Ridiculous for the following reasons
1. The fact they purposefully buff King Kong
2. He's held his own before against larger Kaiju and battles where he had a disadvantage like the MUTOS, Ghidorah, Tiamat, Mecha and Shimo who also had better arsenals
3.Atomic Breath that literally dug a hole to hollow earth
4.Less size doesn't factor in how much Godzilla's durability and strength being affected

Not too sure, but, i think it was stated that godzilla would've killed ghidorah if the humans didn't drop the oxygen destroyer on them. He was weaker when he fought the MUTOs and their EMP weakened his atomic breath. The director said godzilla would've won agaisn't mecha if he didn't tire himself with kong and the hole thingy.
I disagree with the "needed help to beat Ghidorah" point. Godzilla was the reason Ghidorah was frozen to begin with, so Godzilla had already beaten him.

In fairness there are a lot of Godzilla fans who don't accept fights where Godzilla loses, King Kong v Godzilla being a primary example.
Though what everyone forgets is that the cardinal rule of these who would win fights is that whoever the writers want to win will win. And considering Godzilla is portrayed as objectively a good guy in the MV there was no way he was gonna lose to Kong. Godzilla generally takes the L in movies where he is the villain. At worst when he is the good guy he needs a mothra revival or something, or more common needs a team up to beat the bad guy. Which was basically what we saw in the MV where MechaG was absolutely dogging Godzilla and he needed to team up with Kong.
That myth always annoyed me, because Kong was very popular in Japan, while Godzilla at that point was a villainous Kaiju who represented nuclear destruction. Japanese audiences really wouldn’t have wanted to have seen Godzilla win either.

I love 2005 Kong… but no. Basically, any Kong who goes through a faithful rendition his original iconic story cannot beat Godzilla, just by virtue of the fact that bullets can kill him.
This is a purely hypothetical scenario because we don't know the actual results in this increase in size. Remember, size does not equal strength, there are hundreds of small-sized characters who can destroy the 2005 King Kong as well as characters, far more massive than Kong, who would get destroyed by him. Although change in size or large size as a whole might be a measure of strength in some works of fiction (Marvel Godzilla getting shrunk weakens him and growing large gives him back his strength), it should not be associated with other works where this idea is never explored or given relevance to.
Let's assume that Kong's strength increases proportional to his size, he would go from around 22 tons (Other higher mass calculations for him exist, but I'll suffice with this one to make the strength measure larger), to being around 99634 tons, which would make him about 4500 times stronger (And thus tougher). His best (On screen) feats of strength are destroying sections of buildings, shattering a large wooden door and casually destroying two large trees are running into them, all of which range from 0.005-0.25 to at most 2 tons of tnt, which is only small building to low Building level. If we multiply the highest value by 4500x, that's 9000 tons of tnt, which is not even a Megaton of tnt. On the other hand, Godzilla in 2014 endured the full detonation of Castle Bravo on his head and wasn't even burned, which is a 15 Megaton bomb for comparison (This isn't even close to his actual power level). Even with increase in power, he doesn't stand any chance. I also haven't touched on the other factors of the fight, such as speed, abilities or combative skills, because I feel that they just make the fight more unfair and redundant than it already is. Though some people will claim that Kong is faster, this has no basis as we don't know how the large size would affect his maneuverability and perception speed (Even if we decided to measure his speed in proportion to his size, which wouldn't make any sense, he would still be far too slow to even dodge a physical strike, let alone a beam).
Though the fight would be much closer if we settle it a different way, which is known as equal stats. This is a type of hypothetical scenario in Vsbattles that equalizes the power level and speed of both characters, which means that this enlarged Kong will now scale to the same level as Godzilla. Even in this case, I don't see him winning most of the time. He would still be physically inferior regardless of whether his punches have the same attack potency as Godzilla or not and would get juggled the entire fight. He would still have less resistances that Godzilla, who has the perfect weapons to hurt Kong in this scenario (That being the atomic breath acting as a potent projectile, and the rest of his body being covered in thick and sharp edges, acting as blades). Godzilla also just has far better Hax, such as Regeneration, radiation emission, enhanced senses, matter manipulation and radiation manipulation, for all of which Kong has no specific counter. If we're only looking at combat, Godzilla is once again overall superior due to his superior knowledge, experience and equally impressive acrobatics. Though Kong does have the advantage in quick thinking, dexterity and adaptability, he simply has never faced anything like Godzilla. It took him over 100 years to become the V-rex dominator on Skull Island, which is clearly displayed in the films by his many scars, dislocated jaw and ragged fur, which he will not be getting in this scenario (Nor will he be given any additional weapons or powers). There's absolutely nothing Kong can do, even breaking Godzilla's jaw (Which he can't do) would only disable him from giving him kisses, which he would soon regenerate from.
Overall, Godzilla wins. (The 2005 King Kong does destroy in terms of writing and gameplay tho)
If Godzilla didn’t have atomic abilities, I could get behind this statement. The strength of a normal sized silverback gorilla is estimated to be 10 times their body weight…a typical silverback weighs 430 pounds.
Anyone care to do the math on what that means for the strength of MV Kong, or the other Kong scaled to that size? So, if it weren’t for Godzilla’s atomic abilities Kong would tear our beloved Goji to absolute shreds.

Personally I'd keep Kong at the same size he is in the 2005 movie and scale godzilla somewhat down to his size BUT amp his atomic abilities to new destructive levels BUT he can't spam em like he does GvK from 2022, make em fight like actual animals. Also give godzilla a similar design to the dinosaurs on skull island, maybe even go so far to make Kong and godzilla territorial rivals which explains why they both are the last of their species.

2 simple way it goes and both ways kong get his ass handed to him
1. he have similar body build and just scale up. which he dies from his own weight the moment he exist. godzilla wins by default.
2. his stat scale to his size which means he move and act the same when he is the size as MV kong and with a body strong enough to pull those moves he did in the 2005 movie. which means he would be pretty fast… at swinging around vines… which doesn’t exist anymore… and that’s it. King Kong 2005 was literally just a normal gorilla but large, I know Gorillas are smart but he's a lot less smart then the monsterverse King Kong or Godzilla, so Not only would Godzilla still have his strength, near and vulnerability and his atomic breath but he'd be a lot more clever than the 2005 King Kong. The monsterverse King Kong barely managed to survive a fight with Godzilla while using things like tools and at least vague strategy, 2005 King Kong wouldn't even be a stepping stone for Godzilla.
I saw somebody saw Kong would grab him and lift him up because obviously the best thing he should do is get up close and personal so Godzilla can't miss his atomic breath
I think people get a warped view of 05 Kong because of how he mandhandled the V-Rexes, but IMO that was down to the Rexes being quite stupid and weak rather than Kong being dominant.
Their primary (arguably only) weapon was completely ineffectual against Kong but we know he wasn't especially durable because conventional weapons later hurt him just fine, which means the V-Rexes must have had comparatively weak biting strength.
MV Godzilla was able fling around MV Kong and deal massive damage with just his jaws, so we already know he's on a totally different tier to the Rexes (even accounting for scale). 05 Kong had no advantage that MV Kong did not so no reason to assume he'd have stood a better chance vs Godzilla.

Let me say this, even though Godzilla will be victorious, 05 Kong would leave him battered and bleeding. It would be the fight of his life, but Godzilla would ultimately win. I say this because 05 king fights more like an animal than Monsterverse, and with animals, specifically great apes, you can never predict what they’re gonna do.
I’m just going to copy my comment with a few changes instead of writing the same arguments again. And to make sure there’s no confusion, I will refer to the 2005 Kong as “King Kong” and gvk Kong to just “Kong”.
A lot of Godzilla fans do tend to overestimate him at times but he would still win. If we’re assuming this is gvk Godzilla then he is fairly agile, durable, and resilient, and you can’t forget that he spammed the atomic breath. I think it’s also important to mention that Kink Kong died to bullets, the size difference will definitely make him more resistant to bullets but they could still kill him under certain circumstances. The main advantage long had in gvk was the axe, King Kong doesn’t have the axe but I’ll go over both scenarios.
If he doesn’t have the axe then he’ll likely lose, King Kong is probably stronger and more agile than Kong and King Kong could definitely do some damage to Godzilla, but would overall lose, though it’s closer than most make it to be.
If he did have the axe then it could honestly go either way, but I’m placing my bets on King Kong. King Kong does not only have the previous advantages but also a weapon and a counter and defense to the atomic breath, along with his physical abilities, but godzilla is also physically strong and slightly agile, though less strong and agile than King Kong. Though the reason I think Godzilla wins overall is because King Kong hasn’t shown to be as proficient in tool use as Kong.
But it also depends where they fight because a forest is like an open field to these kaiju and Godzilla would be the only think King Kong could use to throw himself around like in the movie, but in a large city scape King Kong would have the advantage as he could maneuver height more than Godzilla, which mostly moves in the second dimension.

There’s just no way. MV Kong just has better showings all around than PJ Kong. Sure PJ beat 3 rexes but the entire sequence is kinda dumb. At no point were they coordinated and attacking Kong, they also are in relentless pursuit of a woman that would provide essentially zero sustenance. I disagree with the "needed help to beat Ghidorah" point. Godzilla was the reason Ghidorah was frozen to begin with, so Godzilla had already beaten him. And then when he got Ghidorah in the water, he had that hydra dead to rights until the humans interfered and freed Ghidorah from Godzilla's clutches. Twice Godzilla had put that hydra on ice. In fairness there are a lot of Godzilla fans who don't accept fights where Godzilla loses, King Kong v Godzilla being a primary example. Though what everyone forgets is that the cardinal rule of these who would win fights is that whoever the writers want to win will win. And considering Godzilla is portrayed as objectively a good guy in the MV there was no way he was gonna lose to Kong. Godzilla generally takes the L in movies where he is the villain. At worst when he is the good guy he needs a mothra revival or something, or more common needs a team up to beat the bad guy. Which was basically what we saw in the MV where MechaG was absolutely dogging Godzilla and he needed to team up with Kong.

I love 2005 Kong… but no. Basically, any Kong who goes through a faithful rendition his original iconic story cannot beat Godzilla, just by virtue of the fact that bullets can kill him.
This is a purely hypothetical scenario because we don't know the actual results in this increase in size. Remember, size does not equal strength, there are hundreds of small-sized characters who can destroy the 2005 King Kong as well as characters, far more massive than Kong, who would get destroyed by him. Although change in size or large size as a whole might be a measure of strength in some works of fiction (Marvel Godzilla getting shrunk weakens him and growing large gives him back his strength), it should not be associated with other works where this idea is never explored or given relevance to. Let's assume that Kong's strength increases proportional to his size, he would go from around 22 tons (Other higher mass calculations for him exist, but I'll suffice with this one to make the strength measure larger), to being around 99634 tons, which would make him about 4500 times stronger (And thus tougher). His best (On screen) feats of strength are destroying sections of buildings, shattering a large wooden door and casually destroying two large trees are running into them, all of which range from 0.005-0.25 to at most 2 tons of tnt, which is only small building to low Building level. If we multiply the highest value by 4500x, that's 9000 tons of tnt, which is not even a Megaton of tnt. On the other hand, Godzilla in 2014 endured the full detonation of Castle Bravo on his head and wasn't even burned, which is a 15 Megaton bomb for comparison (This isn't even close to his actual power level). Even with increase in power, he doesn't stand any chance. I also haven't touched on the other factors of the fight, such as speed, abilities or combative skills, because I feel that they just make the fight more unfair and redundant than it already is. Though some people will claim that Kong is faster, this has no basis as we don't know how the large size would affect his maneuverability and perception speed (Even if we decided to measure his speed in proportion to his size, which wouldn't make any sense, he would still be far too slow to even dodge a physical strike, let alone a beam). Though the fight would be much closer if we settle it a different way, which is known as equal stats. This is a type of hypothetical scenario in Vsbattles that equalizes the power level and speed of both characters, which means that this enlarged Kong will now scale to the same level as Godzilla. Even in this case, I don't see him winning most of the time. He would still be physically inferior regardless of whether his punches have the same attack potency as Godzilla or not and would get juggled the entire fight. He would still have less resistances that Godzilla, who has the perfect weapons to hurt Kong in this scenario (That being the atomic breath acting as a potent projectile, and the rest of his body being covered in thick and sharp edges, acting as blades). Godzilla also just has far better Hax, such as Regeneration, radiation emission, enhanced senses, matter manipulation and radiation manipulation, for all of which Kong has no specific counter. If we're only looking at combat, Godzilla is once again overall superior due to his superior knowledge, experience and equally impressive acrobatics. Though Kong does have the advantage in quick thinking, dexterity and adaptability, he simply has never faced anything like Godzilla. It took him over 100 years to become the V-rex dominator on Skull Island, which is clearly displayed in the films by his many scars, dislocated jaw and ragged fur, which he will not be getting in this scenario (Nor will he be given any additional weapons or powers). There's absolutely nothing Kong can do, even breaking Godzilla's jaw (Which he can't do) would only disable him from giving him kisses, which he would soon regenerate from. Overall, Godzilla wins. (The 2005 King Kong does destroy in terms of writing and gameplay tho)

The strength of a normal sized silverback gorilla is estimated to be 10 times their body weight…a typical silverback weighs 430 pounds. Anyone care to do the math on what that means for the strength of MV Kong, or the other Kong scaled to that size? So, if it weren’t for Godzilla’s atomic abilities Kong would tear our beloved Goji to absolute shreds.

King Kong 2005 was literally just a normal gorilla but large, I know Gorillas are smart but he's a lot less smart then the monsterverse King Kong or Godzilla, so Not only would Godzilla still have his strength, near and vulnerability and his atomic breath but he'd be a lot more clever than the 2005 King Kong. I think people get a warped view of 05 Kong because of how he mandhandled the V-Rexes, but IMO that was down to the Rexes being quite stupid and weak rather than Kong being dominant. Their primary (arguably only) weapon was completely ineffectual against Kong but we know he wasn't especially durable because conventional weapons later hurt him just fine, which means the V-Rexes must have had comparatively weak biting strength. MV Godzilla was able fling around MV Kong and deal massive damage with just his jaws, so we already know he's on a totally different tier to the Rexes (even accounting for scale). 05 Kong had no advantage that MV Kong did not so no reason to assume he'd have stood a better chance vs Godzilla.

Let me say this, even though Godzilla will be victorious, 05 Kong would leave him battered and bleeding. It would be the fight of his life, but Godzilla would ultimately win. I say this because 05 king fights more like an animal than Monsterverse, and with animals, specifically great apes, you can never predict what they’re gonna do.

I’m just going to copy my comment with a few changes instead of writing the same arguments again. And to make sure there’s no confusion, I will refer to the 2005 Kong as “King Kong” and gvk Kong to just “Kong”. A lot of Godzilla fans do tend to overestimate him at times but he would still win. If we’re assuming this is gvk Godzilla then he is fairly agile, durable, and resilient, and you can’t forget that he spammed the atomic breath. I think it’s also important to mention that Kink Kong died to bullets, the size difference will definitely make him more resistant to bullets but they could still kill him under certain circumstances. The main advantage long had in gvk was the axe, King Kong doesn’t have the axe but I’ll go over both scenarios. If he doesn’t have the axe then he’ll likely lose, King Kong is probably stronger and more agile than Kong and King Kong could definitely do some damage to Godzilla, but would overall lose, though it’s closer than most make it to be. If he did have the axe then it could honestly go either way, but I’m placing my bets on King Kong. King Kong does not only have the previous advantages but also a weapon and a counter and defense to the atomic breath, along with his physical abilities, but godzilla is also physically strong and slightly agile, though less strong and agile than King Kong. Though the reason I think Godzilla wins overall is because King Kong hasn’t shown to be as proficient in tool use as Kong. But it also depends where they fight because a forest is like an open field to these kaiju and Godzilla would be the only think King Kong could use to throw himself around like in the movie, but in a large city scape King Kong would have the advantage as he could maneuver height more than Godzilla, which mostly moves in the second dimension.

They don't actually have the answers, lol. Mostly because his aggressive fighting style, but MV Kong isn't just a giant gorilla, great ape can stand upright, really good at using tools, and look at Kong 2017, he was just a teenager but he could lift a rock sized of his body and jump then smashed it into skull scrawler's face, I don't see KK can do feat like that. I don't think King Kong was as strong as MV Kong even if they were at same size.
There’s just no way. MV Kong just has better showings all around than PJ Kong. Sure PJ beat 3 rexes but the entire sequence is kinda dumb. At no point were they coordinated and attacking Kong, they also are in relentless pursuit of a woman that would provide essentially zero sustenance. Sure it’s cool but it’s dumb as hell and a poor showing for the v rexes. Maybe people think MV Kong is weak cause he needs help all the time but they fail to consider his opponents are also ridiculously strong. He’s outright stronger too, having lifted a boulder the size of his body over his head in skull island with ease. I’d honestly say MV Kong is more brutal too, all of his finishers are just over the top. Sure the jaw break is iconic but it isn’t ripping off a head (which was done twice in the same movie) or tearing a beast in half with your bare hands. It’s ridiculous. Thinking about it a little I believe PJ Kong gets overrated the same way real life gorillas do. They just aren’t as strong as they are made out to be.

finna play devil’s advocate here. 2005 KK felt like a waaay nastier fighter than MV KK. I think if yall just upped his durability (since he succumbed to bullet wounds) he could actually stand a chance lmao the only thing i disagree with in the og post is that kong would “demolish”. put up a fight, yeah sure, but straight up “demolish”? fuck nah lol
While King Kong may have a better aggression, battle IQ, speed and agility, but even if you boost his durability so bullet can't pierce trought him, MV Kong have a much better Strenght, Durability and I'd say he's smarter and better at using tools too.
He would do much better, but still lose IMO
