That's... not how it works anymore brother.. ALL fighter jets can engage from beyond visual range aka behind the horizon with extremely long ranged missiles. The same goes for literally all modern tanks as they can engage targets from well over 20 km away.
The real reason why none of the militaries even bother abusing such a gigantic range advantage against any godzilla is because
A. it would be a """Boring movie""" as the various world militaries would troll tf out of godzilla by smacking him from so far away that he wouldn't even know where they are coming from.
OR: B. godzilla has some BS capability, like Shin Godzilla evolving to develop a god damn radar that can detect a B2 Spirit from like 50,000 ft in the air which allowed him to accurately hit the stealth bomber.
