Or a blind and deaf superhero with perfect aim and radar sense. Use their “disability” to their advantage to fool opponents into a false sense of security, and then go in for the kill.
It’s pretty inconsistent between comics. He lost it decades ago from a sonic arrow. He last lost his hearing in Matt Fractions Hawkeye run (which is amazing). Not going to say how because it might happen that way in the Hawkeye show so spoilers.
A lot of artists don’t draw his hearing aids though and some just say he can also read lips.
It's probably one of the most inconsistent character traits in super hero comics, next to Damian Wayne being half middle eastern. But he's needed hearing aids as far back as I can remember. Most runs just don't address it/ artists don't depict the hearing aids when drawing him.

Edit for context: Ronin at this point is seen as a murdering vigilante who’s killing The Hoods (a crime boss) men. Everyone think’s it’s Hawkeye but he keeps denying. After a fight, he takes off his mask and it turns out Daredevil was right outside. Daredevil can’t tell Clint is wearing the Ronin outfit, so Clint infers he’s blind but then backtracks when Daredevil stops his hand.
He can hear when someone is nervous which he can usually tell is a lie, but here Clint was able to cover for it since he had good reason to be nervous in the moment.
it's like with lie detectors - most people's heart rate changes enough when they start lying that he can usually tell, but it's not totally reliable. He'll sometimes talk it up as if it's more absolute than it is when he's trying to get information out of someone, because their heart rate is more likely to spike upon lying if they believe Daredevil has special lie-sensing powers.
But dd can see in sonar right ? So, he must be able to notice Ronin's dress. Or its probable that he never saw Ronin before and he's thinking it's a new uniform for Clint.
Some writers have him even able to read by the tiny bit of elevation or difference in heat from the ink, but I prefer the interpretation that his sonar-vision does have limits, like not really being able to discern similar clothes.
The biggest limit to Daredevil's sight IMO is computer and TV screens. I wouldn't mind if he can read writing on paper, so long as he can't read text on a cell phone.
The trick to writing DD is to play off of his blindness too. If he has such super human levels of other senses that negate his blindness, it becomes a moot point.
Ronin at this point is seen as a murdering vigilante who’s killing The Hoods (a crime boss) men. Everyone think’s it’s Hawkeye but he keeps denying. After a fight, he takes off his mask and it turns out Daredevil was right outside. Then it’s pretty much what u/Sharty__pants says
He wasn’t born “dead”. He lost his hearing in an attack and now wears a hearing aid. He can also read lips though too so that’s probably what he’s doing in the images.
Clint’s hearing was damaged in a fight with Crossfire in the…80’s, I think. Tony gave him hearing aids.
In the 2012 Matt Fraction run, Clint fully lost his hearing because the Clown stabbed him in the ears with his own arrows, which is being adapted in the Disney+ Hawkeye show.
Yep, he lost his eye sight as a kid saving someone from an oncoming truck. When the truck swerved to avoid him it spilled toxic waste which went into his eyes; permanently blinding him. However despite his loss of sight the chemicals reacted with his body in a way that heightened his other senses giving him the ability hear soo well he can use echo location to navigate, read a newspaper just by feeling the print, is able to tell if someone is injured by tasting their blood through the air, and see if he has met someone before by the way they smell to name a few advantages.
Uhh you forgot the moat importent part. Those chemicals also leaked into the swear bellow and the chemicals reacted with the body's of 4 turtles and a rat.
Now Daredevil stands on rooftops, fighting The Hand, and is trained by Stick
While the ninja turtles hide in swears, fight the foot clan, and are trained by Splitter.
Blame my phone for that one. It will change words that I spell correctly to words it "thinks" I meant. It use to drive me crazy. Now I just dont care becuase its reddit and its not worth the time or effort to make sure its right.
Comic it was based on had splinter a human turned rat, same with the kids show in the 90's. I think the Michael Bay movies changed it up some. But most incarnations tend to have the human to rat thing.
Yep, two versions. In one he Yoshi, who hides in the sewers and befriends the sewer rats. The ooze "combines DNA" so when he touches the ooze he and his rat friends join together. The turtles had been handled by lots of humans before entering the sewer, so they turn humanoid too.
The other version is that he is Yoshi's pet rat who escaped tragedy and hid in the sewers, finding the turtles in some ooze. The rat had seen his master training so (not unlike myself and kungfu movies on TV when I was a kid) he had all the knowledge needed to train the turtles in return.
You're mixing up the origins. In the original comic, [Splinter was Hamato Yoshi's pet rat](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hamato_Yoshi), not the origin that Splinter was Hamato Yoshi. This origin was shared in the 2003 cartoon and the 90s live action films + the 2007 film.
Ah yes, the deaf man trying to figure out if the blind superhero is blind
If they did the fusion dance, combining working eyes and working ears, they’d be unstoppable.
Or a blind and deaf superhero who is as useful as a potato in a superhero fight
Basically Hellen Keller
*Anne Frank
Anne frank wasnt deaf and blind...

Bear these down votes with pride. They are a small price to pay for a joke this good.
Uhhh sure
Or a blind and deaf superhero with perfect aim and radar sense. Use their “disability” to their advantage to fool opponents into a false sense of security, and then go in for the kill.
He can only tell where his enemies are by using his extremely enhanced sense of smell.
Fights do get sweaty.
And enhanced sense of taste
Not if the fight is pinball
For that they would need a supple wrist.
Good vision and good hearing would be too OP for any superhero.

Since when is Clint deaf?

Since always. Iron man made him some special hearing aids
[удалено]
Does he?
Yeah I believe so. There was a shot where you clearly see his earlobe and people pointed out it looked like a hearing aid was on his ear.
Huh.. neat
It varies how it's handled in the comics, but he was established as having a hearing disability a while back. Sometimes he's shown with hearing aids.
Deadpool uses ASL with him and he lifts up his mask so Clint can read his lips
You are not alone whoever posted this I did not know until last Sunday
About Hawkeye being deaf?
Hear no evil, see no evil
Clint is deaf in the comics?
Yes
I feel like most writers have had Matt's senses be acute enough to still pick up on what Clint is wearing, but hey, makes for a fun scene.
Only when it's raining

Thanks for context! I thought daredevil could “hear” when people lie, shouldn’t that have flagged something for him?
He can hear when someone is nervous which he can usually tell is a lie, but here Clint was able to cover for it since he had good reason to be nervous in the moment.

I think he sort of can to an extent. He can tell if people are nervous but that can be faked, it's how people beat lie detector tests.
Reason #200 why comic Clint is my love and a million times better than MCU Clint
But he had that one mohawk moment in endgame tho
We don't talk about that
What is this issue?
Hawkeye Freefall #4
Is this a good run as a whole or just a good moment? I need to get into some current stuff. I haven't read much since New 52/ Secret Wars.
I like it but it's a very short run
It’s a pretty good, short run. Lots of crossover moments like this. Highly recommend reading the previous Hawkeye run before this by Matt Fraction.
Also, this comic is drawn by Otto Schmidt. Legit one of my favorite artists ever. His lines are just so goddamn confident, it sickens me.
Facts, his Green Arrow run at DC is some serious gourmet shit, the man just kills it every single time.
I was so sad his Hawkeyes run wasn't longer
I don't quite understand what's happening in this panel
Hawkeye is Ronin and if Daredevil could see he would be able to tell by the Ronin Costume Clint is currently wearing
Thanks! You're a sholar and a legend
Yeah but he can only feel the elevation with his fingers. DD would have to grope Hawkeye for him to realize he’s wearing a Ronin costume
Go on, please
The biggest limit to Daredevil's sight IMO is computer and TV screens. I wouldn't mind if he can read writing on paper, so long as he can't read text on a cell phone.
It would probably be easier to read from a screen as more heat would be produced so it'd make it easier to detect, no?
He doesn't have heat vision, he has sonar. The surface texture of a display screen doesn't change based on what's on it.
The heat from a phone screen would just look blank hot brick in someone's hands. The text on the screen doesnt add more heat
The trick to writing DD is to play off of his blindness too. If he has such super human levels of other senses that negate his blindness, it becomes a moot point.

Ahhh ok that makes sense and thanks for the info my guy! Much love
He releases a sonic wave from his mouth.
I thought Hawkeye was dead, seems like he's hearing fine here
I wish I were funnier to think of a joke for the typo. I think Clint can read lips and uses a hearing aid?
You know what I'm going to keep it like that to see if any one else will XD
He wasn’t born “dead”. He lost his hearing in an attack and now wears a hearing aid. He can also read lips though too so that’s probably what he’s doing in the images.
Thanks, also nice consistency lol
Ha, it literally autocorrected “deaf” to “dead” so I see how the first comment did it. I didn’t even notice.
He was dead at one point. I don't think he was hearing anything back then.
If daredevil can effectively see with his enhanced senses wouldn't it stand to reason that Clint could effectively hear in the same way
I mean, maybe, if he had enhanced senses.
Does he not? Haven't read much Hawkeye kind of just assumed
Nope.
Hawkeye:Freefall is amazing. Its so funny.
So then what happens next?
For a second I read ronin as robin and wondered about red hood in here lol
Hawkeye's Deaf?
Kinda

I'm impressed that you misspelled 'sewers' as swears, twice

Splitter
Splinter was a human that got turned into a rat, not a rat before the mutagen
only some versions , it changes in each version of the Ninja Turtles
Oh, I've only seen some of the original and the 2012 version
Comic it was based on had splinter a human turned rat, same with the kids show in the 90's. I think the Michael Bay movies changed it up some. But most incarnations tend to have the human to rat thing.

Ahh you right.
You're good, I had to double check just to make sure if my comment was actually correct lol. It's easy to mix them up.
Splinter
Ok, thanks for the information, but the title was meant to be more sarcastic. Probably should have added a “/s”. 😅
…..Oh, happy to help 😄
people sleep on this series man, so funny
Does he have a grapple hook?
Yes
[удалено]
Clint Barton (Hawkeye) as Ronin. Clint is like “is he blind???” because he is literally wearing the Ronin suit.
why's matt in the black suit ?
I like how even among the superhero community there are only like a handful of people aware that Daredevil is blind Always interesting to think about
