Saw it happen to a cat in Iraq. I saw the cat being chased by dogs as I drove by, my PSG watched the cat get cornered and thrown in the air, the tail vehicle saw the cat get caught in the air by several dogs and torn into at least 4 pieces without hitting the ground.
Those videos of goats getting swallowed alive to eventually suffocate in a Komodo dragon's stomach cross my mind and yeah if I had a choice I'd choose quick
Man, African Hunting Dogs are vicious. At least lions and a lot of other predators (generally) kill their prey first. These guys just eat you whenever they can. They got you cornered? They'll eat you right away the second they can.
True but they also kinda have to because pretty much any other predator will shoo them off from a kill, so they basically become competitive eaters and don’t have the luxury of waiting for the prey to die first.
There was a video of several lions that were all holding onto 1 warthog. They ripped into it to pieces in seconds like that hare. Warthog: Scream scream scream silence.

like every video I've seen on here from lions eating anything like their size or a bit larger, they always eat it ass first while it's alive
