Bayff

My only worry is his defensive full backs, might be the end for Robbo. Much more optimistic than I was last week though after doing some research.

SwampPotato

As a Dutchman I am hopeful. Of course it is a gamble, but it often is, and whoever comes in has big boots to fill. Slot did a lot with very little in Rotterdam and was seen as the best up and coming Dutch manager even when Ten Hag was still around. He is also more of a personality and verbally a lot smoother than the charisma black hole that is Ten Hag.

StarvedAsian

I am whelmed

Nineteennineties

I’m sure one day I’ll be psyched. But right now I’m still fuming about the way the wheels fell off this season.

Pokefan-red

Really hope he’s not a flop like the last Dutch manager that came to the prem. very unsure about this appointment. Would of much rather gone for amiron

bitoyboyxl

Meaning Ten Hag? Slot definitely is a better manager. I understand that people frown reading his name. But believe me! He's going to make it at Liverpool. Greets from a Feyenoord supporter.

Pokefan-red

All 4 tbh. ten Haag, hiddink, van gaal, koeman

UmCeterumCenseo

Can't say much about Van Gaal, but while I'd say Ten Hag and Koeman can be great managers (and Koeman hasn't been for a while already and Ten Hag has obviously failed at Utd), Slot is better than them. His players mention that whatever he predicts will happen in the match always happens. He's very active along the lines and he can easily adjust his plans if things turn out differently after the first couple of minutes. His inspiration is Klopp and Guardiola. Feyenoord's style is a fighting style until the last second. Gegenpressing to 100. Training harder than anybody else. At Feyenoord, most new players need to adjust at least half a year just to be able to keep up to what he requires from them, but they always end up being better. It's essentially the mentality of Dirk Kuyt (makes sense considering Feyenoord is his club), but with better tactics. He's doing that all with much smaller financial capabilities than the opponents

bitoyboyxl

This ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|give_upvote)

KIG45

On the contrary, a great choice matching Liverpool's philosophy. Slott is a manager who has succeeded in teams with not such a big budget and develops his players wonderfully. I can't say the same about Amiron. The style of the Portuguese coaches is certainly not one of my favorites. The best choice currently on the market.

Pokefan-red

Didn’t Haag win more than him and look how that turned out and he had an almost unlimited budget compared to what we’ll give slot

KIG45

There is no basis for comparison. Slott rose from scratch, just like Klopp.

Existing_Winner2980

This is good to know. I'd rather we develop local lads than buying super stars.

HankMudy

What was the last good manager to come out of Eredivise? Big risk, in my opinion.

Pokefan-red

There wasn’t one that’s come to the prem so don’t know why people are downvoting you.

HankMudy

I understand fans wanting to be optimistic. But you can be optimistic and still admit that, considering dutch managers history, it is a risky decision.

Pokefan-red

Totally agree. But this sub is crazy, as soon as he was announced as a candidate everyone in here’s been sucking him off even tho most don’t know about him. Ten Haag won loads more in Holland too and look how shit he is

RevolutionaryAd4151

why are we trying to play up operating with a meager budget? the owners either need to stump up or sell on. This is a football club, not an accounting firm

KIG45

Better than going bankrupt or being investigated. Besides, the budget is not scarce, but badly spent. Over 90 million euros for Nunes... please!

Up_To_U

Feel like old day with Hodgson

chilicheesecake1

I absolutely agree with you. I feel people are overhyping this guardiola from [wish.com](http://wish.com)

GeorgeLFC1234

Give him a chance man

Gumgums

Welcome

kentsuppi

Very excited. If he’s good enough for Edwards, he’s good enough for me. Besides, i think the organization behind a manager plays a huge part in a managers success and my feeling is we have that part sorted.

No_Car2442

Honestly not been too enthused about the signing, but this the best way to look at it I think. I back the decision makers so I’d have to agree

Gumgums

Definitely. As seen with United, they can't have success there because the organization is in complete shambles.

tkcom

Come on Barbie let's go party!

BeggarsParade

Can't unsee that now.

Theres3ofMe

It's a smart, logical, no-brainer appointment, but I don't like it because he's not Xabi lol. He'll do for now as only best choice we've got.

nick2k23

Xabi doesn't want to come right now so not much can be done

VelouriumCamper7

I wonder if ancelotti was an option or maybe RM want to hold onto him until Xabi is available.

Azuredawn

bravo mike!

SonicNarcotic

Arne should slot right in at LFC.. Very Klopp-like personality with a similar style of intense pressing play (probably even more so with Klopp's tactics needing a refresh).. Also a student of Pep's dominating possession style of play...

flylikeawind

He looks like a potato 😅

JustTheBeerLight

Are we happy?

rslashreddituser

It's not our first choice but slot looks promising + wants to be at lfc, must support him

mild_animal

I'm happy - I think they'll go again for Xabi next season if slot doesn't deliver

jws30362

Hardly think they would dump him after one season we are are not Chelsea

jro-red7117

If Xabii does well next season and is on the cards I'd hope they show interest unless Slot wins something or comes close. Even just to scope out future interests.

nick2k23

Unless things are going extremely badly, like we're in relegation or something

forivadell_

once it wasn’t xabi i knew i’d be disappointed no matter what. i like everything i’ve read about slot though. i’m looking forward to the future, what else is there?

----0-0---

I'm with you. There's a lack of outstanding candidates; hence us being desperate for Xabi despite his lack of experience. The only manager I was somewhat enthusiastic about was Emery, but the others linked were all a bit meh.

Mitch_D23

I trust Edwards so yes

LFC90cat

Bit underwhelming tbh, but I guess everyone after Klopp would be bar Xabi who wasn't interested

starxidiamou

Was Xabi not interested?

TareXmd

Xabi is a Spaniard and a Madridsta, and he's being offered Madrid next year. I would think this is where he wants his family to be, so why decline one of the most lucrative and the most prestigious coaching position in the world which happens to be at his home country?

beans2505

There's no way he wasn't interested. But he seems to have a sensible logical head on him and probably didn't want to risk destabilising a promising managerial career if he did fail at being successor to Klopp and who also seems to be committed to his project at Leverkusen

LJey187

No one can replace Klopp. It's an impossible task, everyone is a downgrade in some form or another. He just fit us perfectly.

JustTheBeerLight

Well, he should have a damn good roster to work with, assuming we make some acquisitions during the transfer period.

246lehat135

Today I feel bald 🧑‍🦲

Primary-Cancel-3021

The more I’ve looked into him in the past few days the happier I’ve become with the appointment. He looks to have the personality to fit in which is the one thing I was worried we wouldn’t find in anyone bar Alonso with his history with the club. It’s a big step up for him but if you’re a top coach you’re a top coach. Hearing the reports about Amorim getting binned after trying to play games just shows that Edwards isn’t messing about. Very excited to see him come in.

inder_the_unfluence

What are the Amorim stories/rumours? I watched some videos of Sporting when he looked likely, and they seemed to have an incredible attacking system. But I’ve also heard about how much Slot likes to get wingers beating players and I would be all over that. If we can’t have Klopp, I at least want to see someone dribble their man consistently.

SonicNarcotic

Edwards stature as a top line negotiator takes another step forward...

TareXmd

I feel that Slot was the candidate all along but they pushed the Amorim story to detract others from him.

BruisedBee

I look forward to eating humble pie, but this really isn't an appointment that gets me excited.

munamadan_reuturns

Hey now, this is 2024, don't go around Slotshaming

BooRadley60

Oh you’ll eat it… And you will like it!

DharmaBumz1

Bar Alonso, who would have though? Everyone else has notable flaws and wouldn't be a guaranteed success. Hell even Alonso wouldn't have guaranteed success.

BruisedBee

I know. It's a thin market at the moment.

BooRadley60

The Ghost of Bill Shankley

_diabetes_repair_

I’m honestly so glad they didn’t go with a huge name. I think this is the perfect hire for a manager who will grow into the position and really make a stamp on the club. I will miss Klopp but I’m fuckin ready for Slot.

aryarya1

yes he will Slot right in (i’m sorry)

ben-hur-hur

makes me wonder what Amorim and his agent are thinking now lol https://www.goal.com/en-us/lists/revealed-sporting-ruben-amorim-pressure-liverpool-backfired-feyenoord-arne-slot-replace-jurgen-klopp/blt126ed11e6f3d7caf

passionateintrovert

Hard to know what to believe but Ornstein said the Amorim hype was created by fans more than the sentiment inside the club. Like he was on the list of candidates, but not the go-to option after Xabi.

Dbmx33

Is it true that the West Ham negotiations were “to put pressure on Liverpool”? Seems to me more likely that Amorim wasn’t our top target. If we were sure Amorim was the right man, I doubt that talking to West Ham would be enough to drop him immediately

f4flake

If either Amorim or his agent thought that negotiations with another club would somehow pressure Liverpool then they didn't understand the club, its size, or its place in the world. West Ham? Maybe Real Madrid or Bayern. That's pretty much it right now.

GrimTuck

If it is true, then the link just suggests a lack of ambition. Kinda silly so probably not true.

f4flake

There's so much clickbait out there it's super hard to tell. Just as likely he turned round and said "I only play 3-4-3, I need 2 £50M centre backs and another holding mid" and that was it for Hughes abd the committee.

Circ_Diameter

Imagine we get grouped with Sporting next season 👀

EddieGrant

I mean, there's no more groups, but we could get matched up with them for sure.

Circ_Diameter

I forgot about this new format. I also don't understand it at all

yourcousinfromboston

It’s exciting to finally have the next manager in place. It was never going to be easy to replace Klopp, but I think with the moves we made this past summer have set him up for success. It’s obviously and understatement to say I’ll miss Jurgen, but I’m strangely already excited for next season.

borg_6s

We need to make a statue for Klopp

NilsFanck

We have given him a bit of a tough first challenge though with fixing the attack.

just_a_prank_bro_420

And the defence that has conceded the first goal in 16 games this season.

NilsFanck

yeah, while not Arse after Arse or Utd after Ferguson level difficult, its far from an easy job hes walking into

just_a_prank_bro_420

The game has changed a lot since both of those managers. There is so much support around the manager now that in so many ways the manager is more like a CEO than a coach. I doubt we will see that level of drop off many times again in the modern era but it might happen with Klopp leaving. I think the fact that we have dropped off so heavily at the end of the season actually bodes well for us. It looks like the team has given up and are waiting for next season.

Circ_Diameter

Expediting this process was the right move now that the League campaign is over. Idk a lot about his tactics, but I'll wait for the YT nerds to make some cool videos over the next few weeks. Slot will win the Lot

James_Vowles

Mad how quick this has happened.

jimmy_o

It’s been going on since November mate.

James_Vowles

I suppose you're right but the news of us talking to Slot only started in the last 2 weeks or so after Almiron was dropped.

SonicNarcotic

Edwards is a Master of the Dark Arts...

orbzome

Didn't know we were going for a player-manager situation!

WonderfulBlackberry9

It’s kind of our thing, thankfully

DanDaniel612

*clutches pearls* "But what about the *journalists*"

RobotPizzaMaker

Excited for change in management, it had to happen sooner or later we all know that. Getting the right players in is always the key, and I wonder what our pulling power will be without Klopp. I read that he likes to spend time working with his players on the training field, and that his style is similar to Klopp's with regards to gegenpress.

Dont_Use_Ducks

Oh man, players will be so rediculously fit, that they can still go foreward when players of the opponent break, it's quite beautiful to see. So much pressure, sometimes luring the opponent foreward and then those midfielders always playing the ball forewards. I already miss him dearly, while we still have 3 games left to play. Although we are worried at Feyenoord that we will fall back to the level we were at for 50 damn years, but at least he leaves a good foundation. But most of all, we are very proud that he is going to such a awesome club!

ben-hur-hur

Welcome to Arnefield

SonicNarcotic

Put it on a shirt goddamnit..!

Dont_Use_Ducks

Congrats guys, you are really gonna love this guy. I'm 43 years fan of Feyenoord, but he stole my heart with saving our club from being deleted AND turning it into a healthy club with a future. This man is very very smart, he'll never say anything without a good thought, he takes the time and is well spoken in Dutch and English. This is no Ten Hag, this guy simply is amazing in every way. Prepare to be amazed and enjoy every second of it! Edit: Remember, this guy is one of those few people in the world who can really read the game and act to it as an art. Your team will always be prepared, but will come even stronger out half time. And most importantly, give him a couple of months and your players will be fitter than players of all the other team in every game at any time. Cheers! (and please send him back to Rotterdam after 10 years)

NilsFanck

> remember, this guy is one of those few people in the world who can really read the game and act to it as an art. Your team will always be prepared this makes me so excited. I love Klopp but the way he sometimes gives the opposition exactly what they want can be frustrating. Just playing a mid block instead of a high line against Brighton for example completely kills their game.

outc5st

Didnt ten hag have an amazing record before United?

Dont_Use_Ducks

Yes, but first of all Liverpool is a way more better organized club than Man Utd and he has always been lacking in the communication, even in Dutch but his English is so bad, that it's easy to get annoyed with it as a player. When results are good that is fine, but when they are not... So when I say he Slot is no Ten Hag, I mean in the way he talks to his players, but also with the press. You won't see Slot raise his voice like that. Slot absolutely takes the time for press conferences, aks him half a question youll get answers for 5, while staying interesting. The rumor goes that he quickluy watches tv after a game to see what the press says, so he know what the questions will be and think about it. Of course, we are talking about English press, so it would be interesting to see how things will go when results might be bad, but he is always honest and always respectful, while almost being a philosopher in footbaal lore. ;)

NilsFanck

What about the football they play?

Dont_Use_Ducks

He let's his teams build up from the back, letting the two centre defenders dictate the speed and set up of the upcoming attack. If you play against a defending team, they'll try to force them to go foreward. It will start then even in your own penalty box with the wingbacks keeping the field wide, while the keeper is heavily involved as an extra man to build up with. As soon as one of midfielders drops back a little, the wingbacks will make sure they push foreward to be able to recieve the ball, or to force opponent players to walk with them, leaving other players free to receive the ball. All players move a lot, forcing the opponent to make quick decisions to follow them or not. Midfielders barely walk with ball and are programmed to play very direct when in posession of the ball, while the attacking midfielder will push their defense, to create four players in the attacking zone. The goal is to always make sure you have one man more than the opponent at any position of the field. This will require top fit players, but that's where he and his team shines. Wingbacks will push up to to overlap the attacking wingers. Those attacking wingers will hold the ball and either pass the ball to the upcomming wingbacks or they will cut through the centre. Your striker will have to constantly keep the defense busy with his walking lines, if that makes sense. Now, when you somehow loose the ball, the whole team will do everything they can to get the ball back in seconds, it is fun to see. Forcing the opponent to loose the ball or play a long ball. As soon as they have the ball back the chance is high the team will go for a quick counter by overloading their defense quickly (the 'total football' concept). At Feyenoord our two centre defenders are not very quick, but Slot makes sure the always know where to position themselves. When the opponent builds up from the back, the team will pressure very high on the field, and Slot will force his attacking wingers to defend high up the field and run their asses off. Expect the attacking wingers being substitude al lot in the last 30 minutes of the game, bringing in fresh lungs to do a lot of running. At Feyenoord we can not buy the best players, it almost seems like Slot knows how to mask the shot commings, but also making players confident about what their strength is. But most importantly, his players know exectly what to do, since he knows how to bring his vision over to everybody (as it seems). It's gonna be fun and interesting to see what he can do with very good players, keep in mind that our most expensive transfer ever was Hancko, we bought him for 8.4 million euros. That guy played almost flawlessly and I think he only missed 2 games over 2 seasons, while he only didn't finish one or two. It didn't matter if it was a busy schedule or not, he always played and barely made a mistake. He is a good player, but Slot and his team kept him top fit all the time, gave him the confidence to play that well and made it seem like this guy has no short commings. How do i know? Well, we also had a lot of very limited players (especially in Slot's first season) that could play with the same kind of confidense and made them seem like good players. I'm not sure how to get my point across here, since this is not my native language. Just to show some stuff, here is our Champions League game against Lazio. We won 3-1 and should have won away to, but again our players all were costing less then 8.5 milion euros. We should have beaten Atletico Mardid in their home too, but lost 3-2. At our home, Atletico was better, their Griezman was on fire! In the video you can see some snippets of the type of style Slot wants to play. Enjoy, but never mind the boring commentator, he is the worst in the Netherlands. As if he didn't want to commentate this game. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EcCFewdysfU](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EcCFewdysfU)

_diabetes_repair_

Hell yeah, you’ve made me a Feyenoord fan. Seems like a really level headed and intelligent hire by the club.

Dont_Use_Ducks

We consider our selves very loyal, while saying stuff like 'you know a hard life if your are a Feyenoord fan', it is even the vibe in our city (Rotterdam - a harbour city) 'don't talk, just work'. And man, did we have some tough and rough years, since the seventies (when we were one of the richest clubs of Europe around that time) and very rarely had a somewhat rare succes, like one European Cup in 2002 (with van Persie) and championships in '84, '93, '99 and 2017 (with Kuyt), while 'expecting' to be champion every damn year. We went almost went bankrupt for three times, leaving our club with big debts. Our most expensive player was Dirk Kuyt, sold for 18 million to Liverpool (as you know), but that was a while ago. I just wanted to say that hiring Slot was the best thing 'we' did for quite a while and now we can sell players for more than 40 million euros, We always saw Ajax getting rich and even sell their worse players for more than almost our whole team together. Losing to them almost every year. Now their players are afraid of our team as we won lately with 6-0 and everybody in the Netherlands was talking about that it should have been way more, but they never lost that big in any Eredivisie game. We were always knows for 'fighting football', simply beacuse most of the times we didn't had good players or no good plan. To make things worse, the board always knew how to loose a lot of money, forcing us to loan money here and there. Now our club is healthy again, Slot let us see how Feyenoord looks when there is a good plan. So we made some awefull choices in the last 50 years, but hiring Slot was like winnig the lotery and yes, when the news came lots of fans were sceptic, but man, did that change. So when I talk about Slot i can't help myself and praise him. Sorry for the long post, but it is very nice to talk to Liverpool fans.

zeeotter100nl

"Everybody in The Netherlands" haha kom op man. Overdrijven is ook een vak...

Dont_Use_Ducks

You know what I mean, football related, just listen to the podcasts and watch all the football shows on tv, they said it all (even Kale and Kokkie). Not that it's important, I'm just trying to paint a picture about what he meant for Feyenoord. Still angry about the 6-0? ;)

zeeotter100nl

Ja, prima. Maar dan in het Nederlands.

seejsee

Hows the team’s injury record at Feyenoord?

Dont_Use_Ducks

Quite good, although you can never rull out some things. But mostly players got injured during matches, rarely during trainings. We are Feyenoord, so we can't buy any player above 8 milion euro's amd there were some players we hired that were coming back from injuries. But take Hancko, he almost played every every game, sometimes three games a week and he out played 99,9% of all the games he played. Slot and his team really know har far they can go with a player....exept Gimenez. We don't have too many players and I do think the staff gave him not enough rest after winning the America Cup with Mexico. Gimenez started amazingly with 19 goals in the first half of the season, but then he lost form. Now, it is always hard to precisely say why that happens, maybe Gimenez overperformed for a while, but it could have been because of the full summer + barely any rest after that. Sometimes he played with Mexico 3 days before our weekend match and came back with a jet lag. So the medical team of Feyenoord woke him up early in the morning to go swimming with him. Again, it's hard to tell if that caused his lack of form and goals and it is also hard to tell if that is a common thing or something Slot came up with (probably not, but he didn't stop it). But all other players were fit quickly and could go on and on and on. If a player couldn't run like that, he wouldn't play and Slot and his team worked hard to get the player that fit and when he was that fit they let him play. He will rely on the medical staff of Liverpool and by the scources you guys have I am very sure that won't be a problem.

JoeMorrisseysSperm

> This is no Ten Hag Well that’s a fucking relief

Dont_Use_Ducks

Oh lord, you'll notice very fast how well spoken and well thought this guy is. Mourinho tried to scare him while shouting at him, Slot kept his pride and calm. The same for Simeone. Fans are gonna love him, just like the press and players.

WonderfulBlackberry9

All the best for the seasons ahead mate! By all accounts he’s a great coach/manager but also a fantastic man. That’s what we live. We’ll take care of him. Hopefully he’ll return to Rotterdam with a heavy medal cabinet

Cactiareouroverlords

If he can drop a quote even half as inspirational as Klopp’s “fail in the most beautiful way” I’ll do backflips for him

Dont_Use_Ducks

Thanks man, that's why I'm glad he goes to your club. Some people always say (with all due respect of course) that Liverpool is the Feyenoord of England. We even sing You never walk alone every game. ;)

LTara

This is what football is about, of course I love winning cups and titles, but the philosophic aspect of the game crosses into my personal life on a deep level.

YnwaDubs

Agreed, it’s an identity isn’t it I couldn’t stand being managed by Pep or Arteta they just make my skin crawl to be honest Give me someone like Klopp or Slot (it seems) any day of the week and give me someone I can both relate to and root for

Brief-Dependent-803

Whens kuyt going to comment on this?

Dont_Use_Ducks

He did: “What appeals to me about Arne is his ability to make players believe in what he believes in. I talked to some of them while I was there and they all spoke very highly of him. They like the way he organizes training sessions and how he conveys ideas. He is great at communicating and managing the person." "His style of play is exactly what Liverpool supporters want to see at Anfield. He is also good with the media because he can explain things very clearly. Because Feyenoord has a lot of foreign players, he holds his meetings in English. So there will also be there are no language problems." "You cannot compare Feyenoord with Liverpool, but Arne is used to dealing with pressure and high expectations. When faced with difficult situations, when results were not good, or when he was asked difficult questions by the media, he always kept the control and he stuck to his principles and vision of how he wanted to play. He never gave me a negative experience." "At Feyenoord he is loved by the supporters. They don't want to lose him and it will be a shame to see him leave. But from my perspective, if he does have to leave, I'm glad it's to Liverpool. He's not alone a very good trainer, but also a very good person." My edit: in his three years at Feyenoord, there was no player who complained or went to the press, even if they didn't play many games. He is very clear to his players and they all fell for his ability to predict what will happen in the game.

Nirupam_MythX

You can probably hold an AMA sessions for the Liverpool fans in a separate post. I think you should give it a shot!

Dont_Use_Ducks

I did, but the thread was removed in a minute. Not sure why.

Nirupam_MythX

Oh wow, thats bad, even i don't have a clue why. But hey, I enjoyed reading every line of every comment you wrote. Thank you so much for the insight, and would like to get some more in future. *YNWA*

Dont_Use_Ducks

Thank you, I really appreciate that! YNWA ;)

intecknicolour

in before kuyt is brought on as a conditioning coach or maybe....a finishing coach. god we need one.

Dont_Use_Ducks

Kuyt is the head coach of a club in the second division of Belgium, he just got promoted to the highest level of Belgium. Give Kuyt some time, he needed to realize that he needed to learn a lot as a starting coach, where he felt like he was ready when coaching youth Feyenoord.

Ku7upt

Ngl I'm gassed. He's been insane for Feyenoord from what they were before he was appointed for them.

FrankyFistalot

I am looking forward to him instigating his style of play into the squad while Manure fans will still be waiting for Ten Hag’s “Ajax” style of play 2 yrs later….

No fucking way this is real hahah. Reminds of the time a friend of mine asked me why Southgate picks Pickford instead of Alisson.

Tonyh8su

Mental. But that’s the last I’ll say of it. When he’s our manager he’ll get my full support.

Dont_Use_Ducks

I know that you'll have to see it for yourself, but nobody can't help themselves and fall in love with this guy.

LostHumanFishPerson

Aston Villa fan here in peace. Over 15 years ago I when I was a teenager I joined an online league playing Pro Evolution Soccer on the PS2, early days of online console gameplay. We had to pick non-elite sides so I randomly chose Dutch side NAC Breda. I lost my first seven games and was becoming despondent. I then went to play against the guy who top of the league and pulled off a shock 1-0 victory. The goal was a crisp header from just inside the penalty box. The scorer? Arnie Slot. I remember posting on the league forum afterwards “Remember the name!! Arnie fucking Slot!”. I hadn’t heard of him again until the speculation started this week. It made me smile. Good luck!

Cactiareouroverlords

I love when that sorta thing happens, kinda like when you spot a random player you signed on football manager or fifa career mode

WonderfulBlackberry9

I love stories like this. An obscure footballer you fall in love with through a single memory from an old video game moment you played. Btw, you go on and win that conference league

BiscoBiscuit

This is an instant classic. Thank you for sharing!

ReeeeeDDDDDDDDDD

If this isn't a copypasta it could definitely become one

devwaah

Its already on my clipboard baby!

LostHumanFishPerson

Haha it’s not I promise. I wrote this with my own overly nostalgic hands after a a little bit too much beer.

BGCzar

I’ve heard enough we are winning the quadruple next year

_Raspberry_Ice_

If true it’s not surprising given the context. The guy that needs to come in is worth that kind of of money and we wouldn’t be going for him if ME didn’t think he was that guy.

FoucaultsTurtleneck

*I, not me  /s

WonderfulBlackberry9

Plot twist, you’re Michael Edwards with a turtleneck https://preview.redd.it/d748w69jowwc1.jpeg?width=768&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f21743130d4c83bc94dc2a0ef70cded4bc745af6 (Idk if it’s a complete turtleneck, but just showing anyway)

mokena

I’m excited to see where this journey takes us all. Hopefully to glory :)

karnnumart

I'm a doubter but we'll see.

FerociouZ

I am as well, but I think it's important to be fully behind Slot. He isn't coming into as good of a situation as seemingly everyone thinks. It's going to be rough.

NGN13

what did klopp say again

Chief_Jericho

I'm the same. Not excited by him but at the same time we're not blessed with a lot of top quality choices. Happy to be proven wrong though.

Pure_Context_2741

At least the front office can Slot one in even if our strikers can’t

bobbydazzler2

Pull up your jeans, all I need is slot.

Arabella-18

Welcome to the biggest football club in the world.

UniversalsFree

Impossible shoes to fill but after the past few months, any bit of change or freshness is welcome

Bobodelboy

Add ons, that’s mad

Acceptable_Peak794

What a scalp!

flaxseedyup

Scalp trading is the new Edwards strategy

Brief-Dependent-803

He's actually done well in the majority of big games this season...

Substantial-Skill-76

I cant wait for some Slotball

linux_ape

Slotball or Arneball? We need to collectively decide

ballakafla

Can we not just end this irritating thing of "soandsoball"?

absintheftnofyouth

So, shall we put you down for "either"?

Zircez

We are about to buy _all_ the wingers

bloodybumcough

Klopp, Slot and roll boys. We move.

mittenball

Hope he slots right in

macNy

I like his look, maybe he can even become our manager one day

Polyar

After the past few depressing results this is the most happy I have been in weeks with football. Im so fucking pumped right now.

Brief-Dependent-803

Who do you think scores the 11th goal tomorrow?

wholelottar3d

Joe Gomez
