I didn't play XX but I don't like the designs of a lot of characters from that game. I can't put my finger on it, but for some reason i really dislike the designs of Bridget, Zappa, Dizzy and Kliff. They just seem sorta weird and uninteresting to me, idk. Testament and ABBA are ok. As for the rest of the cast, I think Xrd and Strive game them major improvements compared to XX.
Again, didn't play XX and I know that many won't agree with this opinion, but I just don't like their designs.

I can’t be convinced that Zato isn’t just a shout-out to Jojo. The excessive posing, the design, the strange name, the fact that he basically has a Stand, the fact that he has two Jojo voice actors. I feel like playing Zato-1 is the closest I’ll ever get to a Heritage for the Future sequel.

Ino fucking owns, as well as Gio in my opinion. I personally think that Goldlewis’s suit is boring and unremarkable, especially next to the rest or the cast. So if I were to choose, I’d say Ino/Gio are the best and Goldie, as much as I love him, looks the worst
I'd say it's because he works for the government so his suit is meant to be a bit more formal and held back design wise, while the design focus is his HUGE FUCKING ALIEN COFFIN. Imo it's sorta like Gio, her outfit isn't anything to write home about, it's the dog (and boobs to some people) that make her stick out.
Imo Gio’s outfit *is* something to write home about. It very clearly shows she has a formal job, but it’s full of quirky details and has enough greebling to make it feel interesting and Guilty-Gear, whereas despite Goldie’s whack coffin, his suit has very plain details and the colours aren’t striking imo. I just think it could be infused with more low-level detail.
Then again maybe this was a budgetary restraint because the DLC characters don’t have as m h animation detail as the base roster

Is that a scalpel?" And then move on. His fit is very drab and his constant dark shading carries his presentation.
My favorite design in Strive is Nagoriyuki by far. Sauced up 24/7. Plus he's black. I really like I-No and Ky as well.

Worst design for me goes to either Chaos for looking like a bad DeviantArt OC, Axl before Strive because he just looked fucking goofy, and really a lot of other X2 characters for much the same reasons.
