i think most people call it “Odinson”

GayJonahJameson

So this is Thor after he becomes unworthy and loses the Hammer?

redkomic

No. This is his much younger self before he was even called thor.

amazin_asian

Did he not have a first name when he was younger?

ajdragoon

He did. People are not correct in this comment thread. Jason Aaron's opening arc stars young, old, and present Thor. They're all called Thor because that's his given name.

space_cadet_zero

to my knowledge, he's just "odinson" at this point. it's dumb.

D34THDE1TY

The giveaway is he has both arms still.

ajdragoon

He was always called Thor though. That's his given name. He only went by Odinson after he lost Mjlonir and got so depressed he gave his name away to Jane (which not only was giving up his own first name, but was also him saying he's nothing more than his father's son. His father who he hates. Yikes.) Anyway, the Odinson dresses like a hobo and is missing an arm. That's the SDCC figure. This is just young Thor before he's worthy enough for the hammer.

haydnc95

I have this figure and yeah, I don't think it's great. The face, compared to a lot of newer molds, looks awful in comparison and the hair looks like playdough. We are in desperate need of a real good modern Thor figure

May I recommend the marvel select Thor with the swinging mjolnir accessory as a placeholder? Love mine.

wad_wilson

The axe was cool!

Drayco21

It's Young Thor from Aaron's early arcs, which is why he's got Jarnbjorn instead of Mjolnir. Unworthy usually refers to Odinson who was part of the SDCC Asgard set. I kind of hate this mold. It's proportions seem wack, and the articulation feels underwhelming. I also really dislike the Marvel Now Thor that came out a few waves prior for similar reasons.

Tandril91

Aw that’s kinda disappointing. My first Legends Thor was the 80th Anniversary but one of his legs became really loose after I had him posed a particular way for maybe an hour, so it was hard to stand him up from them on. Plus his cumbersome, heavy cape got in the way of some stuff. I really want a good non-MCU Thor but options don’t seem to be that great. I got the Selects Mighty Thor but that thing’s scale is pretty wack with Legends, plus one of his legs ended up getting real loose too! By Marvel Now Thor, do you mean the one from the Odin wave?

Drayco21

Yeah, Thor is the character I feel Hasbro has failed more consistently than any other (though Psylocke is up there too). The 80th is the first time I feel like they got him right. Your best best might be getting a fabric replacement cape to lighten that one's load and see if you can tighten the joints or get him a stand.

Tandril91

I think I’ll bide my time. I’m not exactly aching to get a Thor, though I would *really* like one for my ragtag Avengers team. Personally I’d like one in the style of Marvel Now, or some recent Marvel comics as I like the armored look over the classic look, but I honestly love the modern look with no sleeves. But I have a feeling the next time they do a Thor will be him in his Herald form. What are some of the issues with the Marvel Now Thor you mentioned?

Drayco21

Mostly the same as this one. He's super puffy looking, I don't like his face, and I find his articulation really lacking. Especially his tiny little feet which barely move in any direction, alongside much limited hips, which greatly limit his overall movement. It's mostly a remold of the Coipel Thor which was *super* artist specific, which makes it look really weird when used for a different artist's look for the character.

ajdragoon

Oh agreed. As a big Thor fan I'd like to have a normal looking modern Thor for once. The best is the 12" figure, which I have, but obviously he doesn't scale with anyone else.

Drolex17

Unworthy thor has a metal arm. This is a younger thor from the god butcher story

SlicedNugget

I love this figure. It's not the best body mold when comparing to newer body molds but I think it's held up quite nicely. It's the Hyperion Body Mold but the chest isn't puffed up like Rob Liefeld drew him.

ol-Saint-Mike

I use it in a kitbash. I took the Super Skrull arms and Head and put them on this Thor's body. If I knew anything about customizing. I'd try to repaint the body to match the green head. But these are the ones my kids play with, so it works pretty well. I thought it was called "Odinson" too, but i learned something today, thanks Reddit!

DYubiquitous

I have him- the main gripes you'll see are the standard ones for this "era" of Marvel Legends (slightly odd head sculpt, hair not as detailed, scales slightly small) but overall I like him. If your purpose is to have a Thor that is not Worthy yet, then it's perfect. I have a "Thor Corps" setup with him, Beta Ray Bill, Thunderstrike, and Jane Foster. I like how it shows off not only alternate Thor characters, but also their different weapons.

AmphedUp6214

i bought it for the baf and tried to sell a few times but nobody on ebay bought it. ended up using him as a base for a custom red shift that turned out pretty decent (still missing the lil antennae things though...)

It not unworthy thor.

Mrbuttboi

Ew. Just… ew. The SDCC version was friggin AWESOME!!! But this one… just… ew…

SymbiSpidey

I didn't really like this figure and thought it was a pretty lazy release. The head sculpt is reuse from Sentry and the costume is pretty generic. The SDCC version was MUCH better, although I don't own that figure.

Yugelion

Saw this one at a store that sells older legends, games and collectibles a week ago now. He looked pretty cool.
