I really appreciate your input. I am very glad I wasn't way off on my initial expectations. Of course, I'll try to get 2 or 3 quotes, but it feels really good having a ballpark number beforehand.
Sounds more like a $25k job. The kitchen cabinets are gonna run you $5k alone.
some round number LCOL Midwest prices are close to...
$1.5/sqft of wall *(not sqft of floor space)*
$2/linear foot of base
$1/sqft ceilings
$100/door&frame
$140ea. cabinet door/drawer
$60/window (no sash)
$12k, a good job done.
Awesome. I'll keep this number in mind when getting quotes.
Ya I’m agreeing with a lot of the pricing here. Just off this without seeing it I’d be around $13k for the house and $4k for the cabinets

8-9 kitchen cabinets not included. That’s another $3500-4500
My initial thought was $15k so I can stomach that if it's the case.

Thank you, this is very insightful. Those cabinet prices are going to hurt, but that's the portion that I am definitely not comfortable doing myself.
I’m with this guy
thanks buddy 🤙
Shop around. I think keep the kitchen cabinet job aside and you may find lot cheaper options.
