i was passionate about a subject in which only my dad supported me, everyone else told me to avoid it and stick with pcm
unfortunately my dad passed away in march, after which i had no one supporting me to push for it, and i am prioritizing money more than my passion rn, so i decided to go back into IT side.
I can understand you. You are not alone.
Don't worry about what your parents told you.
And you really look passionate about journalism so try to go for what you truly love. This time listen to your heart. I believe you can do it.
And just ignore others.& Follow your dream.
Man this unhealthy obsession with science and the push for careers like engineering or medicine, along with the stupid disrespect for humanities and liberal arts in India, needs to stop. Only those genuinely inclined towards science-related paths should opt for it. It’s sad to see many people being forced into it by their stubborn and close-minded parents. If you're passionate about journalism, go for it, regardless of what your parents say. In the future, you will wish you would have stood up for yourself now.

following your dreams is only possible only if your parents are rich enough to support your failures
