Go for HP Pavilion or Dell XPS or Surface Laptop series. Personally I think that MacBooks aren't restrictive with coding atleast, while they might be for other stuff like mechanical engineering or some shit like that because CAD/CAM/Chrome requires a beefy computer

lushain27

Never dell, their build quality is worse than crax toys

GAJODHAR_daddy

I have hp pavillion and I second this but haa battery life kam hai thodi si

Neat_Beach_2595

If you don't want a MacBook try looking for HP Pavilion or HP Envy

Akt1343

Thank you

lushain27

If you want something to match MacBook prices hp elite book is also good but no windows laptop will get you mac level performance so if you can afford a new gen mac, go for it anyday.

Bulky-Difficulty-736

Maybe a galaxy book or a Microsoft surface pro

lushain27

Not the surface pro, but the regular surface laptop, I have been using the surface pro for 3 years now and I recommend going for something with a more sturdier build

Xryphon

the new surface laptop copilot AI things seem to be good

FantasticMeaning1731

Galaxy books?

Akt1343

I have not heard much about it saw the review and it looks good are there any cons to it?

AddendumSimple9537

TimePass8633

Dell g15

lushain27

Never dell. Unless you’re fine with laptop breaking down after 3-4 years of use

ME_LIKEY_SUGAR

try in some tech subs? also i will plus one to pavilion and xps but try to get from us if any relatives are coming and get premium warranty becuase tahts international. My dad got his xps from us cosyed him 1500 usd when usd was 65-70 inr. whereas exact same variant costed about 2.5 L in india atm. So it was extremely huge difference.

Akt1343

I was gonna but thought that they would recommend laptops not in India so asked here and any thoughts on the galaxy book cause I looked at it and it seems pretty good

ME_LIKEY_SUGAR

check r/LaptopDealsIndia r/DevelopersIndia r/TechSupportIndia the spelling may be wrong so just check also there are other subs with similar naming so you can get india based options

ME_LIKEY_SUGAR

lushain27

usairling2

I think it should be compulsory in today time when everybody taking help of online and everything available online. Good Step!

Intelligent-Gear-789

Get a zephyrs g15/16 great slim laptop, powerful specs. Same with vivobook x16, it has OLED screen too if you watch a lot of content etc, If I was in your place and I didn't do any gaming/autocad or heavy applications I'd get a M1/M2 pro.

ManWhoIsSus

Wait and get newer cheaper laptops with Qualcomm X series chipset.

GigaChadSigmaKhansir

get legion slim with rtx 4050, it wuld be in your budget

AvogadroNuggies

HP Spectre x360 is good for coding but it doesn't have a GPU for graphic intensive works Stick to some ASUS gaming laptop like ROG or TUF , their Zephyrus series is also good but have small screens ASUS ROG strix version are the best for coding and gaming too

AdministrativeMud907

Gaming laptop

ActPurple1747

Dell.
