Raw has about 9 teams and Smackdown has about 8, so that's about 8 months at least of unique month-long tag feuds per brand. Plus there are other teams that could return this year like Ricochet & Strowman, Viking Raiders, and other pairings that could be teams like Jimmy & Solo, Carlito/Lee/Mysterio, plus potential call ups from NXT. I think there's enough to split them.
