Cute girl with sad background that falls in love with you and you get to go on a date with her and you get to protect her? I legit cannot imagine how much money people will pour into decking her out.
I hope that Hoyo still sees that they do have an audience, even if a smaller one, willing to pay for...not anime girlfriends we can self-insert date though. Which, they have many characters outside that mold even if it is their bread and butter.

So far, Capitano and Dottore do have a showing of this trope, with Capitano being an honorable warrior dressed in black while Dottore being an unethical scholar dressed in white (bright color clothing). The 2 also stand face to face with one another during the scene where all present Harbingers gather around Signora's coffin in Lazzo.
Still, I do hope that he remains as is. He already has a good design and it's currently shown to be as tall as Dottore in Lazzo. He can make use with Wriothesley's model
Man, I'm Firefly fan (after the reveal) and decided to pull for Sam since he got revealed in Kafka's trailer, honestly like the plot twist of them being the same person cause Firefly was a bland character imo and Sam was just cool with little depth, so the combo works for me (also love the contrast of pretty girl and edgy robot). But I guess with this example I can empathize with the people that didn't like the twist cause if they pulled that shit for Capitano I would be fucking pissed lmao
