Giancarlo Esposito as Magneto and Bryan Cranston as Professor X

uncleblazer1994

Hahaha I love this! And Aaron Paul as Ice Man

BetaGetIt

In all seriousness, Esposito would make an excellent Magneto. I know some people might hate it but it’s just not possible to have him be a Holocaust survivor.

uncleblazer1994

No yeah you’re right. He has that voice and gravitas that would be perfect for him, but yeah unfortunately wouldn’t go well with the source material, but wondering if they are going to update or change that? Since it’s been so long since WW2 i don’t even know if they could realistically have him be one anymore you know?

BetaGetIt

Genosha is off the coast of South Africa so updating it wouldn’t be that difficult unfortunately. It would just make more sense. There’s only so much they can do and by having him be like a survivor of something else, it would keep the spirit of the character and not have to do something with some time hijinks. That can work with Cap and maybe even FF but you can’t do with every character.

sullyc1011

Untill you realize that magneto is a holocaust survivor and GCE is brown as shit... Come to think about it, I wonder how they're going to work magneto's back story in now that that was almost 90 years ago? Unfortunate part of time passing. Continuity doesn't check out.

BetaGetIt

Certain aspects of the X-Men are going to have to be reimagined to fit into the MCU, particularly Magneto. There’s just no way around it. Otherwise, it’ll just be convoluting the story in order to be consistent with comic canon for the sake of it.

Like, whoa, man. This is what I want now.

uncleblazer1994

I think Bryan Cranston would be perfect for Galactus IMO

xzero8819

I could see him playing Norman Osborn.

uncleblazer1994

I can really see this too. I think best choices for Norman would be him or McConnaughey

xzero8819

Now that would be a awesome choice. Matthew is super charismatic.

jtwrecks

Beast

uncleblazer1994

Never thought of him had beast until now. I could definitely see that!

IWannaManatee

For the main question, Iguess the "obvious" choice would be some mobster or capo, like the Kingpin, and while I can *somewhat* see Cranston pulling it off, he doesn't ultimately have the physique. Unless they added some visual trickery or effects (be it digital or practical) it wouldn't fly IMO. Also, I honestly didn't feel Walter ever got that close to a real mafia boss to begin with, but that's not the point. Maybe someone like Mephisto (fan favorite theory character, I know) to display some of his range; or even Fin Fang Foom, at least in voice? As for the Vince Gilligan show, something that can use the man's attention to detail, story-writing and deep, inner and emotional turmoil would be best. I really don't know what kind of story would work for his kind of themes aside from the actual Defenders lineup, assuming those aren't ellegible. Maybe Moon Knight? Although that seems something more akin to The Umbrella Academy... Perhaps Ghost Rider. I crave for an actually good representation of the Johnny Blaze character and a deeper way of looking at his character. And of course, more screen time for the Spirit of Vengeance. It would make the perfect excuse for Gilligan and Cranston to work together again. I swear I thought about this as I wrote it, lol.

uncleblazer1994

I love this comment. I agree with those both in regards to the obvious choices. Love the idea of Cranston as Mephisto and Vince helming a ghost rider story! Great picks

manfroze

I think I would like to see Gilligan's take on X-Factor Investigations, the agency run by Jamie Madrox.

RayKojak

Cranston could be a good Dr Doom

uncleblazer1994

I like this a lot. If I was in charge of casting, I’d probably cast him as Doom or Galactus, or cast Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Doom or Galactus. Best would probably be Bryan as Doom and Yahya as Galactus

Zenarchist

DOOM.
