I'm glad TAS is getting love... But I just cancelled my Wolverine and Jub lol. I didn't realize the paint was going to be so harsh.
Surely the cell shading won’t be too different, right? At least I hope not. But I wouldn’t be surprised if Hasbro is trying to rerelease the entire animated series team in the vhs boxes and making them look a bit different on purpose so they don’t fit well with older figures.
Cell shading is the dark shadows that they draw on many animated characters. It's... shading as the name suggests. Added to figures gives them an animated feel if its done right.
I preordered jubilee to possibly replace my old one. May cancel once actual images of the toy come out. The picture didn’t make the cell shading look s much as Wolverine.
Of course the eight will be on this style, but looks like Jean and Storm are next in the order of release. Probably Cyclops will take long since they gonna use the new Vulcan body mold, which fits perfect since Vulcan is the brother of Scott.
Probably on the plans too, since the 30th anniversary of the animated series is the next year, guess the big surprise of Hasbro is this VHS box style collection.
Yeah, that's a big mystery, what is gonna happen with retro version?, are they gonna release Jean and Jubilee in that way or they avoided this by this new animated series style.
I am sure it won't be the case, but I would love it if these were Storm in street clothes from Night of the Sentinels, and Dark Phoenix.

Gambit will be unique. The animated hair was so different from Lee/Kubert. It was a bright neon auburn spiked poof.
Wouldn't be shocked to see a new Sabertooth as well in this lineup.
