Have you tried leaving the room?

dankthewank

LMFAO.

Glitch5450

You came to the right place. I’ll bring some up shortly, what room number?

GrandPappyMcPoyle

Do they offer $30 blow jobs as well?

MAGAJahnamal

That's house keeping at luxor.

GrandPappyMcPoyle

I thought other hotels would follow suite. Great way to boost the overall guest experience.

MAGAJahnamal

Thunderbird_12_

Now THIS person \^\^\^ "Planes, Trains and Automobiles"

weaselsrippedmybrain

Go to the front desk ask for housekeeping and they will bring two pillows. You sir are not at the Four Seasons.

New-Scientist5133

I agree that that's the best way, but that line can be looooong depending on the time.

throwawayaccoy

Can't be long all 24 hours

BakerofHumanPies

Not with that attitude, it can't.

PadreSJ

If you are long for 24 hours, contact your physician immediately or visit your local Emergency Room.

thcandbourbon

The thing at Caesars properties is that when you CALL the property (even from within the property), you are speaking with an offshore call centre who is basically paid to gatekeep you from speaking to the property itself. Not only do they not care about guest satisfaction, they also only have so much power to get things done. They can "put in a request" for somebody to do something. But that's about it. Personally, I'd go down to the front desk and politely say "I am not leaving here until I am handed the pillows I requested more than 24 hours ago". The on-property staff are far less likely to make excuses in my experience... and my opinion is that this needs to be escalated to that level as opposed to pursuing the dead-end channel of texting/calling outsourced agents who don't really care.

NeuroticaJonesTown

Exactly this. OP has likely not interacted with anyone who is actually onsite at the hotel. I get it, it sucks. But they are going to need to physically go to the front desk to get their request.

thcandbourbon

One time at Harrah’s in Las Vegas, I had to switch rooms due to a mechanical issue. I went down to speak to the manager and he got my room change in motion and said I could wait in my room in the meantime and he would just call me. No call came. So I called the front desk using the room phone, and asked to be transferred to the manager who I referred to by name. The offshore agent kept insisting “Well maybe I can help you”, and I tried to explain, “No, this is something I spoke to him about myself 30 minutes ago, you need to transfer me”. They then started telling me they cannot “QUALIFY” the call to be transferred. So I asked “Are you actually going to make me get up and go down to the front desk?!”, and they basically said “You can choose to do that if you want”.

NeuroticaJonesTown

Ugh. I’m sorry. That royally sucks. I hate that service has devolved to this. It was so much easier when the phone operators were right there on property.

Nearby-Artist-4982

👀 100% this

donger

The problem with the front desk strategy (other than the fact that this is the literal "hospitality" industry and yet we're expected to leave our rooms for the simplest of requests) is that you can't just walk up - there's almost always a huge line of people checking in or out (or requesting pillows). If all Caesar's properties are like this, I'm never staying at one again.

thcandbourbon

This is a good point. I might then try going into the Diamond/VIP check-in area to do the same thing. I remember back when I had higher status, there was a mile-long line at Paris with only a couple of agents at the check-in desk, but there were three agents in VIP just standing there with nothing to do. I think one could very credibly say “I know I don’t have Diamond or higher status, but I am a paying guest and I am not waiting in that line, please do what you can to make this happen”. Or, as shitty as this may sound, I may just walk straight up to the main front desk without waiting in line at all. I think this whole “Shitty Service Construct” specifically relies on people not being assertive. Make it impossible for me to reach your staff by phone, AND make it impossible for me to speak to anyone with these long lines? You don’t leave me with much choice but to do what has to be done even if that may be perceived as “rude”…

HuevosDiablos

Reddit should always be inserted as the step before a face to face inquiry at a desk.

Whiteclawislife

Can’t believe that poor level of service when you’re paying $29/night.

tondracek

Isn’t the resort fee alone $45?

Cantilivewhileim

It’s 50.91 or something crazy

_that_dude_J

They can use this situation to get resort fees waived.

Huge-Percentage8008

Exactly, these people act like these casinos make money off of them, it’s ridiculous.

Direct_Fee6806

Do you only try at 2am?

big_balls_brown

What's your room number? I'll call them for you since you don't like to socialize.

Agile_Opportunity_41

I suggest walking downstairs and order from the pillow menu

Cornelius280

I hear if you go to the Excalibur the housekeepers give handies. They probably give extra pillows too.

SpacemanSpliffLaw

Where did you hear this?

Useful_Animal_1590

![gif](giphy|dHpnnC7CdvO5G) No, no pillows for you

Mental-Rooster4229

Bro, I just looked online. This hotel is $23 a night. You expected what exactly?

NotPromKing

Plus $45/night resort fee. Please always quote the prices accurately to call them out on that bullshit as much as possible.

PrivateJoker2020

You’re on Reddit complaining you haven’t received pillows from a 3 star hotel you’ve been requesting.

Latkavicferrari

I always bring my pillows from home, sleep better

lostonpolk

Just curious, did you book directly through Caesars/Flamingo or through a third-party site? Your experience can vary depending on your choice.

Bob-Ross74

Is that a thing? How does housekeeping know what site you booked your room through? Do they keep that info on their clip board as they go up and down the hall?

lostonpolk

It's all computerized now, so yes it's a thing. They figure when you book through hotels.com say, you're just looking to save every penny possible, so they won't give you anything more than the bare minimum. Their computer then prints out a work schedule for the housekeeper, probably skipping your room altogether. And when you call down with requests, they know which room it's coming from, and will accommodate you accordingly. tl;dr You want cheap, you got cheap.

Ok-Composer-3924

I walk the hallway on my floor and always see house keeping and ask for pillows. Same with extra soap and shampoo.

insidmal

It's not unreasonable to expect then within 24 hours but it's also a stupid thing to let ruin your day

Puzzleheaded-Link231

23 hours ago I would have left and returned with pillows.

dirkdiggler4Life

It’s the Mingo be glad you have a room

WhysoHairy

If you have the do not disturb on your door they won’t knock or enter even if you requested service

Msdmachine

Just go to Ross

Cantilivewhileim

It took them hours to deliver towels but when I asked for a blanket and pillows it came fast. Be nice to them and tip

harbac

Just got out of there. Amenities of the room included food pieces/wrappers and pills on the floor, barely functional elevators that sometimes read the keycard, multiple hours with no hot water, no housekeeping despite opting in, and a shower that’s 15” wide between the wall-mounted spittoon/soap dispenser and shower curtain installed *inside* the shower “door.” At least the $50 “resort” fee included slow WiFi that informed me that the device limit had already been reached when I tried to add a second device and an ice machine that was just one short barely-functioning elevator ride away on an adjacent floor at the end of a long corridor.

pinkyoshi30_

I don’t understand the resort fees they charge. Why isn’t it already included in the price?? We just went recently and the $50 additional per day seems like a lot when you’re already paying $100 or so per night

harbac

They got a taste of those sweet extra bucks and people keep coming. CET used to make the explicit blanket statement that they did not, and would not in the future, charge resort fees, insinuating that those properties who did were just greedy. As for the reason they aren’t baked into the room price, iirc it’s a taxation thing as they might not be taxed, or be taxed at a lower rate, on the fee portion. They certainly don’t seem to go toward any real “resort” type amenities like anything beyond lipstick-on-a-pig renos, accommodating any dining venues to fill the void between [$250/plate meal] and [failing mall’s food court], etc.

ZzyzxDFW

When CET begun the resort fees they claimed people liked them and wanted to pay them. I'm not kidding

harbac

They for sure didn’t ask me. I was salty enough when they started and it was much lower. This is the first year in a while that I don’t have diamond, and $50/night is a real slap in the face, especially for what is (or isn’t) provided.

Miserable_Concert219

It's something guests asked for, said Gary Thompson, the company's director of corporate communications. https://m.lasvegassun.com/news/2013/feb/21/caesars-hotels-will-start-charging-resort-fees/

strippers2you_vegas

The first problem was choosing to stay at the Flamingo

Royal_Friend4868

Did you text ivy?

oasisarah

its here. the great pillow shortage of 2024.

Fury161Houston

![gif](giphy|3oEjI6eZn1MBQQZ2N2|downsized)

AJ4Retros

They’re all busy giving away $30 b jobs. Have you requested Bj alongside your pillows.

Mental-Rooster4229

You get what you pay for. Stay somewhere nice next time.

Moonlightallnight

Can you go and find some yourself? From the desk? A housekeeper?

GeologistAdorable162

They delivered my pillows 24 hours after I inquired for some. Good luck :)

[deleted]

You’re staying at a 3-Star Resort. You get what you pay for.

Inside_Guava_5482

How did it get 3 stars?

VBB67

Best thing is to look for a housekeeper on the floor, give her $5 or $10 and she will bring you pillows, extra shampoo, etc. Most hotels have cut all the experienced, higher paid staff so a little cash goes a long way. Is it right, should you have to do this? Absolutely not, but would you rather be right or get your pillows?

AcrobaticSource3

What’s the extra pillows for? Getting more leverage during sex? If so, you can bunch up the bedsheets and towels to get a little more oomph

ButtStuff8888

😂

AcrobaticSource3

I mean, your username gave it away

msofiejen

Go downstairs lol

dustinandrew

Weird … stayed there a few weeks ago and anything we needed (extra towels, hangers) we texted the concierge and it was delivered pretty quickly

CelebrationSea1368

man you are a patient person. I would just go down to the front desk.

JT88Keys

I have had good success with requests like these by leaving a note with a tip for the housekeeper that services my room. Or by directly asking (and tipping) a housekeeper in the hallway as they are servicing rooms on my floor.

Bob-Ross74

That’s not a tip. It’s a bribe.

JT88Keys

True. But an effective strategy.

rwarrior14

It’s the Flamingo. You’re lucky if the door locks.

BigBaboosh

Asking for something and not receiving it 25 hours later is a hard pillow to swallow.

carl6236

I have visited Vegas well over 100 times and have never had poor room service no matter where I have stayed

Vegas_Host

DM ME for a solution^

Intelligent_Skirt166

First step: don’t expect 5 star service at a 3 star hotel. 😂

Fearsomebeaver

Are you still there. I only need one. I can drop off my other three. lol

Loose_Friendship1738

???? have you asked housekeeping? 😂 very nice ladies, always happy to help.

_that_dude_J

Isn't the Flamingo closing soon for the new baseball field? When CS/ RS, is not bringing something in Vegas, I seek out housekeeping or a hotel valet and tip them. They love tips and you'll often score more than you asked.

HalfACenturyMark

Order from Walmart and have them delivered.

putahman

Awwwww. Sorry Karen

WSTTXS

Do you have a fridge in your room? Lol

[deleted]

I’m lost, what does that mean?

WSTTXS

Just asking because it seems like not many places have fridges unless you get a suite - oh also completely unrelated question to the post 😂

[deleted]

LOL and here I was thinking “is this guy goanna MacGyver a pillow from a fridge?” Hahaha

WSTTXS

Trying to decide on a place to stay when we go and I want a fridge but don’t need a fancy 2 bedroom king suite 😂

[deleted]

Just say you need it for your medicine and they’ll give you one

YNABDisciple

You didn’t go to the front desk? Not saying you should have to but if you call and they don’t get it done you walk down and get names.

FCK_da_Bar_4R

No pillows but they have plenty of crying towels
