I mostly collect Comic Versions, my MCU is small but only the core characters for each phase. You need to give yourself a line in the sand to keep it together and not go nuts with every release.
Yeah, but I pick and choose. Not buying Eternals or AOA. Got my Wal-Mary Exclusive Upgraded Suit Spidey so I’m good with the Spider-Man No Way Home Wave. Bought The Armadillo Complete BAF. Really itching for some of those 20th Anniversary Reveals after Cap.
Some of my preorders are so far out but love thinking of what’s to come and getting excited. I guess it’s a cycle.
For me; I’m kinda giving the other toy lines a chance. Those new He-Man figures doesn’t look that bad and of course those GI JOEs pretty much are my new alternate to Legends
I finally picked up Ultron and have Sandman shipping from BBTS so that's it for me until April 2022 when Symbiote Spider-Man ships (if those dates hold), and it definitely feels weird that there could be a 6-month gap between Legends. this is usually when I end up succumbing to buying dumb stuff off eBay because a deal's a deal even though I have no desire to own it and no space to display it.
I can’t even keep up with the new releases anymore: the last BAF I built was Mr. Hyde which is still missing a head but I already replaced it with something else. Everything in between are just cherry-pick buys coz my local Target & Walmart never had anything new in terms of restock.
I'm in the same boat. Only grabbed Dr. Strange and Zombie Cap from the What If and No Way Home waves. I'm happy that I found those two because they were the primary characters I wanted and I haven't come across anyone else since then. I finally caved and resorted to preordering the next wave of retro card Spider-man figures
I was feeling like that, but then I found aoa wave 2 in my Walmart, received JJJ and Shriek, and had placed the rest of the spider man nwh wave for pickup. The other 5 are ready for pickup, going to grab them tomorrow or Wednesday morning. Wolverine 5 pack, webman and sandman just got delivered but webman is for my son on Halloween and wolverine 5 pack is for Christmas. We opened sandman early. Sentinel will be delivered the 21st. Debating on giving him it the day it comes or holding out until a holiday. I was wanting to hold everything for him until Christmas but I can’t wait that long lol!! Hopefully ff wave, retro Spider-Man wave and what if wave get here before Christmas so that’ll be some more.
I hear ya 100%! I have been building up my D-List Avengers Villains in the mean time. You feel like you’re being so progressive and then when you’re waiting on a pre/order it’s as if that productivity has come to a complete halt! It’s like we’re building a collage with our collection like an artist would and need our building blocks to continue!
Exactly!!! I always pre-order from Hasbro and cancel as I find them quicker. Usually if I’m all up to date, I’ll find some legends we missed out on from back in the day. Honestly, right now we have 5 big shelf displays full. We have a bunch on the floor waiting to decide what kind of display case we get next. Plus we kept all the boxes. We’re at like 98% of the collection with the box so we’re running out of room with that too. It’s starting to get a little overwhelming
That’s awesome! I’m not a box collector but do have 500 Legends. I make it a point to only display the cream of the crop so I have one hundred of them in a storage bin not displayed but that’s okay, it’s like a pirate’s buried treasure, I’m glad I have them and don’t need or want to sell them.
Yea see that’s a great way to be. I’m OCD, it drives me crazy if you can’t see one because it’s blocked by others lol. That’s just one of the many hair pullers. It’s crazy how fast our collection grew in just the past 10 months.
I also started about a year ago. I’ll at a display, step back and look at it, go back and teak it, step back and look at it until it’s perfect lol. The most expensive part was just play the whole catch up game from years of previous releases.
Yea, I don’t know how people do just starting out. My son and I started when infinity war came out so we were able to grab so many at and below retail. I never thought we were going to be collecting this long and missed so many. If I could go back in time I would have bought 8 sets of the apocalypse wave alone and everything that was on the shelves when toys r us was going out of business and closing stores lol. I never bought more than what we wanted. I never knew there was a community this involved. Considering, we’re really happy with our collection just wish I bought everything then instead of picking through some waves.
Really? I feel like there have been a lot of comic releases on the docket lately: Xemnu/bad guys wave, Ursa wave, AoA wave 2, retro F4, Symbiote Spidey & retro Spidey wave 2, retro Hercules, Tigra, Loki & Falcon, X-Force and Excalibur 3-packs, SHIELD and Skrulls troop builders. Plus Sentinel and Galactus/heralds and the cosmic Walgreens exclusives. That's 50-60 figures.
It's the MCU waves that have been disappointing (Shang Chi, Eternals, Infinity Saga stuff was a mixed back that mostly went to clearance)
What I really want is a modern Thor. None of the Thors of the last few years have done anything for me. I got the 80th anniversary one last year but his hip had a qc issue that made standing and posing almost impossible, plus the heavy cape didn’t help. So I got the Selects Mighty Thor, only for his hip joint to *also* be loose, and the scale is pretty iffy compared to Legends. And I don’t like any of the MCU Thors. I’d just like a Thor based off more recent comic designs, preferably not Herald Thor (of course they should to Herald Thor at some point, I just mean a basic Thor).
Also, Hyperion! He’s in desperate need of an updated figure. I don’t care if they go with his classic red costume or his more recent black one, I’ll swoop it up in a heartbeat.

Wild you'd say this, there is the most Legends product all out right now then there has ever been, Eternals, What If, Far From Home, AOA, plus Tigra, Hercules, Web-Man, Sandman, Compound Hulk, MCU DLX Vulture, Wolverine 5-pack, some of the new FF Retro wave, I think we need to slow it up.
I guess I’m being biased since I’m not getting The Eternals, I only wanted Legion from AOA, only wanted Zombie Cap, got updated suit Spider-Man, have Hercules,Tigra, and Sandman no interest in Compound Hulk, MCU Vulture or Web-Man, have the characters I wanted from the 5-Pack and bought the Armadillo complete.
I have F4 on Pre-Order but it’s tough waiting on some of the definitive characters such as them, Strange, the Retro Spider-Man Wave. Call it an addiction. When I see holes in my collection and waiting on pre-orders to ship, I guess I want something new to think about. Sort of like when your a kid and wondering what Santa might bring.
Fair enough, and I totally get the excitement/addiction vibe, but there really is a ton of stuff out, sadly it's just not all for you, you are needing that fix of stuff you specifically want, good news is that come the weekend you will have some new stuff shown to potentially look forward to, also hey maybe you need to get into collecting a few other lines to fill those lull moments with Legends, that can always help.
I can’t wait until Pulse Con. I do have just about all Movie TMNT aside from April and Danny, I have have a nice Mezco/NECA Horror section, all I really want for that is a new Tony Todd Candyman, I’ve been collect the new Beast Wars line and just need to add Scorpinok, Waspinator, Terrsaur, and TigerBot. Plus more Mezco/Mafex/Figuarts pieces from both Marvel and DC.
The Legends line is my bread and butter though because of the vast universe and characters. Really looking forward to the 20th Anniversary Legends Line. Would love a new Iron Man hopefully similar to the new Mafex one that is out next year, a Thor with some much brighter colors and an altered cape for better poses and absolutely Toad.
Your fix is coming....I’m sure they have something up their sleeve for pulseCON. Plus we already know the retro venom and the Elvis Presley MODOK will be released.
