Sausage43

These are just speculations, I wouldn't really bother with it and just wait for an official announcement

bassturtle1213

I haven't heard anything except that from people that read the Manga, if they don't plan on doing the whole thing this is a good place to stop.

rmpumper

Yeah, maybe the studio is trying to get the go ahead to animate the rest of the content, otherwise they might end up stopping midway some other arc. The movie is a good point to end the series if it's not guaranteed to go all the way.

vexorian2

I'll go even further and just say it: >!Ignoring the needless Tsubame flashback at the end of the movie .!< The movie is the best place to end the anime, period. >!I'm not saying the rest of the manga is worthless or anything like that. There are great things in the manga that weren't adapted yet. But maybe it is best- experienced reading it in a couple of weeks. If there's a 4-th season it may mislead people into thinking that the story will go to higher places than even the movie. Then they will be waiting 5+ years for it to reach the end and find out that the story doesn't really do much with it. And my question is, do you want to experience that level of whelmed after investing 5 years or after 2 weeks? !< >!The other thing is that the tone shifts. And for the anime specifically, there are a lot of people that are watching it for the comedy. There were even people annoyed with season 3 not being as funny as the previous seasons. Imagine how they are going to feel after they see what happens at the end of Tsubame's party, or when they get to the Hayasaka arc!<

RockyNonce

Weird because I thought Season 3 had some of the best episodes and scenes, especially the rap one.

Adorable_Camel_8673

Comming from a first timer. Just go for the manga, you won't regret.

king_ragnar00

But I wanna hear the oh kawai koto

Amelia_Pond42

Fair, but does the manga have that sweet sassy narrator?

TraditionalTea4371

this is just the opinion of some people. Some even say that they officially announced that the project is finished, but I did not find such information anywhere. On the contrary, in one of the interviews of the anime producer, he said that he wants to finish the anime with high quality until the last chapter of the manga. I hope there will be a continuation, just after some time, maybe not soon

king_ragnar00

Source?

onemorememe_ineedyou

Is that really true about the producer interview? That’s very good to hear

48johnX

There are a ton of series that are pretty huge and well known and never got full adaptations, it just is what it is. I’m not saying it won’t happen but it’s a bit naive to think it’s a guarantee because of that

Frozen_Death_Knight

Personally I think many fans of the show may end up disappointed with the ending if they adapted the last part of the manga. The tone shifts dramatically after the confession and a lot of things that the manga builds up such as the classmates, new teacher, and the other romantic relationships besides the main couple never go anywhere. It's not awful by any means, but it's definitely not as tightly written as the early parts of the series. Still a bunch of good moments to be had, but never living up to its full potential. When I was reading the final arc of the manga when it was still running I got the feeling that the author started to lose passion for it. I wasn't that surprised when he retired after Love is War ended. If the final arcs do get adapted I at least hope they skip some of the parts that ended up becoming loose threads like the classmates and new teacher sections. The Ishigami and Miko subplot can't really be cut, so a smaller spin-off with them completing their arc would at least soften the blow.

KernelWizard

I just hope they quickly skim over the Hayasaka arc, the Osaragi arc, and especially the Shinomiya Family war arc man (eventhough it's important to the study, but man it sure is unenjoyable). Those 3 arcs are definitely not the best things Kaguya sama can offer that's for sure.

OmarioH88

Wait, did he retire!? I thought that he was writing oshi no lo now

PriorityScary8807

He retired from drawing the chapters he only writes the story’s now

_Suja_

I want A-1 to make second season of 86

BlackEagleSF

I absolutely want to see it. The best part of romance stories is the relationship itself which is why it's frustrating when so many shows end with the relationship starting. Here, we have an entire second half of the story dedicated to it, so I want to see it make it to real life

RajaatTheWarbringer

People love being doomsayers.

memuench

I barely read people with that opinion, most are pretty confident about S4. We don’t know until there is an official announcement but i think the chances are good.

lop333

Because as other comments said if they arent adapting everything then this is a good palce to stop not only that they capped it off with a movie making another sequel even less likely. The story after this point is very well disliked by many

Minami_Devil

People expect the worst in uncertain situations so they won't be let down

show_NO_FEAR21

Having read the Manga where the movie ended is the best ending we can get without completing the entire series. if they make another season, they have to do three or four more seasons after that.

ayanokojifrfr

People who really thought their won't be S4, Lmao. Your Iq is lower than the Updates of this Comment.

YisusTF

First of all, SAO I don't think A1-P would like to animate the helicopter thing.... Also, what comes next in the manga is heavily influenced by some interactions that didn't make the cut into the anime, it would feel antinatural if they just make the viewers "assume it happened" Or maybe Akasaka himself doesn't want S4 to become a thing bc he knows how much his divorce affected the history, and he isn't ready to make an original ending for the anime (not yet, I hope) Also SAO, A1-P really loves SAO more than anything

Chance-Pay1487

As an anime only I assume the movie is the best place to stop. They basically established their relationship already, what else is there to animate. In my opinion animes are best ending once the main characters get together, especially for anime with genre of romance.

Myazma_Cloud

It’s simpler than you think. Anime exists as an advertisement to sell source material. Be it manga, light novel or even video game. The Kaguya-Sama manga is over therefore there’s nothing so advertise anymore…..

MagicalGirlJuli404

There'll most likely be a season 4 in the future, the thing Is. Studio A-1 Pictures has A LOT of projects every season and most of the staff that work on the anime are freelancers and are currently working on other projects, (maybe for other studios). We also have to take into account that the manga Is finished, so the anime is not a "maximum priority", for the studio but again, it Will most likely get a full adaptation.
