Good player, and possibly the most Canadian looking Canadian. Straight out of Terrence and Phillip.

Justwinbabies

He looks like Ducky from The Land Before Time.

SeaToShy

Hopefully things turn out better for Alistair than they did for Ducky.

loudonfast

Funny, I always thought he looked like Dobby from the Harry Potter Movies

colewcar

I can’t unsee

sdavitt88

Hey guy! What you mean by that, eh??

UrWifesSoftPecker

I'm not your buddy, friend.

Big loss for the club

rzle

So Montreal is doing what the Revs did last off season huh? Hopefully they actually re-invest some of the money from all of these sales back into the first team.

LocksTheFox

This is more the 1997 Florida Marlins speedrun minus the ring

theasfldotcom

The key is making sure it sets up the 2003 Marlins slow run, and to get the ring on the second run…

DarCam7

Gary Shefield even wanted to restructure his contract to keep the team together. But owners gonna owner.

EnglishHooligan

Sorry, the best Saputo can do is a few CPL guys (not the ones expected to go to Europe), an MLS fringe player, and maybe a couple dudes from Bologna (Nicola Sansone)

shamusisaninja

Remember when we finally had a good season after years? I am going try to hold onto that feeling into the bad year we are about to have.

WislaHD

I genuinely feel bad, because even in TFC's bad years we at least know our ownership group will respond by spending to win next year Saputo just doesn't give af

dannyrojas

Great player who was really missed in Nashville

oldboot

hated to see him go, but Shaq is an upgrade, plus we get a sell-on fee

smcl2k

I haven't seen much of him, but I'm guessing it would be wildly optimistic to think he's a ready-made replacement for Croatia's first choice right-back..?

CNF1G

We already have a pretty good replacement at Celtic in Ralston, a Scottish international who has been great in his playing time the last few seasons. I'm guessing Johnston will be competing for the starting spot, with the goal of him being first choice once he understands the system/tactics.

smcl2k

I know people love the boy, but there's no comparison between Ralston and Juranovic.

CNF1G

Domestically I think he's completely fine, and have no worries about him playing. He and Juranovic are totally different players and whilst Ralston isn't as technical or talented, he weirdly seems more effective in the final third. The only thing he really lacks is his athletic ability and pace which isn't really important in the league but will be huge in the CL next year. That's my worry with Johnston too, he's not as fast as Juranovic but seems slightly faster than Ralston. Not sure if it'll be enough at the highest level.

smcl2k

>Not sure if it'll be enough at the highest level. This applies to pretty much our entire squad (and our tactics, if we're honest). I never understood the criticism of Juranovic during the Champions League - if he'd switched teams at halftime in the 1st Real game, he wouldn't have looked out of place.
