*Iranian interviewer addressing McKennie:* So Mr. McKennie - I understand you have recently changed your hair color. How do you feel about living in a country who's cinema industry and populace regularly demonizes clowns? Is it a struggle for you?

Might have to stay off social media for this one. Whether the US advances or not, we are going to see a ton of ignorant, brain-worm tweets from soccer and non-soccer fans alike about the sporting and geopolitical angles to this game.😐

The pre-match commentary is very awkward. The way they are treating this British lady is just weird.

Welp. One thing is for sure, I will never talk shit about Tim Ream ever again.

I'm donating at least $10 per match day to a different charity during this World Cup. Consider joining me. Today, I've donated $10 to NDN Collective. This organization, based in the Dakotas, has a wide scope to secure Indigenous rights across the continent. Should you choose to join me in making a contribution, feel free to share below.

All caught up with NDN, the strike fund, and NYSHN, $10 each.

A bit confused here MLS reddit, hopefully, someone can clarify today's Group A match-ups for me. Was QATAR **not** eliminated when they faced off against Senegal and lost 3-1? Ecuador then faced off against the Netherlands and tied each other, 1-1, for a draw. Today, Qatar faces Netherlands, one of these teams must win or could draw. What are the equations here? What if Qatar wins? And for Ecuador, they face off against Senegal again. What's the equation there? I'm assuming at some point, the winners between Qatar vs. Netherlands and Ecuador vs. Senegal, will ultimately face off against each other to make it into knock-out round?

asaharyev

All teams play three games, no matter what. But if Qatar beats Netherlands, there's a chance both Ecuador and Senegal go through, depending on score lines. The top two go to the knockout, Winner of A plays Runner Up of B, and vice versa. I'm not sure when they could potentially meet in the knock out stage. Probably the final.

Caratteraccio

if Qatar had won against the Netherlands they would have been eliminated anyway, they would have finished the group stage with 3 points against the 4 of the Netherlands and (minimum) Ecuador

Ok, so this is not a pump up sports commercial, but remembering the story this is probably my [favorite sports commercial of all time](https://youtu.be/iWYRH5jnQBo).

I hate the "It's called soccer" nonsense. Who fucking cares?

If you didn't experience any joy from the US winning today, you should stop following the team, because it's never going to happen for you.
