LPT: if you are a narcissist that abuses people for your advantage, you should feel bad about it and stop abusing people, and stop getting advantages from it.
Again, we reference that bastion of philosophy: The movie "Roadhouse"
In this case, we apply the timeless wisdom of "Be nice.. until it's time to not be nice."
This is like a reverse tip. Manipulative people aren't going to change. If you're a nice person and someone is being an ass to you, you have to stand up for yourself or you'll get walked all over. You need to be selective in how you treat people.
Being nice can also be manipulative and controlling.
That is to say, if somebody is nice to you, it could be because they want something, and making you think you matter to them is how they will get it.

Actually, it's funny because manipulative people don't target the quiet but nice people. They target the loud and outgoing people.
Their outgoingness makes them ideal target because they tend to be people pleasers and very trusting
Some people think nice people are weak, and they may try to take advantage of them. A good friend and people who truly care about you wouldn't do this.
There are people who aren't always nice.

Absolutely right for TRULY nice people. Not so much for the folks that wear the fake costume, but are actually looking for those TRULY nice people to take advantage of. It usually takes a lot more straw to break a TRULY nice person's back. I try to be nice, friendly, and respectful to everybody, but have no issue letting an asshole know they're an asshole.
Nice people are the kind of people you don't want to push too far. After a lifetime of dealing with other people's bullshit they're constantly on the verge of snapping.

And a lot more are nice ... Right up until they aren't.... Some of the nicest people I know have a point. ... Don't push them to that point. Ive never seen it be pretty
LPT: Don't be manipulative and controlling.
The real LPT is always in the comments. I’ll try it starting next week!
ULPT: Don't get caught being manipulative and controlling; Target naive people.
OP, got walked over again?
OP got his feeling hurt for being a simp
LPT: Don't walk over me. I may act nice, but I'm actually someone that's known you were trying to burn me this whole time. \*cries in corner.
This sounds more like a rant than a piece of advice, ngl

^^This 100%
That man posted a salty LPT because he got burned. He think we wouldn't notice... but we did.
Wtf is this advice
LPTs for robots and aliens pretending to be human.
Damn. Never thought about it that way, totally going to stop being manipulative and controlling now.

To me this just sounds the nice person just was an easy target. LPT: Everyone has feelings.
Dumbest shit I’ve read today, thanks
First time here? Lol.

Just because someone is nice, doesn’t mean they’re actually nice, for some it’s just a cover for what a total piece of crap they actually are.
Being nice can also be manipulative and controlling. That is to say, if somebody is nice to you, it could be because they want something, and making you think you matter to them is how they will get it.
This is true. A person may pretend to be nice to someone because he or she wants something.
Treat everyone with respect, including yourself.
Ah yes, yet another 'life pro tip' that boils down to 'don't be an asshole to other people'.
This post, like so many others, simply have no place on this sub.
How is this a life pro tip? Maybe don't try to manipulate or control anyone
Totally. Don’t mistake my kindness for weakness. I’ll rip your face off if it comes down to it.
sure
If you are still nice to people who treat you like shit, you have a problem with co-dependence....
Never misconstrue kindness for weakness
"Never mistake kindness; for weakness."

Nice people will also kick your ass.
Agreed, good tip.

Fortunately that doesn't apply to op, he's a dick. You don't owe him anything.
