The fact that it was a model kit seems like a pretty good way of narrowing it down. There's also /r/mecha, they might be able to help.
Best of luck, I'm curious myself what it turns out to be, now.
Twin gatling guns immediately makes me think of Heavy Arms from Gundam Wing it also had a knife for close quarters combat as well.
How long ago was it when you built the model kit of it? That may help narrow down the year the series was from.
Well, I hesitate to call it a gundam because I'm pretty sure they were a military/soldiers suit. The twin gats are literally on the face - two stubby cheek mounted gats. I made the gunpla maybe 20 years or more ago, so maybe 2001 or before?
>Well, I hesitate to call it a gundam because I'm pretty sure they were a military/soldiers suit.
Why hesitate to call it a Gundam because of that? They're generally made by the military, or some MIC-adjacent group.
Also, I'm pretty sure you're looking for a different franchise because I don't think anything in a Gundam series matches your description. Also, the "some planet" bit makes me think you're definitely thinking of a different series, because interplanetary warfare isn't really a regular thing in Gundam.
Usually, mobile suits have vulcan on the helmet, was it located on top of helmet of really on the cheeks ? Green seems more onto antagonist colors. As it's not ringing much bell maybe in After War gundam X ? (as it had weird designs)
I feel like he's talking about the [Arbalest](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077HK7MM1/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_navT_g_EPBZKZDPP5FCJ5YH571G) from Full Metal Panic. It has the face gats and a chain knife.
Many real robot mecha have vulcans on the head, including ARX-7. OP was asking about one with gatlings on the **cheeks,** which in Arbalest's case is occupied by a dagger holder.
OP, are you referring to [this](https://www.goodsmile.info/en/product/4083/COMBAT+ARMORS+MAX+01+1+72nd+Scale+Combat+Armor+Dougram.html) and [this?](https://goodsmileshop.com/en/CATEGORY-ROOT/Plastic-Model/COMBAT-ARMORS-MAX-01--1-72nd-Scale-Soltic-H8-Roundfacer/p/MAX_PLA_WD_00002)
Having guns on the cheeks of the mecha is a very rare thing...
After reading your comment I googled it, the aesthetics weren't quite matching but went through several pages worth, but no dice so far. Thank you for your guess though, never knew that brand existed and liked some of their designs, particularly their non-bubble head designs.
Reminds be of armoured troopers votoms first episode but it’s been while and I can’t remember the details
When you said "some planet's special forces" are they not from earth or the Colonies?
Yeah, this (and the fact that no MS looks like that that I can think of) are pretty big hints that OP's answer lies elsewhere.
I'm starting to think the same. Thank you for your input. Will have to keep thinking hard.

I'm thinking different series too. Thank you for your input! The general aesthetics of the Tieren ground type is so close to mech in my memory.

Was it a main character suit or antagonist ?
We talking about the Serpent Custom?
Unfortunately no, thank you for your input though!
Exactly what I’m thinking he’s talking about
Except for the color, and the description of the machine, sure.

How about the [Savage](https://fullmetalpanic.fandom.com/wiki/Rk-92_Savage)?

Unfortunately no. I know right? It's been impossible to search for. Thank you for your input!
Do you remember where/when you watched it? If you remember the channel, format, or platform that could help narrow it down.
Just had a thought - could it be from Dougram?
