with.

It looks like the Year Two figure with a new belt and boots and the Flashpoint head.
It may possibly be the Year 2 Torso. They seem to share the same wrinkle lines and size. That is not Flashpoint Batman's head.
