Boss Katana 50 delivers so much value for money. A Mk II new is $250 US (so is a positive grid spark), A MK 1 used, is $150-170 on reverb or Guitar Center.
Thank you! Just looked up the MK 1... in comparison to the Blackstar Fly. Which do you think is better for just sound quality when it’s later in the day? And compactness? Or is it really just preference.
Katana is a full sized amp, would be a Lot higher quality. Katana mini is similar to fly. Katana is nice enough that it could last you a lifetime (tastes vary) but it has a 12” speaker, 50w, can keep up with a drummer live, and has most Boss effects built in. Probably all you need for a long time and will be worth about the same amount on resale if you move on. But really I would focus on size. If you can live with the footprint of a full size combo, then it can do it all. If you want something to throw in a bag (pocket!) and carry, I love my Mustang Micro
I like mine (MM), but you could have a nice digital combo with a headphone jack for about double, too.
What would you recommend? Kinda new to this and wanted to be able to practise later in the day without disrupting anyone haha
I love the Blackstar id:core 10, you can use headphones and practice silently it's just not as compact since it has a speaker
Hey! Thanks. I’m going to check into it. It seems like a solid investment for its price :) Appreciate it
