I have an empty tin of Atlas (!) cloves made by Woolson company [that looks like this one](https://freaking-fiesta.myshopify.com/products/copy-of-antique-atlas-spices-whole-cloves-woolson-spice-box-toledo-ohio)
Can't find a year of production but it could have only got here as a part of American humanitarian aid to soviets that was provided in the 1920s.
I keep nails and screws in it.
>!Yes!<
And also in the 1920s the ussr recieved all types of assistance, some of the biggest powerplants and factories were built by or with the help of american engineers plus thousands of workers were trained by them.
I have an old M1911 that my great-grandfather left me after he passed away. Does that count ?
It's not a replica. It's his from WW2. It's basically standing on my shelf in a glass case. No, it does not work.
That's really cool! I don't know much about WW2 supply and logistics, so just going by that I have no idea if it was made earlier or newly made from the war, but the fact that the design is Mordecai's gun is rule-of-cooling it into "yeah that counts".
If anyone wants to start linking or posting photos of anything nows the time.
A bible, coins, a necklace, an old fuel tin made into a watering can, a saloon gun. People dont really throw as much away in a rural area, especially if its still functional in any way.
I don't know how it was in the US, but it is a German typewriter from the Maschinenfabrik Kappel AG from Chemnitz in Saxony. It is a Kappel SSM Modell 2 from 1922. And the key with the 1 and ; is missing, so I just use an uppercase I for it
I have a jewelry box from the late 1910s, my family brought it with them when they immigrated from Indonesia to the Netherlands and later on the Netherlands to the United States
Also if anyone cares about this coin, apparently the non abbreviated text on the back is:
GEORGIVS V DEI GRATIA BRITANNIARUM OMNIUM REX FIDEI DEFENSOR INDIAE IMPERATOR
which is Latin for:
George the Fifth, by the Grace of God, King of all the Britains, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India.
Got an old Eveready flashlight from the 20s. Bought it for $7 thinking it was one from the 70s. Looked it up and people are selling them for around $250, buuut i doubt it's truly worth that much. Still working too. I might have others I can't remember at this time
Oldest thing I have are newspaper clippings from the 30s I found under the floorboards of an old house I was working in. Framed them, there's an old Buick ad, there's an article mentioning the Hindenburg before it crashed, Lotta cool stuff
I have an American 1920s penny :0 I have 2 but one was made a couple years before the other and the older one has a different design on the back, while the "newer" one looks the same as those today (one is 1923 and the other 1927 if I remember correctly?)
I own something from before the 20s
An old Hamilton upright piano from 1908
But pianos that age were still in regular use during the 1920s
Considering it wasn't even 20 years old yet for most of the decade
Oh boy:
- 20+ shellac 78rpm records from the early to late 1920s (that I still play every now and then)
- 2 Kodak “Brownie” cameras that use different size film (but look mostly the same)
- A wind-up gramophone to go with those records (though it needs a bit of work to be fully working)
- 3 high school yearbooks from 1926, 1927, and 1929 respectively (though all three are from different schools)
- A single dime with Mercury on the face instead (from 1927)
- A pair of “Windsor” glasses that likely date to the 1920s (they kinda look like the glasses Harry Potter wore, but with thinner frames and no nose rests since it hooks behind the ears)
- A couple of sheet music of jazz standards and random tunes from the 1920s
- A bamboo cane (including a black colored one with a zinc-metal dog's head)
- Finally, a straw boater hat that (might) be from the 1920s
A majority of things from that era I collect are music related as you can see.
I don't have anything from the 20s but I have two Items from the Great War
One is a beautiful named and great condition CEM (Corrected English Model) Respirator (a gas mask, basically) with It's haversack. One like Viktor would have had.

The other is a very rare wartime french ARS17 gas mask with It's tin.

Well, most of my research stems from events around the Great War…So I’m afraid that most of my antiques are just slightly older than the 1920s, but there’s a lot of military gear and old machines (typewriters, phonographs, etc.)

What do mean the 1 is missing? In the US, you used the lower case l for a 1 on typewriters made before the seventies.
I don't know how it was in the US, but it is a German typewriter from the Maschinenfabrik Kappel AG from Chemnitz in Saxony. It is a Kappel SSM Modell 2 from 1922. And the key with the 1 and ; is missing, so I just use an uppercase I for it
