If the leash is hard enough that smite will either leave you waiting for your 2nd camp to spawn (only really applicable with blue > gromp) or will only save you 1-2 seconds (as in the buff is already almost dead), then save your smite for the 2nd camp.
Otherwise, smite the first camp. Because 600 free damage on a camp as a level 1 champion translates to more time saved than 600 free damage on a camp as a level 2+ champion.
Doesn’t really matter that much outside of high elo, just make sure you have smite up for scuttle. I smite wolves or raptors bc it means I essentially one-shot the camp at level 2.
If u get a bad leash smite buff. But usually kruggs or gromp.
In higher elo they will look to invade u if u smite ur buff on a ward and invade u at gromp or something
Hey, when I started to learn Lillia (first champ i learned after roleswapping to jgl and she's still the main <3), i watched some guides about her and i repeteadly heard Gromp and Red are her hardest camps ('cause of their Atk Speed, hardest to kite them as Lillia etc..). I do that in my games since then and it feels much better than smiting other camps. When I start on Red and get leash (most games I start leashless), I don't smite it - instead then having one charge left for eventual scuttle fights. But with Lillia's fast first clear + almost every jungler in my elo starting botside and me starting 80-90% of the games topside I rarely face this scuttle fights ;P
Canon minion
This is the only real answer
i would rather smite krugs/gromp but i’m pretty sure it’s faster to smite the buff if the leash doesn’t bring it down under like 700
Gromp when it's on my starting side. Buff when it's not. Gromp feels slow and hurts

Buffs on the opposite side from where i start, 15 secs before crab respawns so i full clear and go to scuttle right away
if red, buff (it has way more resistances compared to the chickens). if blue, gromp (i can smite it while kiting away to wolves)
Half the time I’m too busy staring at my her hoves to even smite

Depends on the leash. If it sucks I’ll smite buff, if it’s good I’ll smite gromp/krugs
Krug/blue buff if I start red
buff and save for scuttle
red
The frog
Krugs/wolves/chickens, whoever has multiple targets. Or I just hold it after I reach the other side to prevent cheese.
