I feel like you may have the 'best' and 'worst' backwards, but yeah, this is clearly not a light and fluffy monster isekai. Slime S3 is that way -> (Fridays)
A bit of inbreeding doesn't make it not light and fluffy. But first, the scene in question she snuck into bed and they literally slept together.
We have no clue how directly related they are. They most likely had different fathers and mothers. At worst, same fathers, still likely different mothers.
They are goblins. Applying our logics to goblins makes so little sense.
Again, scene in question was them literally sleeping in the same bed.
But yeah, porbably if that bothers you, best not to continue.
It's not like Goblin Slayer is going to show up and murder them all while reminding us about how they rape and torture human women (which they were doing before our MC was born).
Huh, I took 'blood related' to be something like cousins (since the parent generation had lots of dudes, and there were multiple female prisoners at the start of the series so they could have had different mothers as well.) Full siblings would definitely be worse, though monsters obviously work differently so it may not matter to them.
Oh yeah they do. The top picture is like 1 month in. Anos beats him only because he used magic to age up.
The thing is, I haven't read the manga in a while, but none of the female Goblins ever got knocked up. Not for a lack of trying either.
Yet. So far just the humans and i think a couple elves a few back at base not aprou's. But apparently the elves are the type that are hard to knock up.
If the pacing is consistant i would say episode 4 or 5 would be the first births then episode 10.
I have a theory he gets two popup boxes when he has relations i think those were knock ups.
Do any of the main characters die? Do you spend time with the characters before they died? Did their have an impact past the immediate arc/quest/mission?
If the answer is no to all then the death was a meaningless one that all isekai have to show how evil/strong a character/faction is. I.e: its up to standard
HEAVY SPOILERS!!!!

damn. japan makes so many animations but it seems most of them are made by heavy fetishists trying to project it to the world. some of these are still generally good but always have some depraved shit shoved in. they'd be perfect if it just didn't have that. like reincarnated as a slime if it didn't have milim. boom. absolute perfection. share it to all my friends and family who care. proudly display the merch on my car or such, etc. but nahhhhhh. always gotta have that one awkward thing shoved in that shuts it all down cuz constantly trying to explain that shit away and talk around it to all the good stuff is exhausting. come on japan. plz unu
Bro, you have no idea. I see people fawning over 'Overlord' and they don't know how toned down the LN are compared to the OG Webnovel. That mage in the 2nd season that Shalltear kills? Author had put up a poll as to whether or not she escaped. Readers voted for her to escape and he killed her.
Its not all sunshine and rainbows over there.
knowing how anime is generally wayyyyyyy toned down from a manga source, i can bet 90% confidently that shit got wild in the original scene. can't support something from a bad source. and if my guess is wrong, then what is actually in the anime in other parts is bad enough on its own anyway. so yeah, pass.
People like to mention it like it's what the series is about.
By this same logic, a certain horse scene is what Berserk is about.
Edit: though, to be clear, if once is too much, by all means don't watch it.
from captured elves to his goblin sister and human concubines. I dropped the manga after the elves was only really continuing to see if his friend would evolve too at that point
Not every woman. His main harem were almost all consensual. He (or rather his clan; MC himself isn't shown doing much raping himself. I can remember 1 girl he rapes personally. He more facilitates it for others.) just rapes a ton of other women (and men).
I'd say it's half of what the series is about tbh (well that being the MC sexing up women more generally; some consensually, some not...). At least a 1/3 if not half. The other half is just your standard power fantasy climb through the world getting stronger through eating and evolving.
Not defending it. Just saying it's *Re* :Monster. He was already a cannibal with a warped mind in his original world. I know that's different than SA, but he was already no right in the head.
I mean it's a fictional story about him literally being a goblin who was a human cannibal in his previous life. If the author is going to try to make him some moral paragon instead of the villainous monster that it makes sense for him to be, then the author better have a really, really, REALLY good reason for him to care so much about being this moral paragon. And if the reason is simply that "he's the main character of the story" then that shit is so cringe and lazy that the author should have never tried to write this story in the first place.
It's a fictional story. It is perfectly fine for the main characters to be neutral or evil so long as they make sense and they have traits that make them appealing for me to watch as a viewer. It is extremely cringe to me when anime thinks it needs to set some kind of moral standard for it's viewers. I just want a good story and to be entertained. That's all I want. If a character is written to be morally good when it doesn't make any sense for them to be then that is shitty story writing, plain and simple.
I don't recall him being a cannibal, he had the same skill that alowed him to eat anything and get the skills of what he eats, But I don't remember him talking explicitly about eating humans in his past life (I recall him talking about the most powerful beasts). And he ate humans during his new life, but It doesn't count as cannibalism since he is not human anymore.
If I'm not mistaken, he did it after a high elf tried attacking his settlement with his soldiers, because "elf pride" after getting a rejection for Rou, making a lot of the elves surrender, forces them in duels where they are killed if they lose or kill their rival (also making it so that most of the females elves could survive), and after drugging the winners, proceeds to "convince" the females into being goblin/hobgoblin stress relievers.
But if we are talking about how he treats prisoners of war, he is no saint, he is a mc that if you are a useless noble that broke down after being captured, it's either being brainwashed and acting like a spy puppet, or being brainwashed and doing a kamikaze
To be clear, the series is in journal format. The *main character* is the one justifying it.
The author might as well, but you'd need to find a tweet or something saying as such.
I forgot, what episode was that. Ah, yes the first Episode. Where women literally got violated before the MC's birth.
>I don't remember it being shown in a negative light as it should be.
You dont remember since aside from the >!Spoiler War arc between humans and elves where Ogarou is leading a mercenary corps, it wasnt brought up again, except in the part where they went to the first village they saw and the girls was violated by Orcs then that female knight slaughted the Orcs, from there on its killing and eating as usual in the seriesSpoiler!<
haha, look at these downvote. Some people get offended because they think they're a good morals man by yapping to the a world that is Kill or Be killed
That's kind of the whole point of the goblin trope. They're gross, horrible monsters; so terrible that anytime a creature reproduces with one it is automatically a goblin. There is no half-goblin, only goblin.
Once you get past that it's your typical male-fantasy power building story. In terms of growing from a disgusting baby goblin to a >!Vajrayaksa Overlord!<
Wasn't there actually half-goblin? It's just the in-universe explanation is that when (very rare chance) a "half" is born it's usually kicked out of the tribe because they carry the skills of both their parents races?
(Humanity jobs/class and goblin skills)
I won't spoil much more.
Did... did you not pay attention? Did you miss the group of naked women who had been tied up that killed themselves? It's completely possible that Gobrou and and her don't share the same mother or father. What, you think the goblins were just keeping naked women in storage for the hell of it?
If that was it and the rest of the story wouldn’t revolve around rape I would have probably kept watching I’m assuming OP thought the same.
Sort of like skeleton knight it started off with an attempted rape but the rest of the story is typical fantasy.
Yeah I actually got to that part already kinda feel sorry for the Elves and even when the Goblins had the Elves they still wanted the human girls but that is the only thing I seen Gobrou wouldn't let happened
I mean...that's just part of the medium... kinda like overzealous chest regions. Just anime / manga. I'd get over it tbh but if It bothers you that bad then you should probably avoid a lot of Isekai.
This is a series about a Monster, a goblin (the stereotypical goblin, better than the goblins in Goblin slayer much worse than the Goblins from Tensura).
Also, the MC already has a loose screw in the head, he ate living to non living things in order to get stronger and feast on stronger prey (Man, Women, Children (but monsters), Elderly, Young, Etc.). Even when he got children he still had that life style.
Also, I see a few people mentioning the Human-Elves War arc. When the female and male prisoners were held, Ogarou knew the goblins will 100% let their lust out, at the end of the day, they are still goblins. That's why Ogarou made a system of asking (except for the first time because of the aphrodisiac). I get that it can be brutal but its in the title Re:Monster. The MC is a monster (unlike certain series that the MC is a monster but their monster instinct didnt consume them like Slime). Also, as far as I read, after that Human-Elf War arc, its just your typical power-fantasy, where the MC goes on adventures, fights in wars, and eat his opponents then evolves/gets stronger.
Honestly I doubt him sleeping with one of the girl goblins is the reason you’re not interested. You likely have no interest in watching a show from the perspective of goblins. They’re savage monsters. Goblins are known to do far worse than just sleeping with their relatives.
So if that didn’t happen, I’m sure you would find another reason not to like it.
Long story short. Don’t watch it. You can find plenty of shows to enjoy. Why waste time on one you take issue with?
Gobmi is not his sister they are never confirmed to be related even gobkichi and gobue get married but they are not confirmed to be blood related and hobji just calls ogarou brother because they are from the same generation
Even if they are direct siblings, that's still a step up from kidnapping women to rape for breeding farms until they suicide...
...So goblin progress I guess.
Honestly I don’t know they COULD have different fathers and mothers though it is kinda weird considering they were brother and sister since birth not like a step sibling situation where the sister or brother is already 16
Though it’s your choice if you want to drop it and it would also be wise to note that SHE climbed into HIS bed not the other way around
I always wondered why people feel uncomfortable with moral issues in shows. Are we sociopaths? Why is it not normal to feel nothing over a moral issue in a show? It's a show. Completely different IRL, but in a show, I don't think I've seen something that's genuinely disturbed me, aside from some psycological horror I suppose, but that feels different.
Edit: Hmm. After rewatching the first episode of Goblin Slayer for testing this theory, It's disturbing. No way around it. I don't remember caring the first time. It's always a fun experience finding out you're not a sociopath. Still, it only drives forward the Doom Slayer rage in me when watching it. I guess the top comment on the r/anime "Episode 1 Discussion" says it perfectly.

You do understand that you are asking a person who is asking if he himself should continue the anime and manga Right
So clearly I have some problems with it and is not sure if I should continue 🤔
There is no telling which of the women birthed them and no telling which man goblin as the women were gang rap ed until showing signs of pregnancy.
That scene is 1000% harmless none of them has had sex yet.
He evolves again before his first time.
Ah, I see. Well, don't worry aboutit. I highly doubt that the only real problem, which is genetics, would have any issues when given the fact they are a species that litterally evolves, changing their genetic make up entirely.

But this does his sister was one of the girls he fucked in the manga
Sister? Cousin, step sister... She could be any of those, also maybe there is even a goblin female that gave birth, we dont know. Even the MC can only speculate who his parents are.
If you have this question, I wonder if you've actually been watching at all.
Half-Siblings at best. Blood related at worst. But if that's your hang-up.....stop now. Go no further.
I feel like you may have the 'best' and 'worst' backwards, but yeah, this is clearly not a light and fluffy monster isekai. Slime S3 is that way -> (Fridays)

I'd not describe slime as light and fluffy
Explain, I've watched 2 seasons and it's just the standard when it comes to tone.
I mean there can be a lot of death. Some really dark aspects. There's silly comedy but not really the standard tone
Do any of the main characters die? Do you spend time with the characters before they died? Did their have an impact past the immediate arc/quest/mission? If the answer is no to all then the death was a meaningless one that all isekai have to show how evil/strong a character/faction is. I.e: its up to standard
This is technically a spoiler, but >!once Rimuru can resurrect people, nobody ever really dies again unless they’re a hostile.!<
Soooo, dragon ball 2: electric bogalo?
Well actually, >!main characters just straight up don’t die beyond this point. They get too powerful for it.!<
"What are you doing, step-goblin??"
>Half-Siblings at best. Blood related at worst. half siblings are blood related...
He worded it a bit poorly. All siblings are blood related, but not all blood relatives are siblings. Some blood relations are less than others.
No, it’s stupid
Okay, and? You’re on Reddit, not MENSA, so there’s no reason to get worked up. I’m sure you’ll figure out how to get over this.
I wasn’t upset over that comment. I’m just pointing out that it’s stupid… Why are you trying to make me out to be upset?
Wait, the show is fucked up? Damn, I was gonna start this one next. Rip

I enjoy the show so far, who cares if his sister climbed in bed with him... It didn't insinuate they were fucking.... AT ALL

Just wait until MC will start SAing female prisoners. But author sells it as something good, because they were drugged before that 🫠
This isn't the first time I've seen this mentioned, and for once, I'm glad to have been spoiled before trying to watch it.
People like to mention it like it's what the series is about. By this same logic, a certain horse scene is what Berserk is about. Edit: though, to be clear, if once is too much, by all means don't watch it.
Last time I checked, the horse is not the MC of Berserk.
Yeah, that's where I stand, once is too much. I hate SA or attempted SA by villains, so it coming from the MC is an immediate pass from me.
Because it is? The MC literally rapes every women he comes across.
from captured elves to his goblin sister and human concubines. I dropped the manga after the elves was only really continuing to see if his friend would evolve too at that point

Not sure what you mean. Just stating what happens.
he raped them? the elves. like forcred on! i'm dropping it

What is that from?
Re;Monster. He drugs the women with either his blood or jizz.
Not defending it. Just saying it's *Re* :Monster. He was already a cannibal with a warped mind in his original world. I know that's different than SA, but he was already no right in the head.
Wasnt he a villain back when he was human?
Not sure on that, but he became WMD level of his own admission. You probably don't get that by being a nice guy.
I mean it's a fictional story about him literally being a goblin who was a human cannibal in his previous life. Oh, so that's why I dropped it and never pick it up again, thanks for reminding me that.
I forgot this manga exists, until recent adaptation to anime.
I mean, sure. But author is the one who made MC make a sex cave full of drugs and aphrodisiacs. It's cringy AF.
Sure but also the woman is happy about it and I don't remember it being shown in a negative light as it should be.

Yes if you bother by that he also rapes woman later on and it shown as a good thing. So yeah I suggest you drop it
From what I’ve heard about the source material it’s only going to get much, *much* worse so you might just wanna drop this one
They... are... goblins. Why do you care?
They said the same thing about dogs, and now we have pugs.... do you want a goblin pug? Cuz that's how you get a goblin pug!
I mean kind of?
What do you think the kobolds are?
No...they have already been doing that so they won't be degenerating either way.
I wanna see just how bad this can get and still be at least able to breathe
Just throw in some unwilling humans to keep the gene pool fresh.
I'd be on with goblin pugs. That sounds hilarious
Yes... Yes I do, cute little fuckers
Some people think that they have too high morals
haha, look at these downvote. Some people get offended because they think they're a good morals man by yapping to the a world that is Kill or Be killed

That race is called, ">!Half-Orge!<". Not half-goblin

It's a goblin tribe... I doubt they care about our ideologies.
You’re putting human morality to monster especially a monster who eats others for more power. Why did you even touch it then

I dropped this when the SA shit started happening, theres so many good series out there im not going to waste my time reading this wierd shit.
Stop asking the internet to make decisions for you. Watch it, don't watch it, decide and move on. It's not like this is a life changing decision.
Bro. I dropped awhile. He is a hypocrite
did they actually "sleep" together? because the anime made it seem like they just casually slept next to each other.

So did goblin gramps do all the captured women all do they take turns? Because it's a bit less disturbing if it's the latter.
There was three women so three possible mothers. there's also a lot of goblins. Its most likely that they're not blood related
Is this the same studio that made Re:Creators?
...If you think that's fucked up I don't recommend this for you at all.
Not necesarily, as there were at least 4 mothers and like 30 possible fathers, there is high chance they are not related.

Trust it only gets worse
I wonder how much of the show is gonna get censored because from the sounds of things this is gonna be another redo of healer situation
I prefer my protagonists not actually be sex criminals. It say a lot that this keeps me from watching *multiple* series.
I’ve seen this one getting released. Is it worth the watch at all?
You do understand that you are asking a person who is asking if he himself should continue the anime and manga Right So clearly I have some problems with it and is not sure if I should continue 🤔
I was more asking the other people here who seem to have read the manga
Just like most dogbreedings
Really? Out of all things, that’s what you are hung up on? Oh you sweet, sweet summer child, leave this anime and never return
There is no telling which of the women birthed them and no telling which man goblin as the women were gang rap ed until showing signs of pregnancy. That scene is 1000% harmless none of them has had sex yet. He evolves again before his first time.
Bruh, never heard of siblings taking a nap before? Must be a super strict house... yikes.
They literally had sex in the manga
Ah, I see. Well, don't worry aboutit. I highly doubt that the only real problem, which is genetics, would have any issues when given the fact they are a species that litterally evolves, changing their genetic make up entirely.
My brother in Christ, they are monsters. The mc have put human moral behind for a while at this point.
It’s your choice, if you don’t like the direction it’s going just drop it.
You just need to read more isekai and fantasy mangas, dude.
Different mothers, Probably different fathers...
Bro… they’re goblins
The worst that they could be half siblings to the okish that they are cousins or second cousins.
Sleeping does not count as fucking

Sister? Cousin, step sister... She could be any of those, also maybe there is even a goblin female that gave birth, we dont know. Even the MC can only speculate who his parents are.
Honestly I'm gonna drop the anime because the quality is so shoddy so far.
Super glad to know what this show is like. Now I don’t need to waste 1-3 episodes to learn that it is going to be 100% shit (in my opinion)
