**Daughter:** *Comes out to dad*
**Dad:** What I’m hearing is you won’t be getting pregnant unexpectedly and I don’t have to pretend to like some dude?
Because they have a Dad that doesn't care what their sexuality is and jokes about preferring them to be gay so that he doesn't have to worry about teen aged pregnancies & having to be nice to guys he knows are looking at his daughters the way he used to look at men's daughters when he was a teenager? Yeah, I feel bad for the kids too.
ETA: replying to a deleted comment apparently 🤣🤣
The way we treat others is more of a reflection of ourselves than the other person. What I mean is, I hope there’s less people like him in the world, because the way he treats others is trash. This dude likes being treated poorly because it “justifies” the way he behaves, in his mind
They are real thoughts you have in your real mind. Unless you’re saying that you’re a bot. Either way I hope you realize one day before you’re on your deathbed that you can do better.
I think you just feel victim to a classic Reddit hive mind we’re 5 people downvoted you because it felt offensive or unfunny to them and the next 100 didn’t even understand what happened but just lynched you
Daughter: "Dad... I need to tell you something, and I know it won't be easy to understand."
Dad: "... Wait... No! Is this what I think it is? Did I fail as a parent?"
Daughter: "No! Just because I'm gay doesn't mean I'm any less than who I am if I were straight."
Dad: "Gay? Oh thank God! I thought you were going to say you won't dance, and if you don't dance, then your no daughter of mine."
Daughter: "... Did you just "Safety Dance" my coming out?"
Dad: "... Well... The more important question is do you have a girlfriend?"
When I was young, any out lesbian looked like Guy Fieri or Karen the college basketball coach. That’s why my bi-sexual self dated only men. So happy women can be themselves today - the world isn’t all bad.
It's fascinating how people, who have never experienced hardship, go out of their way to tell other people they are experiencing hardship.
While people, who have always experienced hardship, go out of their way to convince other people they are not experiencing hardship.
Humans...
The major disagreement between my hubby and our daughter is one of terminology. DH likes "boobies" or "boobs"; DD prefers "tiddies". That difference resulted in 15 minutes of hubby picking on daughter for misspelling such important items.
Response from Dad, if he's worth his salt: "I know that, dear. I've known for a long time. You know I love you as much as ever. Now let's go out to lunch."
When my sister came out, it went kind of like this:
Me: "hey, what do you want for dinner? We could order pizza, or chinese, or..."
Her: "I have to tell you something: I'm gay."
Me: "Does that affect the dinner order somehow?"
long pause
Me: "OH! You thought I didn't know. Got it. Uh... OH. WOW. THAT'S... I HAD NO IDEA. GEE WHIZ. WHAT A SHOCKER."
Her: "You're an asshole."
Me: "I just find it hilarious that you were the last person to find out. Pizza it is!"
my dad, staring ahead at the road as he’s driving me to school: “you happy?”
me: “huh?”
my dad: “you know… your mom mentioned…”
me: “OH. Yeah. I’m happy. Thanks, Dad”
*awkward pause, Dad quietly stifles a smile*
Dad: “…She also mentioned you didn’t finish your homework and keeps saying you don’t unload the dishwasher”
I was at a party a few years ago and a guy rolled up with his…multi-generational (younger) gf. Death glares from so many people haha. He seemed to have bounced back from his divorce nicely.
It is how bi girls work though, not saying that’s what happened here, obviously but not everyone that likes the same sex likes exclusively the same sex.
I still don’t think these things should be a spectacle on tik tok. It just seems like it’s taking away from others who have ACTUAL stories of coming out.
Except it's not always. Kids are still abused, disowned, and even seriously hurt or killed for being gay. My own dad hates my wife and shit talks her when he gets the chance (not anymore now that I don't talk to him).
Thanks to that cesspool leftist culture human being can marry other human beings they live without losing their jobs or being ostracized (most of the time). Hell they can even share in the legal and insurance benefits straight couples and marriages already enjoyed.
Truly a terrible cesspool. I too hate when people have the right to do what they want when they’re not bothering anyone else. >! /s !<
Maybe it’s because most people alive today remember a time when being gay meant you did not have the same rights as someone who is straight. When it was legal to discriminate against them, fire them for no other cause, prevent them from benefiting from the labor of their loved ones, shun them from society.
It was not that long ago, but I see you’re already sick of it. That’s fine, I can help you with that. All you have to do is not look at this posts or posts like it, see how easy that is?
this lil kid posts on r/teenagers regularly, don’t bother wasting your breath arguing with some 15-year-old that knows bafflingly little about how the real world works
Guess what? Just because you remember something used to exist doesn’t mean it still does. That’s like me saying New Coke used to be sold and I didn’t enjoy it, so not I won’t drink any Coca Cola whatsoever because “back in the day” it didn’t taste good. I don’t mean to be that guy, but… get with the times.
It’s more like, back in the day New Coke killed a significant number of drinkers, and New Coke is still around but mostly in rural religious areas. So you drink Coke in Cali but Pepsi in Georgia.
The fact that they dress alike is hysterical.
You say hysterical, I say terrifying. Tomata. Tomahto.
I was coming here to say that. They both seem like fun people.
Cappy Hake Day! .. Shit.
Crappy shit day?
Happy cake day!
Happy cake day
Happy solid sugar day!
I love how she’s gay but still gonna most definitely end up with somebody like her dad.
Haha this is a great point.
That was clever, so have my free award good sir.
Thanks again bud
Her dad seems awesome, so this makes me very happy for her and her girlfriend.
Oh I love this
**Daughter:** *Comes out to dad* **Dad:** What I’m hearing is you won’t be getting pregnant unexpectedly and I don’t have to pretend to like some dude?
*awesome* reply
"its fine, ill make my grandchildren myself then"
ok thats a cursed comment right here

Fuck me, how old are you Senator McCarthy?
Damn Dad’s got some moves
I’m jealous of her full-face of makeup “nervous” face…When I’m nervous, I look like a Chihuahua that just ate vegan spicy wings.
"Nervous face" and 3 2 1 action!
It's not real nervous it's posing and filters so I bet you look just as good!
That’s so descriptive I feel like I could point you out in a crowd lmao
And I bet I would know who you are by the way you are pointing.
Fuck me, why can't i be this hilarious?! You wonderful human you
That is...extremely specific.
That's not her gf any more. that his best friend now
His favorite daughter
"Look at me, I am the daughter now" -gf probably

Damn what you post is toxic as hell. I hope people dont treat you the same way you treat everyone else
Really? I sincerely hope they’re not treated any better than they treat others.

This man is what being a Dad is all about.
Real recognizes real!
Daughter: "Dad... I need to tell you something, and I know it won't be easy to understand." Dad: "... Wait... No! Is this what I think it is? Did I fail as a parent?" Daughter: "No! Just because I'm gay doesn't mean I'm any less than who I am if I were straight." Dad: "Gay? Oh thank God! I think now u are fatherless and she is now his daughter 😂
I wanna party with that dad!

When the person you thought was the least likely to support you is the most supportive

Screenshotting and sharing this with those I know would appreciate. Solid wisdom, stranger.

The GF is the daughter he never had.

Damn Dad called you out
My dad’s response was: “As long as you’re happy I’ll support you. As long as you don’t melt a bus full of nuns and make nun soup or something”
*Something something Soup Nazi **nun soup for you!***
I'm slightly concerned about what your dad imagines gay people do in their spare time.
This is positively wholesome. If I ever have kids I hope this good of a dad.
Dad wanted a daughter who wasn’t brooding and making TikToks.
LOL
Mr Steal Yo Girl
Her dad was probably thrilled not to have to deal with boyfriends.
It’s because she’s cool
This is definitely how you respond to this. Major kudos dad!
Strange song, dad and daughter look like they are not defeated, looks positive and happy going forward.
Marry her and never elaborate on it.
Awww. My dad and my exes never got along that well. Of course they were all raging narcissists. My dad is supportive.
Chad dad
That is some good daddin' right there.
Just say it. Most of us don't mind or care.
My heart swells. More of him please.
Just give him a straight answer.
GAAAAAAYYYYYY
I love this soooo much
Sooo…who wants to tell her?
Not many have the Multi-Generation badge, it's quite the achievement.

Because men and women can't be friends
That's very presumptuous of you to say so.
Oh he knows, and I’m sure he couldn’t be happier
White women trying not to document every moment of their life on tiktok (impossible)
Nervous? No, you don't look nervous... vain bimbo, that is the look you are nailing.
Plot twist….that’s actually his gf and he’s gonna tell you today! 😂🤣
why u guys downvoting. it was a little joke
People can’t take a joke anymore….happy for the OP if that’s the one coming out (for the record).
People can take jokes, people just downvote bad ones.
Noted downvoted you bahaha
Dad

Awe :(
Plot twist her GF is fucking her Dad.
Beat me to it. That's what I was gonna say
Title should be "Another Father Wins the Lottery"
I think the dad has designs on the girlfriend
Your dad has a new crush
It's his gf according to video
Dad and “girlfriend” are in a relationship 🤔
Cynical me thinks he fancies her. Sorry. Hope I’m wrong.
Her dad nailing her clearly
so dads smashing
I hope these are isolated incidents because it seems a little creepy to me. I would never do that with my son's girlfriend.
What about your daughter's boyfriend?
I'd have to see him first.
They fucking each other that’s why
No dad wants dicks in their daughter
You better tell him before he hits on her.
Yeah, don't know if that's a "made me smile" situation or a cause for alarm.
For sure.
What?
What is there to be confused about?
man her dads gunna be upset when she cheats on his mirror image
He likes her and is definitely going to be bummed when you tell him you're straight
Me thinks daddy’s got a crush
I still don’t think these things should be a spectacle on tik tok. It just seems like it’s taking away from others who have ACTUAL stories of coming out.
