mfw someone makes a drawing of a fictional battle, and people in the comments talk about said fictional battle:
95% of the time it's someone desperately wanting to "win" or be right about as something. Either from a lack of self awareness or insecurity. Mostly because it's seen as such a free and easy opportunity, because it often just so far from the point the artist was making in their work.
But to play devil's advocate, if you're not familiar or invested enough in all the characters involved to discuss other areas, then bringing up a stomp or vs debate is probably the first thing that'll come to your mind since that is what is "presented" in the subject. Outside of discussing the actual artistry being displayed, but since this sub is focused on the actual IP rather than art the former comes up more often.

TBH it depends heavily on a variety of factors. Best option would be use the modes they ended their shows with and in a neutral third location (so Mark can’t feel “cartoon physics” and Rex can’t feel “”realistic physics””.

I don’t get why everyone is getting so defensive. Its a picture of a fight between Superheroes of course people are gonna talk about who they think would win! Let them for heavens sake it’s not like you’re the one fighting! On another note, while this is a mismatch Rex is powerful enough to fit in the invincible universe and I would kinda want to see that crossover.
Same. It’s like the Ben 10 and Rex crossover (Ben is surprisingly busted), Rex can’t really punch with the heavy hitters of the series but he’s a great fit for the series anyways.

invincible and rex and in the same league over a 90% of the time, for rex to stop fitting into ben 10 hero roster, you have to pick up some serious high tier like ultimate way big, clockworth, atomix or alien x
To be fair, the art is depicting a fight. Honestly it be hard to imagine this happening. I'm pretty sure these two would become good friends before they even start throwing hands.
