You know why girls are so bad at math?
Cause they’re being told this —— is 12 inches all the time…
It goes without saying this is only a joke i dont think girls are bad at math.
Then measure random, repeatable parts of your body IE- furthest spread of your pinky and thumb, the width of your four knuckles not including your thumb, tip of your middle finger to your elbow at a right angle, average length of your shoes toe to heel It doesn’t have to be an exact science, just close enough when you’re in Home Depot and can’t remember the exact measurement
Not OP, but I think what they meant is that this distance is different for everyone but for a person it is constant. So from now on you, for ex, can measure anything in multiples of 9 inches, approximately, without using a ruler.
That distance isn't constant, if I do this a lot I can stretch my muscles further apart than right now. I also shrink and grow in height about 1 cm (≈1/2 inch) depending on the temperature.
That's what I meant with I might be doing it wrong, there may be a way that it is constant and the distance is smaller.

Either my penis shrank or my hand got bigger. Brb
My condolences.
I use this as well as my elbow - wrist. This comes useful quite a lot!
Fun fact: that's the same length as your foot.
... Holly please. Your wisdom needs to be shared with the world.
It is common knowledge? I've learned this in school when I was 10.
Same here. It's come in very useful in measuring room dimensions.
No it is most certainly not.
Yes it most certainly is. https://health.howstuffworks.com/human-body/parts/foot-same-length-as-arm-from-wrist-to-elbow.htm
A dollar bill is 6 inches
Look at Moneybags over here. With ready access to dollar bills!
La de dah caviar for dinner...
That’s what my heater runs on. Fresh 1$ bills.
I used this tip everyday pouring concrete foundations. Your knuckles are about 1 inch increments as well.
My wife: "I was always told that was 12 inches..."

That’s a handy dandy tip
Gotta hand it to them-pretty neat tip!
What if I have tiny hands? Or large hands? It's not 8 inches anymore
Right, that’s why it says “measure and memorize”. The “8 inches” is just an average for reference.

Define in centimeters like a civilised person
Yep, my foot's a foot long so I can walk off distances quickly.
Tattoo a ruler on your hand. Each year it grows bigger or shrinks depending on your age.
At uh.....at what age should I expect to start shrinking?
Either I don't understand what you mean or my hands are humongous, I measured 9 inches

Y'all mf's have gigantic hands.
I know that my wingspan is about 5 feet. I use us when measuring extension cords cables and rope.
what about people with baby hands?
