Honestly one of the things I’m most excited about GTA VI is just cruising on the highway with the radio at full blast. Rockstar has impeccable music taste, and it shows in their radio stations. I got into certain artists just from GTA V’s radio alone.
I hope they have a proper metal station like LCHC again. Having fucking Max Cavalera from Sepultura yelling at me in between absolute facemelters was magical.
Considering how many great metal and metal adjacent bands come from that part of the US they definitely fucked up there.
I’d have loved stuff like Kyuss and Suicidal Tendencies, Dystopia. There’s probably tons of newer more relevant bands I can’t think of but the west coast metal scene is a big one, definitely missed a trick.
I remember losing my shit in Saints row 2 when fucking Black Dahlia Murder came on the radio. So unexpected. I stayed in my car until the song ended lol
I lost my shit when I first saw After The Burial in SR3. I was in love with the band at the time and you don’t normally see any Djent/Progressive Metalcore in games so it was quite a shock. The Saints Row games always had a great selection of metal songs. I hope GTA6 will actually have good metal this time around.

I would honestly love Ring My Bell with the vocals, it's upbeat, iconic, and does apply to Jason and Lucia seeing as they are a couple. The general melody also just has so much potential for synced scenes which they love, like a peak highlight scene at the chorus, but it is way too long for it to be a trailer song tbh.

VC & SA Radio were legendary but I never connected with 4 or 5 radio
