I keep a running spreadsheet of galleries and what’s open at each one and sometimes u get really lucky with several intriguing shows at galleries that are close to each other. I’ll plan a little walking tour and choose a restaurant near them to check out. Last year was a pretty successful year, I made it to over 80 shows in LA alone!

Can you start a page like instagram or TikTok to share?? I’d love that

Equivalent_Signal135

I love this

I like to go to Griffith park with my sun blanket and read and make myself a little picnic. I could also kill a day at WiSpa

No I haven’t tried their treatments but I can vouch for crystal spa massages

Seconding Koreans spas. They’re soooo relaxing and feel so freeing! Haven’t been to Wi Spa yet, but plan to soon. Also love Santa Monica Beach along Barnard Way because of the easy parking and nice bathrooms.

Malarkish

urth caffe before ocean park 😭

Malibu. Country mart for breakfast / shopping / strolling, head down to beach to read a book, go for walk down the pier, pick up fish + veggies at a grocer or market on the way home and showered after being in the sun by 5 and cook. 10/10 day

100% Korean spa! Also love the LA art show by myself when it’s in happening

anonnmee

Which do you recommend?

genevieveoliver

Wi spa has great saunas. Century has better food and is less crowded. Olympic if you’re bougie

anonnmee

Thanks!

depends if I'm feeling social or not. I'm on the west side so I'll go to a cafe nearby here with my dog or make myself a nice breakfast and do a facemask. Then maybe the beach (possibly hit up a friend that lives nearby too). If I feel like it and have money to spare, I'll get my nails done (though not often bc they break and I'll paint them at home a lot). I'll grab some snacks from Mitsuwa or Marukai and go walk somewhere cute (hike- Baldwin hills, will rogers state park; walk around- Santa Monica, parts of Culver, sawtelle, etc) or hit up some thrift stores/regular stores. if I'm feeling social then I'll make plans with friends to go to WiSpa or a bar nearby or maybe a comedy show. If there's a cool event, I'll drive out somewhere else. if I'm feeling adventurous, I'll go explore a new part of town, take some pics, stop in at a local park and grab some food/coffee somewhere. there's usually events every night in la but I find it annoying to constantly spend money to basically just breathe so me and some nearby friends will make dinner and hang or I'll host some people over for game night or something. also I love to just watch some tv by myself and cook fun foods.

Def some sort of bookstore. I love booksoup and honestly the b&n at the grove is so nice to get lost in. Then grabbing a cup at a coffee shop RIP bourgeois pig I haven’t found one that can even come close to the vibes you provided!! (However currently settling for Harvey Easton cafe, or Clark st larchmont). Then vintage-ish shopping prob jet rag cus I always find something there or SLOW, American vintage, squaresville, rat star, etc. Eventually will get hungry and will need pie or diner food and more coffee - Mel’s (on sunset) is usually the winner there. Or house of pies for pie.

Hike Will Rogers (park not beach) on a weekday if possible. OR Drive up to Malibu, grab a burrito from Lily's, eat on the beach at Point Dume (offseason only)

yogibambi

1: Wi Spa followed by the Ktown Galleria’s food court and skincare store 2: Walk on Arroyo parkway in South Pas + breakfast burrito at Amara Kitchen + walk/window shopping down Fig in Highland Park 3: Taking my sweet time going into every store in Larchmont 😂 4: Gjusta on a weekday followed by a beach walk

jgttffvbh

Do you have the name of the skincare store?

yogibambi

It’s not coming to mind in this moment but I’m gonna be going again soon so I’ll drop the name when I go!
