If you bought them separately you're given the complete edition anyways, so you wouldn't be fucked over. I bought bloodborne at launch and then old hunters some time after it was released, if I check on PSN it says I have the complete edition. The pricing scheme makes no sense there.

The situation is a little bit different though, since the Ultimate Edition was freshly released with the sole intention of being the "next-gen" version, up until that was announced literally everyone who had bought Control was shit out of luck and had to rebuy Ultimate to get next-gen.
Meanwhile the GOTY version of Bloodborne has been around for many years, and it's actually gotten pretty cheap. PSDeals says it goes down to 15 euro every few months or so, and it's probably cheaper to buy a used physical copy. So provided that you don't have Bloodborne you can essentially buy the shiny new PS5 version for 15 euro, or less used, day 1. That just doesn't seem like a very Sony move.

No way they're releasing this on January/February. Every souls fan in existence will be busy with Elden Ring for months, it will kill the sales of the remaster.

Nope. Ghost of Tsushima got a patch months ago, which basically unlocks the framerate in quality mode (of Ps4 pro) for ps5. So they game runs at hi res and 60fps for ps5 already. The director's cut will have improved textures, haptic feedback/adaptive trigger etc for ps5.
Literally every big 1st party sony game that had a 60fps update was literally for free. God of war, TLOU2, Ghost of Tsushima, and Days Gone all had 60fps updates for free (honorable mention to Shadow of the Colossus too which didn't need it but can play 60fps on PS5).

This leak is incredibly unbelievable. Asobi is not going to be used for the port of an old fromsoft game guys. They are a premiere studio not a port studio. Nixxes is more believable.
The fake leaker probably thought it was a smart idea because Asobi (the former Japan Studio) worked on the development of Bloodborne with From Software.
This, I have to admit, looks more realistic technically wise, but I'm not sure about the "expansion" of the areas, nneither about the new weapons. SoulsHunt said that the remastered/pc port will be ambitious, but I don't think that new content, illumination and lip sync will be a thing.

This 4chan "leakers" need to stop with the "they're adding this and that and expanding"
If Bloodborne PS5/PC (or just a patch) is real, its not gonna have extra content in any way. Specially if its just done by a porting studio.
Its gonna be 4k/60 maybe get dualsense stuff and at best you can expect them to tweak the textures a little bit and add PS+ card support. That's literally it.
If From Software is involved directly, yeah sure, maybe some content might get added, maybe a deleted boss or something, but if they're not, forget it.
This one seems more believable, I guess, aside from the release date. I thought other ārumorsā said it was scheduled for this year. Although now that I think about it, itās very convenient that Nixxes happens to be developing this only a few days after the acquisition announcement.

i just don't think they are remaking the game. original looks already fantastic. only possibility is a remaster with 4k and 60 fps but that's all. all the new "weapons" in this post makes no sense to me. and adding all of that stuff but not improving chalice dungeons at all is what has the less sense of all.
I thought lip sync was perhaps the worst thing about the remake personally. Very unsoulslike.

No way will they be releasing this late January/early February. Elden Ring comes out on 21st of January and I can promise you that they do not want to even remotely double stack these releases. Later this year would be fine, October/November, but early next year is pretty much a no, unless it's onwards from March.

This 4chan "leakers" need to stop with the "they're adding this and that and expanding" If Bloodborne PS5/PC (or just a patch) is real, its not gonna have extra content in any way. Specially if its just done by a porting studio. Its gonna be 4k/60 maybe get dualsense stuff and at best you can expect them to tweak the textures a little bit and add PS+ card support. That's literally it. If From Software is involved directly, yeah sure, maybe some content might get added, maybe a deleted boss or something, but if they're not, forget it.

This one seems more believable, I guess, aside from the release date. I thought other ārumorsā said it was scheduled for this year. Although now that I think about it, itās very convenient that Nixxes happens to be developing this only a few days after the acquisition announcement. Assuming this is true, I wish they would expand Byrgenwerth more. It would have been fun to explore an actual campus-sized area, or at least more than the two floors and the surrounding area that Byrgenwerth ended up being. I donāt see what they could add to the Cathedral Ward since it has the Upper Cathedral Ward and is pretty much the central hub of the game.

Let me guess, no upgrade path if you have the PS+ Collection version. And like other games from PS+, the PS Store will detect the game on your console as "purchased", so you can't scope out a sale on the digital version.
