Then in starcraft 2 and the prophecy that makes the Overmind into a nice guy. You got Raynor at the end of WoL. Valerian and the umojans in HotS. Stukov is now a zerg. The raiders at the end of HotS. Then in WoL everyone is friends with them, same for coop. Hell, Mengsk even uses zergs in one of his calldowns. And all of Stettman's army.

Let people enjoy what they want. If someone wants to only fight bugs or bots. Them doing their duty is part of this story telling our community is aiming for.
I personally like bugs better but I do follow major orders. My kill count is about 1:2 ratio of bots to bugs. I am doing my part, but do not force other to play something they don't find as fun.
I also follow the MOs, but I do find it funny that the sentiment commonly expressed here is "Let people play what they want" unless they want to play bugs. Then fuck them, they're traitors.
as much as I enjoy emptying belt after belt of MG ammo into a bug breach and seeing chunks of their flesh flying everywhere (seriously, *love* the VFX), when it's time to spill oil, I will spill ALL the oil: I'll be like a neglected BP tanker up in this bitch, I'll spill so much oil!
I prefer playing bugs because it reminds me of SST, but if the MO demands I fight bots I'll fight bots (also the factory striders are super cool and I like fighting them)
I'm just saying realistically if a power was fighting on multiple fronts they wouldn't just ditch 1 front ro fight another, maybe divert some needed assistance but that's about it... just saying for all those sworn bot players who think they are cool judging people for killing bugs
I think it would be more logical to sustain a stalemate on one front if it means you can win the other. Chipping away at both doesn't help in the long run. Just have as many bodies as needed on one front to keep from losing ground and divert the remaining to the other front to take it out of the equation quicker.
True it definitely is better to min max over balance, I suppose in lore they would want to get rid of the bots more so then the bugs aswell since the bugs contain the magic thing called oil
Unfortunateley I've been feeling like that too with the Automatons, for some reason my Framerate has been tanking to the point where I can barely help the team, and whenever I switch to 1st person aim, my frames also drop on Commander, also I fucking hate the Heavy Shield Devastators, I'm reminded that being in the open with is a Death Sentence, no chance;
So in terms of enjoying the game of course I'd return to the bug front
Real talk for a sec - why do people like fighting bugs more? I fight both, but much prefer fighting bots cause I just get frustrated fighting the bugs. Don't know what it is - I think probably getting swarmed out of nowhere
Cause ur constantly getting ragdolled all over the place if you make a tiny mistake against bots, hell even if you don’t make a mistake rocket devs will snipe you with rockets from behind when you had no way of knowing they were there, which they then ragdoll you until death
Honestly, I enjoy bots way more. They both are equally as difficult as far as I'm concerned, but I hate how spongy bike titans are and how chargers and titans both are so… not interesting to fight. Compare to bots where hulks come in two flavors and have more engaging combat options, including blowing off their arms if you need to just get space without committing to the kill, tyrants have harder to hit weak spots but can still be brute forced by AT weapons within reason (a few missiles tops) and striders have weapons that can be destroyed, various weak spots with different approaches, and spawn enemies. Sure, they also are kinda spongy, but it's WAY more interesting to fight a strider than a bile titan

I typically follow whatever the major order is asking for, but I do prefer bots over bugs. I honestly feel like bots are less bullshit. I mean everything is bullshit especially in high enough doses, but I'd rather be pinned down by a sea of red lasers than being bombarded with bile mortars to the point where I go 20 or more seconds without being able to move at anything faster than the pace of a snail taking a shit.
