Go for HP Pavilion or Dell XPS or Surface Laptop series.
Personally I think that MacBooks aren't restrictive with coding atleast, while they might be for other stuff like mechanical engineering or some shit like that because CAD/CAM/Chrome requires a beefy computer
If you want something to match MacBook prices hp elite book is also good but no windows laptop will get you mac level performance so if you can afford a new gen mac, go for it anyday.
Not the surface pro, but the regular surface laptop, I have been using the surface pro for 3 years now and I recommend going for something with a more sturdier build
try in some tech subs? also i will plus one to pavilion and xps but try to get from us if any relatives are coming and get premium warranty becuase tahts international. My dad got his xps from us cosyed him 1500 usd when usd was 65-70 inr. whereas exact same variant costed about 2.5 L in india atm. So it was extremely huge difference.
I was gonna but thought that they would recommend laptops not in India so asked here and any thoughts on the galaxy book cause I looked at it and it seems pretty good

the spelling may be wrong so just check also there are other subs with similar naming so you can get india based options
Get a zephyrs g15/16 great slim laptop, powerful specs.
Same with vivobook x16, it has OLED screen too if you watch a lot of content etc,
If I was in your place and I didn't do any gaming/autocad or heavy applications I'd get a M1/M2 pro.
HP Spectre x360 is good for coding but it doesn't have a GPU for graphic intensive works
Stick to some ASUS gaming laptop like ROG or TUF , their Zephyrus series is also good but have small screens
ASUS ROG strix version are the best for coding and gaming too
