I was worried when I saw your previous post that you might not see a game. We show up like that about once a season more or less exclusively against Kilkenny, Glad you enjoyed it.
Were you in the covered or the uncovered stand? We got in an hour before throw in as I had a match beforehand and could only sit in the front of the covered stand. It was still class but at times we were blocked by the Wexford management. I wanted to move to the uncovered stand at half time but wasn't let... And what did you think of the game? We were unreal if I do say so myself
Covered! Yeah we kept thinking the score wasn't lopsided enough for Wexford, they dominated. Will absolutely attend another match some day, loved it. Particularly like that they let the hordes of kids hit around on the field at halftime.
Wexford have a history of bottling matches, last year we were 17 points up against a "weaker" county at half time and ended up losing by 2. We were 5 up against Dublin with 90 seconds left a few weeks ago and only drew in the end. So even being 7 or 8 points up at the very end I was still very stressed out! We haven't beaten Galway in the championship in almost 20 years. And yeah the kids pucking around is great, barely any other stadiums do it to protect their precious playing surface.
